Dee Hart hints strongly to Bama

"Decision still coming Friday after the game," Hart said via text Thursday about 12:30. "Real high on Alabama. Roll Tide."

Let's just hope is messing with our minds.

OK, you caught me.

It has been more than twenty years since my four years of Latin....so I'm sure that I've forgotten more than I remember.

Salve Victores might be even better.

Tough/Brave

Says it's risky for a QB to basically act like a RB, e.g. heading to the sideline and cutting back in, rather than acting like a QB and just stepping out or sliding. Says Denard is "tough" and "brave."

I'm not sure how to take that.  Respect.....or that he is going to get blasted by a corner, a safety, and two LBs in this game (AKA, veiled threat).

BTW, coach...that is if you can catch him.

I'm hoping for the latter.

I knew this would hurt

I knew this would hurt to read this week, but a kidney stone would have felt better.

Obi continues to get caught in the wash of the lines as he reads.  His pass drops are often opposite the eyes of the QB making the slant or post an easier throw than it needs to be in a cover 2.

And I'm not sure that Moundros would actually be worse.

Additional Info

Rivals rated his coverage awareness, hands, and instincts highly, but he needed to improve his closing speed.  He runs a 4.5 40 according to Yahoo! Sports.  Makes me wonder where he is on both these after a year at USC and now a JUCO year.

FWIW, he was originally a UCLA commit that changed his mind.

I'm mildly enthused by his interest at this point.

Lewan Penalty

Taylor Lewan penalty: "From what I see... his left foot got tangled up as he was stepping over a pile... I didn't see it on film, maybe they saw something I didn't see." The scrum afterward was no big deal, the officials broke it up.

You could see Lewan losing his cool several plays earlier than the play he got flagged.  He seemed to be jawing all the way back to the huddle with a defender.  This seemed to be an inevidable happening, and I hope he learns self-control before costing the offense a drive.
