Probably because he's stubborn and holds to opinions past the point of insanity (like saying we shouldn't fire Hoke mere days before we fired him). And he can be condescending when someone disagrees with him. Other than stories and some technical Xs and Os, I don't find his contributions to be very good.
These are not attributes unique to him on the radio. They are attributes that you could say about many on the radio, so it's not just a "hater" mentality IMO. I just don't think he's very good. He's not the only one.

You're arguing against something I didn't say.
If the Nazi flag is a symbol of mass murder nad genocide, then the Confederate flag is a symbol of racism and slavery. You could say the Nazi flag was just a symbol of the Aryan way of life and policies of the party (not just the Aryan supremacy). That's essentially what you've said the Confederate flag stands for.
Some people fought on the Confederate side because they felt they were being oppressed by the Union. Absolutely. But when you boil it down to the bare bones, the war was fought because the Souther states wanted to preserve how they made their money - industries supported by slavery. An institution that killed millions of people (much like how the Nazi regime killed millions of people).
Doesn't mean that the South is significantly more racist than the North. The KKK originated and thrived in the MW, so we know that's not true.

It is a symbol of slavery and racism (under which masses of people died). What you've said is just window dressing.

Hull still needs to add several players if they want to stay up. They have absolutely no depth right now. Long season will see them slide down week by week if no quality players are brought in.

Three and Out and Blue Ice had too many misprints and typos as well. It is what it is. He's not John Steinbeck or the drafter of a law or something like that so I forgive him.

I agree. I think Biles will eventually be the greatest female gymnast of all time. But at this point in time, she has two medals, one of which is for the team (which she obviously played a big part in). She's won three straight all around gold medals at the World Championships, so I think we can all say she is the best gymnast right now. But she's gotta have at least one more Olympics to say she's the GOAT. But if she medals in all the individuals this year, with mostly golds then I think there's an argument for including her.

If we're talking dijon, honey, brown, spicy brown, stadium etc - mustard wins easily.

I think it's really hard to put someone on this list from a team sport (not counting beach volleyball or relays as a team sport) because Melo is really only on here because he'll be the most accomplished Olympic basketball player. He's only been in the top 10 in one statistical category (per game stats) for any of the Olympics he's participated in. I'd put KD in over him if you have to choose a bball player. He'll only have his second gold, but he's been a top 10 scorer both Olympics (assuming he continues to score at his current rate).
And I believe Sylvia Fowles has been on two previous gold medal teams and this would be the third. And she's been a bigger part of the women's success than Melo has been of the men's.

Our offense can function with Eastern guarding the 2/3 of the opponents and he can still be the man on the other end of the court. Nik and Caris (and Irvin after Walton/Caris went down in the 14/15 season) were essentially our PG even though they were the 2/3. Eastern could play alongside Brooks or X in the backcourt because their shooting is good enough for them to play off the ball IMO.

Xavier has already taken a few guys at his position in their class I believe, three I think. I believe each of their commits is a wing (which is where I assume where they'd play Cain).
|2 weeks 9 hours ago||I don't agree at all that||
I don't agree at all that Cain and Livers are similar. Only similarities I see are length and shooting ability. Livers is strictly a 4 and Cain is a 2/3 (I know the 3/4 function the same in our offense). Cain has much more handle and skill than LIvers, so I could see Cain with the ball in his hands, breaking guys down off the dribble. Not gonna happen with Livers. Livers also is always going to have 20-30 pounds on Cain in college as Cain is rail thin and I don't see him getting past 200 lb.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||And I will reiterate that||
And I will reiterate that it's about finding the right guys, not taking more guys. I think we just need a solid rotation of our top two guys and the third guy should only have to play if there's foul trouble (which is what has happened when we've had two solid guys).
If we get better guys, we don't have to wait on them to develop. They'll be better sooner and be able to contribute as that third C right away. Then you can spend your scholarships on the other four positions.

McGary/Horford situations are very rare. How many times do you have two unexpected departures from the same position? Not often. Just because it can happen doesn't mean we should plan for an extremely unlikely event. And even in that situation, we were gonna have four C on the roster had they both stayed. Doesn't meant Donnal/Doyle would have been better off waiting their turn. In fact, letting them develop probably just means you find out they're not great as juniors and seniors rather than as sophomores. It's about finding the right guys. Not taking up lots of space for one position in the hopes that they get to develop.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||It may be like OL but you're||
It may be like OL but you're not going to have 25+ (which would be about the same % as having four C taking up scholarships in the available 13) OL taking up scholarships every single year. That's insanity.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I don't think there's any way||
I don't think there's any way you can justify taking a C in this class. That'd be four centers within three recruiting classes. That's almost a third of our roster for one position on the floor. And these aren't guys that can play another position. Only way I would take a C in this class is if Wagner, Teske or Davis are not planning on being here next season. But we won't find that out until the spring and I think it's likely they all stay. Then you take a C in the 2018 class.
I think we should only really ever have 3 C on the roster. We only use one and we don't even need a really good one for the offense to function, just a suitable one. I think we should look at taking a different type of C than JB usually does, but I don't think we need one every class unless there's transition. Three in any four year stretch is good with me.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||You can't see it in the||
You can't see it in the highlights, but several people have stated he has good enough handle to move past guys on the closeout. Some of the people guarding him will be burly PF and I have no doubt he could easily glide past them. He's not going to break people down on the dribble in ISO or PnR, but he can definitely get past a guy like Caleb Swanigan or Nick Ward. Granted, there'd be a mismatch on the other end as well.
He's got a solid enough frame to add some weight. He's long as well. I think he can play a GR3 role for us. Probably won't finish as well around the rim, but he'll hit threes at a better clip and is a solid rebounder.
I understand some of the reservations. Other than shooting, he doesn't have an eye popping skill. But I think he's good enough at everything else that he'll be a solid contributor here. I think there's alot to be encouraged by with recruiting as of late. We've gone after more athletic guys than we have in the past and some with "good defender" in their scouting reports.

Still looks really good though.

Lost 10 pounds this summer. My workout consists of running around with kids in the summer program I help run. About an hour of tag/basketball/soccer every day. Changed my diet a bit too. Breakfast smoothie every weekday, salad for lunch. Weekends, I eat like shit though.
Went to Treetops for a three-day golf trip earlier this summer and actually lost weight, despite the large amounts of alcohol consumed over three days. But I gained most back when I visited my girlfriend's family in Iowa this past weekend. Her mom is just too good of a cook to eat small portions.
