In this thread, there's quite a few people that have no idea what they are talking about and have seriously bought in to the Samsung hype-machine. Get yourself a 4K TV with HVEC and HDMI 2.0 so you can adjust to the changing standards of 4K and I'd recommend an IPS panel. If you can afford it, the LG 4K OLED is by far the best looking TV available on the market ($7K). You might be able to find an LG OLED 55" for $2K. Reviewed as the best TV ever made. Most panels are made by LG, so getting an off-brand IPS panel TV is still going to be a good looking TV.
I'd argue subscription video on demand is where content is going and the 4K TVs will not only be able to handle the streaming of 4K content but be able to accurately up-convert anything not originally filmed in 4K. House of Cards is already filming in 6K, and Netflix as well as YouTube already have quite a bit of 4K content available. HVEC and HDMI 2.0 will give you a TV that will be as "future proof" as you can get in a 4K TV.
Arguable that HDR is the future. They are over-clocking current chipsets to reach that kind of performance and it's greatly reducing the lifespan. Until they can figure that part out, I'd definitely hold off and would never consider a first run version of those products.
It would ruin 50% of the narratives people are trying to write. I hope he's okay and is able to follow his dreams. I also hope he's been taking his education seriously as we know only a huge majority of athletes go pro in something other than sports.
You can find nice homes in Wixom, Commerce, Walled Lake and the Walled Lake Consolidated schools have been solid for a long time. A few minutes from Novi shopping, 35-40 minutes from Ann Arbor, same from Detroit. Quiet and many lakes to choose from. Lived in the area for 5 years. No Ragrets, not even one letter.
I have to disagree. Ann Arbor is nothing like any city in Kansas and comparing them is like comparing apples to submarines. Plus, in Ann Arbor, you're about 30 minutes from another country. That's got to be worth something extra as well.
Think of this donation as a discount on your PSD. I would be surprised if you didn't receive tickets this year, however if you didn't, you wouldn't owe any extra when you do finally get them. That's how I understand it. Good luck.
A man after my own heart. Picked up a bottle of Forgiven from Wild Turkey (a blend of bourbon and rye) for my birthday. It's really good and I found out tonight that rye is really underrated. +1 to your bourbon love and +1 to your rye mention.
P.S. - I'm drunk.
Go watch his ESPY speech, it'll fill you in. I couldn't help but think of his daughters after I heard the news. It always gets dusty or someone's always chopping onions whenever that speech plays.
Dare I suggest this to be part of the new banner? Love the jackhammer quote, but before this becomes part of the brand (tm), I think it could be a rallying cry.
It's a big place, but nowhere could I find someone who said this was going to happen, let alone Jay Glazer. I certainly hope it's true, but without a link, this kind of post is a little irresponsible. If he said this somewhere, at least include that in the post.
Since every comment is about Dez so far, who would you rather have on your favorite NFL team next year? Odell Beckham Jr. or Dez Bryant? Dez is so physical but Odell has impossibly amazing hands.
