As that third design wil undoubtedly be dubbed.
Sadly, the final design will likely look like "just another stadium." Atlanta is not a city known for daring architecture, especially when the public is footing part of the bill. |
| 3 weeks 2 days ago | I think you are incorrect... |
Also an Atlanta resident and I read/heard/saw plenty of opposition to spending $200 million on this stadium. I am not taking sides here, just saying that it's inaccurate to portray support as universal or even close to it. |
| 4 weeks 1 day ago | I agree |
I knew I'd seen that comparison before (see below). It really is a striking resemblence IMO. http://mgoblog.com/content/michigan-museday-playing-devins-advocate |

Somebody PLEASE put a trollface on Burke. I lack the skillz. |
| 16 weeks 5 days ago | This is fantastic.. |
I think we've seen quite a bit of the new strategy of attacking the validity of the patent vs. trying to win in the lopsided Eastern District of Texas federal courts. Hopefully lawmakers will consider an overhaul to the patent system in the near future, though given they can't even agree on major issues I'm not holding my breath. |

...why does a 20-something guy have a tramp stamp? |
| 22 weeks 2 days ago | Nexus 10 by a mile |
Better specs + Nexus=unfiltered Google experience. Screen is amazing, and has a great feel in your hands. Dev community will undoubtedly support the hell out of this thing as they have with all Nexus devices. And getting the latest updates to Android is a big deal. If you buy a tablet with a custom UI like Touchwiz or whatever Asus has you will have to wait months to get the latest Android. BTW love then when presented with two choices, a bunch of people on here have to say "iPad." Obviously, you've done the research and know what you want. |

Poor guy. Get well soon, Fitz.

| 29 weeks 3 days ago | Can't really see the new banners in the pics... |
but it seems like the new banners are just the old banners with updated logos/corporate fonts. Which is basically what your suggestions were. Kind of an obvious evolution of the banners. |

HMA (HideMyAss) VPN is great and relatively cheap (~$70 for a year or a little more monthly). Super easy setup since it's basically just a matter of installing their client software, and then you can pick from servers all over the place including major US and European cities. Also great for protecting your personal information when using wifi hotspots in coffee shops and other public places. |
| 39 weeks 1 day ago | You are spot on about Weinreb.. |
He grew up in State College and his articles about PSU since the scandal broke have been interesting, but he can't mask his disdain for the team that plowed over PSU for a decade, pantsed PSU at home in 1997, and kept his beloved JoePa from a potentially undefeated season in 2005. |
| 1 year 4 weeks ago | This is just a marketing ploy.. |
Maybe I'm not the first to sugegst this - I did not read through all the pages of comments - but I think Brandon is sandbagging us, folks. Wait until Absopure/Alro Steel/Dominos/Rotel or whatever other corporation swoops in to sponsor the band's trip to Dallas. They will be heroes and adored by the Michigan fan base. |
| 1 year 12 weeks ago | Hope it's Grantland |
I enjoyed Hinton's writing even if he was a closet Domer. I'll be thrilled if he displaces Weinreb as Grantland's resident CFB writer. Weinreb, who hails from State College, has been unreadable since PSU imploded in scandal. |

It could just be that the recruit called up Meyer, which is completely fine if I understand the recruiting rules correctly (and I may not - who does?). |

But I couldn't help notice the dong-ish diagram on the whiteboard behind Cazzie.
I'm really sorry I just used Cazzie's name in the same sentence as "dong." /nohomo |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | Because.. |
Like others have said he's a good coach and he's available. Not only that, there is a dearth of big name coaches who are free agents right now. Urban Meyer, Rich Rodriguez and who else?? After reading Three and Out, I have a lot of respect for Rodriguez. He was not the right coach for Michigan for various reasons--some his doing and some not his doing--but he has won everywhere else he's been. |

...is in Belgium in that pic, not Sweden. The flag behind him is the flag of West Flanders (diddly-iddly) and also the license plate on that car in the pic has a "B" on it. I also realize that this is completely useless information. |

It's about the only thing that gets me through Mondays. Got to go with ND as the upset of the week - USF is going to give them fits. Oregon-LSU? Nah, no shame in losing that one. The Tears of Unfathomable Sadness are reserved for the contender who just had their season derailed by an FCS team. Not that us Michigan fans know what that's like...uh |

The guy is in his 50s, not a founding member of the Fab Five. How much longer do they need to be?
|
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | Tony Posada - IF it's true |
He came in way out of shape and based on the recruiting rankings he knows he's not likely to see the field if this class holds up. Still a position we don't have much depth at, again IF this rumor is true. |
| 1 year 39 weeks ago | Playing into those stereotypes... |
Leave it to the foremost Michigan blog to have one contributor who is an MD/PhD candidate and another who goes by the handle "Mathlete." This merits five NERDs on a scale of five. But yeah, we are a smart bunch.

| 1 year 39 weeks ago | DiNardo |
I don't particularly like this guy - def a mediocre coach - but in the last three season previews he's said- 2008: this team will be bad. 2009: better O but still a bad D; Denard is better than Tate; 2010: Good O, but D still bad. Now what part of those assessments was incorrect? |
| 1 year 40 weeks ago | Congrats |
As a loyal MGoBlog reader and frequent lurker on the Rivals.com Michigan message board (The Fort), Tim has big shoes to fill but he's going to be great at it. The other part of the post on Rivals was that TomVH is headed to work with Rittenberg @ ESPN. Big losses for MGoBlog. |

Given Brandon's purge of the "Split M" from all Michigan branding, don't look for that to return to the back of the scoreboard. More likely it will just be painted with a huge, maize Block M. Works for me. |
| 1 year 42 weeks ago | Petanque |
I'm totally being "that guy" but if you were in France, chances are they were playing Petanque and not Bocce. Welcome back!

Kesha and anything known as "crossover country." Ack. Kesha is terrible. I will give Gaga props for having created an aura around her. Kesha has no talent, no looks and terrible songs. |
