"A regulation eight-run-rule game shall be declared by the plate umpire if one team is ahead by eight or more runs after five or more equal innings." |
| 25 weeks 13 hours ago | I am not looking for Hoke to |
I am not looking for Hoke to name names and throw someone under the bus. The best he could probably do would be a collective "we failed to call a good game." Of course since he is so hands off with respect to the offense it would be obvious where the failure lies. I can respect that Hoke doesn't do that. However, Borges could accept the blame and you know he won't. If we ever hear from him regarding this game all I expect to hear is that he wouldn't have changed anything, that the plays were there, that we failed to execute, and that he doesn't think he was predictable. He probably will also state that he won't reexamine his approach to the game because this is how he has been doing things for twenty some odd years. Unfortunately the pessimist in me expects our bowl game to be just as poorly called if we face a remotely stout defense. |
| 25 weeks 13 hours ago | How about |
Hoke or Borges man up and accept the blame for calling a bad game just once. I am sick of them blaming a loss on execution or failing to get the players coached up. While those certainly contribute to the loss, they are the easy way to take the blame. When players step up and take the blame, as we have Denard do many times, I think it speaks poorly of the coaches when they fail to do the same. That is why I agree that it is troubling that Hoke thought "thought the playcalling was exactly what it should have been" |

The Navy still has these things called aircraft carriers all of which are nuclear powered these days and most (all?) of which are configured for women. |

He deserves a big send off in the Big House. I sure want him healthy for Ohio State though. If his elbow is marginal, it will probably be a really tough decision for Hoke and Co. |

So where/who is the supposed commit this weekend? How could you not jump at the opportunity to play for this team! |
| 29 weeks 1 day ago | In his 10/15 presser |
He said Gardner was getting reps at QB everyday, so which is it? Note that was well after the ND game. I sometimes wonder whether we are being fed misinformation or not. I am beginning to put much less faith in what I hear from Hoke's pressers. |

Is Devin Gardner still taking reps at quarterback? |
| 29 weeks 1 day ago | It's exactly this that bugs me |
"We're building a long-term program here, not something that should work best for just this year's personnel." If that's the case, then let's all quit pretending that the team's goal this year is truly to win the Big 10 championship. The coaching staff preaches repeatedly about not looking beyond the next game, yet we are all talking about building for next year etc. To think that we are going to win the Big 10 while not doing something that does work best with this year's personnel is ludicrous |
| 29 weeks 1 day ago | What is the primary goal for this team? |
If as Hoke always emphasizes, the primary goal is the Big 10 championship, my fundamental beef with Borges is that his goal seems to be installing the offense of the future with a group of personnel that can't operate it. In order to win the Big 10, Borges needs to be running an offense that makes the best use of the personnel that he has. Square peg round hole redux I know, but Borges actions simply don't seem to support the stated goals of the head coach. Either Hoke needs to revise his goal to "win the Big 10 some year down the road when our system is in place with players we have recruited" or Borges needs to get on board with Hoke and play the cards he has been dealt. |

When the leader of the offense sits in the fucking press box all game what the hell do you expect. Leadership starts at the top. |

| 32 weeks 2 days ago | Nebraska will lose again |
Even though it would benefit us, I would much rather see Nebraska win. The sooner Ohio's perfect season is busted up the better as far as I'm concerned. |

Just as long as we don't forfeit |

Hell, since none of were alive when the pyramids were built, lets knock those down! Great Wall of China, that too! Hell why not the Washington monument, I wasn't alive when that was built either. I spent 4 years as a Navy ROTC marching on Ferry Field, shame to see it go like this. |

Nope, wasn't me. I was sitting well past the finish line yesterday, not a likely TV target. I'll have to keep my eye out for the other guy. I have yet to see any Michigan gear on dispay here. |

I never played organized football, only pickup and intramural flag football while at UM. Most relevant football experience was the time I spent working in the equipment room for Jon Falk which was priceless. Edit: Oh yeah and Pat Moons used to play for my intramural soccer team, so we had that going for us. |
| 1 year 25 weeks ago | ratings variance |
New here so be gentle please. Can someone please explain to me the difference in Brian's ratings of Denard (-12) & Fitz (+18) vs. Mathlete's Denard (+14) and Fitz (-3) ? Are they measuring two fundamentaly different things? Who should I trust? I tend to understand Brian's better. Thanks! |
