Great to see Brock's progress...

It's also great to see that Mike Barwis continues to see the value in associating himself with the University of Michigan (see prominent block M's and winged helmets on his web site).

How long does he get to use Michigan as a marketing tool?

What I enjoyed most...

What I enjoyed most about the game was seeing Coach Hoke sporting the Superman™ hair curl.

Oh, Bob Ufer...

Oh, Bob Ufer... How I wish you could have seen this...

Has anyone checked on Jim Brandstatter? Was there a cardiologist in the booth tonight? Has he checked into the hospital yet? Is there a room ready and waiting for him?

The thing I love...

The thing I love is that TP is lucky enough to be reminded about the empire that he helped bring down every time he looks at those never-going-away tattoos… hopefully just a little sting every time he glances at them…

The good news is that he'll also always have that college degree that no one can take away from him.

No.

No, I'm more stupider.

I just find the change in tone to be a little drastic… I think most of us would have liked an option that was less Hokey. We didn't get it. Let's trust that the powers that be have Michigan's best interest in mind, and things will work out… just like they did with that last guy.

Jesus...

Just quit the F*ing blog, Brian. You didn't get the coach you wanted. Let's move on.

From Michigan's FB

From Michigan's Facebook page:

How do you top Brady Hoke's first day on the job? Announce that Denard Robinson has decided to stay at Michigan. Oh, and longtime Michigan running backs coach Fred Jackson will be back too, according to Detroit News beat writer Angelique Chengelis.

Right on... GO BLUE!

Without Question

This was a wonderful post… I shared it with my wife, who expressed some concern for the feelings of said wife when she read the post… Her fears were hopefully put to rest with "My wife reads this blog and doesn’t realize that it’s just humor playing off of Brian’s previews."

I do like the prediction for the final score… looks like the wife could beat the spread… and I always love it when the wife beats the spread.

Me? I'm off to the paint store, hardware store and will spend the day painting for my special lady...

PLEASE.

If something is not done, I'm begging Greg Robinson to fall on a sword. Thank god for offense, because the defense could stop NOTHING. Ugh.

It's true.

I especially appreciated his character when, after the game, he was approached by someone with a microphone, and Denard kindly blew off said reporter so that he might continue being a good sport to some of the ND players. Well done, Denard.

WOOOT!

A lot of fun... what's the record on QB pass completion percentage? 19 for 22 has to be up there, no?

Does this mean...

Does this mean that we do end up with the possibility that M could play tOSU in the final week of the regular season, and then again in a championship game? I'm not sure my heart could take two weeks in a row...

Thanks for posting the Yosting... That picture... it is now MINE! ALL MINE, I tell you!!! What a great combination of things that I love: all things weird, the Michigan tradition, and (of course) CURLING! This is going to be a great addition to my bar. Thanks!! http://www.curlthezoo.org
Amen, Sister. I understand that for a lot of people (myself included), the wind was often taken out of the sails for the fans... Hard to bounce back when you give a gift touchdown on the very first possession of the game... but I can't get down on the field and give instruction to the players. I can't make player substitutions... but what I can do is to help the team that I support to NOT feel like they are playing in someone else's stadium. The improvements to OUR stadium are such that the crowd really can become the 12th player on the team. There's no doubt that the new structures are going to reflect more noise down to the field. But we have to make the noise in the first place. Even when those among us sell out their tickets so that more OSU Badguys can fill our stadium, those who stay... well... you know... we need to be champions, too.
I'll take the loss... I'll take the loss in exchange for a win on the 21st. Go Blue!
I love that the Ft. Wayne Examiner... I love that the Fort Wayne Examiner, Daily Digest Sentinel has the start time listed at 3:30 on their web site... is this because Indiana is still having difficulty getting used to daylight savings time? Or is this designed to spare Hoosier fans the stress of watching the game?
Go Broncos! Western, despite losing to the Chips, is looking pretty good, too!! Go Broncos!
No Doubt The dude always appears as if someone has just done something terrible to his family. He's a walking grudge.
First First!
My Beef My beef with the offense is that it has been sold as this fast-paced offense, with guys hustling back to the ball for every play... and I'm not seeing it. Now, I know I'm a moron, but the pace of the game when Michigan has the ball does not seem any faster than any other team gathered in a huddle... With all the sideline checking that's going on, it sure seems to me that defenses have plenty of time to get themselves ready for whatever might be coming their way... this may fall on the players, not being certain of their offense, but could it also be from coaches who are second and third-guessing their offense, so that in the end it's not the defense that is caught off-balance, but the Michigan offense? I'm not trying to be silly here... does anyone think that this offense looks faster getting from one play to the next? with the obvious difference being the simple lack of a huddle...
It's not.

It's not... Lloyd should have stepped down then, too... it is no worse at all... it is equally horrible.

 Signed,

Moron.

Yep. While it would be nice if we could keep the politics out of here... I do agree that Michigan should NEVER lose to a MAC team. EVER. And it should be written into a Michigan coach's contract that if they were EVER to lose to a MAC school, that they will IMMEDIATELY resign. This is much worse than App State... I am truly stunned at how dismal this year is turning out... and to lose to a bounce off the crossbar and a missed chip shot TO A MAC SCHOOL is just unacceptable... I guess I have no choice but to just start rooting the MAC schools... Go Broncos!!
Many Thanks Wonderful song... wonderful version... it will be tagged under the "RELIGIOUS" genre of music in my iTunes library. To be played at my funeral!
