It's moving day. Bought our first house and today we finally close/move-in. I'll need some pick-me-up pos-bangs if ya'll will!

I like staying within 4 touchdowns.

I remember reading years back while Carr was still coaching that the S&C methods utilized were a bit archaic, HIT-type methods if I recall. I don't have a real point, something interesting I remember.
I know many here don't like your analysis because of course data and numbers are missing but I think I'm of the opinion that our players aren't training in the best of their interests. I'm not sure the injury correlation is there but I wouldn't doubt it.
Also, I know many discredit this but could there be something to these new field-turfs aiding in injuries? Are injuries to the knees and ligaments elsewhere higher in number than say, a decade ago or two decades ago?

Love that all of the former athletes seem content with how shitty the football program has become. Sure basketball is at a nice high and hopefully remains that way but the backing of people who've helped create such a shitty football team baffles me.

This isn't surprising. Though it did take quite a while to figure out.

Not sure how to look this stuff up. Could it have been the Wisconsin game back in 2008? They were No. 9 coming into AA, though the rest of the country didn't realize just how bad we were yet, even after losing to Utah at home and badly against ND.

Probably don't need to slight the guy with the blogger/coach comment, it's a bit unnecessary, no? He doesn't need some nobody to stick up for him so.."That's all I've got to say about that".
Anyway, welcome. I do think you miss the purpose of this post. We know Sparty ended up beating Purdue and adjusting. They also have the athletes to beat them. But Purdue was able to, for some of the game, do things against the very good defense. No defense is perfect and are vulnerable in certain areas, so it's nice to see things that can beat the greatness that is the Sparty defense. We know how good Dantonio and Narduzzi are and how good they are at coaching up their athletes. This post didn't say otherwise nor is it naive that they don't know how to adjust.

The LT in theory is eligible BECAUSE the Z is off the line. IF the Z was on the line and didn't go in motion the LT would be ineligible i.e. "covered". Covered = Any receiver to the outside (sideline) of you on the line of scrimmage means you have to be OFF the LOS to become an eligible receiver.
I don't know what you mean with the X receiver but he's eligible because he's on the LOS without being covered, so yes, becasue he's the furthest out where it's impossible to be covered he is eligible. A tight end who plays near the lineman to be eligible must either be lined up OFF the LOS, hence them being staggered back from the LT often...OR he can be ON the LOS but the receivers outside of him must be off. All of the receivers to the outside of him while he's on the LOS must be slotted back and not on the LOS or he is covered.
It's a puzzle in a way. Let's do a team going 5-wide: they could never do all 5 on one side and all be eligible because issues with being covered or not having 7 on the LOS, so at least 1 receiver has to be on the other side of the LOS to put himself ON the LOS to get to 7. This may be obvious but that's why you'll never see it, not because it's silly and no mad man would ever dream of doing so. 4 receivers on one side means:
From furthest reciever to inner-most, here are your alignment possibilites: On Off Off Off...Off On Off Off...Off Off On Off...Off Off Off On...the single receiver on the other side must be ON the LOS.

|3 days 12 hours ago||Yea I get that they weren't||
Yea I get that they weren't the teams with the best records but again, the Giants don't have to prove anything (2 Titles in 4 years) and the Royals have THEE best record in baseball since the AS break. I just feel like these teams are majorly under-appreciated. It's not like the NBA where 8 teams make the playoffs. Again, if they're not LA or Boston, they're "lowly" teams who just got hot. In reality, they're just really good. They're a few games off the leaders over 162 games, are we really disputing they can't be considered the best?
*I don't direct all of this at you, just more of my opinions in general on the teams.

Would like to see the Royals in 7 on a miraculous last play but in reality it'll likely be Giants in 5 or 6.
I don't understand how people don't like this series and argue these aren't the two best teams. Who SHOULD be in this game then?? The fucking Dodgers or Nationals and...the teams the Royals just rolled over? Umm, No Thanks. The Giants have proven how great a team they are over the past few years and this Royals team is just flat out brilliant. A good series to have. I'm a Braves fan, unfortunately.

|5 days 2 hours ago||Oop, announcers thought||
Oop, announcers thought so!...and the officials who I already opined on above thought so.
You stating the call was correct as a fact doesn't make it so. One guy jammed at the line and another MET with contact doesn't equate to a pick play in many people's mind. Hell, Golson could have thrown a pass to one of those receivers and it could have been PI, the defenders aided in the contact at the very least and didn't even attempt to go after the true receiver.
Again, we won't be changing each other's/anyone's opinion on the matter.
|5 days 8 hours ago||Nobody gives a rats pooper||
Nobody gives a rats pooper about the "tradition" of this program right now and if you do it's blatant blindness regarding the progress that we're lacking and downward spiral we're enduring. The past few years have been baaaaaaaad. We aren't getting better and the recent history is what's more the issue as it's more indicative of the immediate future than ten years ago.

Ah, I missed that (likely amongst the odd FoxNews commentary.
|5 days 8 hours ago||It's such a polarizing call.||
It's such a polarizing call. Some think they got hosed, some think it the right call and have no beef. I personally am with the former though I know I'd never change anyone's mind who thinks the opposite. The refs called it and that's what counts, though my faith and trust in them has dwindled over the past few years, so I still disagree with them.
People say the FSU DBs were backpedaling but I see them stop that process and come meet the receivers and so I more or less feel it was just them botching the coverage. The players even seem to argue with one another after it was initially a touchdown (no, I don't think they were trying to argue with the official(s).)

|6 days 9 hours ago||I hear ya...mostly agree||
I hear ya...mostly agree especially in lieu of your second post. I think it just sort of happens to be a "fitting" word in terms of football team leadership. It's a mans game but like you state, too many correlate being of the "alpha-type" to being a true man; I'm on board with you. And so this generic way of stating a male is a vocal and visual leader is already a bit ingrained in our dumbass society and I just cant fault Herbie for just trying to quickly describe Jameis in the moment.
