This year just feels different right now. * Love to hear that about Stonum. If he can stretch the field and the OL can pass-protect, this offense hits a different gear. * Love to hear that Tate has got a lot of fight left in him. This team has two legitimate options at QB with game experience. Sitting behind them? The most talented QB Rich has ever recruited. Long way from '08. * If Smith is healthy and the light has gone on for Cox, would feel much, much better about RB. * Lastly, Rich seems as upbeat as ever in the face of a make or break season. Seems to be some confidence here across the board. |

Is it somehow possible that UM could play: * Bama * ND * OSU * PSU * Nebraska * MSU * Wisconsin Or something along those lines? This would be the toughest schedule I have ever seen. Having said that, the national exposure for a good Michigan team against a schedule like that would be huge. |

If you want to get accurate information about these kids, you can't run with that info make it a story. I doubt the comments were as represented, but others have done a good job paraphrasing what was likely said. Again, if you're paid to evaluate these kids, why would you take a chance on losing a useful resource. I don't want to wish the summer away, but kicking the living snot out of UConn can't get here fast enough... |

Seems like some combination of Turner, Cam Gordon, Marvin, Thomas Gordon, and Kovacs should fill the spots currently occupied by the Gordons and Kovacs. Then, Dorsey would start out at corner along with Christian and others filling out the depth behind Floyd and Woolfolk. Appears that there is some semblance of depth being created. |

That English is one of the guys that 'other' people in the program wanted to be considered. RR knows that. He will take NO prisoners in this game and I see no let up. This is a storyline that the public isn't as privy to. Lay 'em. |

Of course he plays music that none of his players were alive when it was released. This is just a little microcosm of why ND sucks. It's about Charlie. It's all about Charlie and what we wants, right down to playing Bon Jovi for a bunch of kids that thing Eminem is the golden oldies. Schematic advantage this. |

Both losses, too. I will reserve judgment until I see when and where the return game is scheduled. People need to remember that ND was supposed to be the major non-con matchup for UM when that deal was signed. UConn isn't an insulting matchup and I actually think they've got a lot of pieces in place to build a good program over time. But again, I will reserve judgment until the entire layout of the series is announce. |
| 3 years 43 weeks ago | UVA, Duke, Pitt.... |
Pitt may make sense at Heinz and in the middle of an area that is important from a recruiting standpoint. Would Duke play in Charlotte at the Panthers stadium? Maybe UVA at RFK stadium or the Meadowlands where both schools have a lot of Alums? Bill Martin is a pretty innovative guy when it comes to stuff like this and I'd have to think that he's thinking about many possibilities. |

Maybe Bill Martin is looking at a deal where he plays one game at the Big House and one at a neutral site in which they'd be the 'road' team. I'd love to see Michigan in the Meadowlands or something along those lines. |

If there's ONE thing this team needs right now, it's swaggerificness. Good teams think that they're good and other teams fear them because of that. |

The Michigan coaches give Boren an outright release allowing him to go to OSU and he thanks them by setting the bridge ablaze as he leaves. That should be all anyone needs to know about the situation. |

Always love what the other players have to say about Gardner. |

5'8" Rivals still thought he was #151 in the country and a rock-solid 4*. This kid can cleary play. |

Good thing for recruiting. That Kansas team is going to be nasty next year, though. |

If USC doesn't play for the MNC this year, that will be four years without an MNC game. A team that has recruited like they have, shouldn't go a full recruiting cycle without an appearance in the game, especially in that conference. 2006 - Losses to Oregon St. at home and UCLA 'on the road'. Neither of those teams was very good. So, while it's true that USC record-wise is still very good, I really think that their style of play makes them a little more beatable than they should be. Really good teams almost never beat USC, but there seems to be a game or two every year where they let a team hang with them that shouldn't and they lose. I'd obviously take their last three years over UMs, but I'd speed the game up if I were them and play the odds. |

And this is why USC doesn't have nearly enough to show for their efforts. Pro-style = clock kill = decreased margin for error. Oregon State? Stanford? Limit the possessions and they have a chance. |
