I signed in just to down vote you. It's not you, it's me. I just feel the need to inflict pain on someone and you were there... With your puppies.

I so concur. I've probably refreshed the page at least 10 times already today waiting for the UFR to drop.

I got to agree. Wonder years was a favorite as it gave me a glimpse into my Dad's life. But before that I got to go A-Team. No team was more domiinant on TV.

I purchased the package with Kickstarter, and I've received the .pdf version, but as you know it is hard to read on Kindle often closing due to the size. If we purchased in the initial launch is it possible to get the Kindle version or would we need to repurchase through Amazon to do that?

I'm a stat nerd, so totally agree with your assessment above, that the initial blog is misleading. That said I've always held the position that this really just matters in basketball, and the stat I'm going to provide below is not misleading.
92% of all basketball shoes sold in the US are Nike!!!! 92%!!!!! That is why it matters. As a kid that only wore Nike until the day Michigan signed with Adidas it was a hard adjustment for me to make and I didn't have a possible shoe deal someday on the line. Kids want Nike in America, not Adidas like a soccer country. The study that needs to be done is to look at the loss revenue due to Adidas as our brand, for example I only have one pair of Michigan bball shoes since we signed with Adidas, and had every year's Nike shoe during the 90s.
Food for thought.

I agree with you. As a former basketball player you are right on, but I think the other sports aren't under attack (yet) and so that is why football was the greater point. I also think that coaching today babies kids. When we grew up noone was tracking water consumption (living in AZ I agree with this one) and energy breaks. They were pushing you until your point of breaking and then showing you, you could exceed what you thought was your previous limitation. I never had that happen in my time on a baseball field but I did in basketball and I know it is a stalwart of football as well as our Seal training.
On a personal note I just had a niece complete Basic and she said it was the toughest thing she ever did. Why? Because in all her highschool sports she had never been pushed past her perceived limits. I think football does that regularly and while some coaches in other sports may also, it is not as regular an occurence anymore. I am for teaching our kids there are hard things, they don't want to do, that they can accomplish so when they get to the hardest things in life they have past physical or mental trophies to remind them that they can Overcome.
Football is one way we still do that in our kids. There aren't many others left.

It appears the shorts have the Navy Wolverine logo on them, and I'm a big fan of that, just would like to used somewhere a little less loud then the odd two tone. That said, kids love the next thing, and if the kids enjoy them, I'm not going to be the old man yelling for the kids to get off the grass.

I hear you, and I flew out for last year's senior day from AZ just to honor Denard, and I feel the same about these Seniors. I think we definately need to do a sign for them. Good call.
All Gave Some, These Seniors Gave All.

If you have never had In-N-Out Burger, a family owned company out of CA, then you need to stop by. The menu is simple Hamburger w/ cheese or w/o, but the simplicity makes the place a favorite destination for a quick great burger, and the secret ways to order your burger make it a cult favorite..
Try a Double Double "Animal Style" w/ a fry and thank me later. See you at the game!

My buddy is an NBA shooting coach, and he has good friends in the Knick organization. He told me they aren't just a little excited, but VERY. They really like his shooting, quick release, and ability to put the ball on the court. Expectations have gone from, he could be a role player, to the next Jeremy Lin discovery for NY. They are bringing him along slow and allowing him to get used to the NBA, but especially with Carmello on the roster they think he is the perfect compliment and are plannng to see his minutes increase as the team gels.

Dileo looks awesome in these videos. His ability to get in and out of breaks I thought was best in class. Sad to say, but Jackson has been here all this time, and he looks more qualified to be the mascot.

I think there is something to playing a weak schedule so you are healthy to play in a bowl game. That is why I feel the Boise States of the world never have a justified reason to be in the BCS until they play in a real league. Playing one good team a year does not suffice.
|2 years 38 weeks ago||Great job||
Seth exceptional write-up that educated the readers. In fact I saved it to compare the team later in the year. This is the kind of writing that has been missing since football season and I think you answered the critics with this informative piece. Great job and I look forward to more.

I got to hear, Hoke's interview, but couldn't sit in the car for 2 more hours to hear the rest. Thank you for sharing!

I know the college station 91 on XM was on campus for 3 hours yesterday doing interviews. Was anyone able to record it, so we can share it with the rest of the blogsphere?

I either deleted or didn’t receive the Survey to complete for kickstart. So how can we fill the survey out without the email?
|3 years 27 weeks ago||Novak||
Novak to me is the only no brainer. He is what Mike Hart was to football on the basketball court. I liked Manny and at least I could say he won some must win games, and played well in others, but at the end of the day I feel you need to be the reason for your team's success, and Manny was just successful, and due to that at times his team was successful, but I never felt it was the other way around. The good news is with Beilien around we'll have more players to celebrate in years to come, but at this time, only 1 should get in.

Your copying my pic dude. Got seniority here.
|3 years 34 weeks ago||Where he at||
Other then that assist mentioned above he has been non-existent in this game. Really hard to tell his ball handling skills because he isn't the one running the point for Findlay. Looks like the 4th or 5th guy on a highschool team and they haven't looked for him once on the offensive end. Not sure how he is as highly rated as he is. Anyone know?

Had to ask the wife for her signin and password to facebook to vote myself. I'm with you, this facebook mumbo jumbo is just a passing phase worth a Billion dollars. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Exact way I voted too.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||Rivals vs. Scout||
I'm a Rivals guy also, so I appreciated you using those numbers, but the time honored debate is if one of the services is better than the other. It may be interesting to compare specifically the 3 categories that came out negligible - tackle, weakside d-end and outside linebacker and see if Scout is indeed better when it comes to evaluating the talent.
