This is why I dont post much…

This is why I dont post much. Did once and got lit up and dont have the will to post just to post.

I've been around longer with this version of this site from....looks at creation date for account...from the beginning ?

This is me exactly.  I…

This is me.  I stopped caring about all american sports except for UM sports.

Detroit pro sports has been pretty down the last half decade and even longer if you are a Lions fan and so I havent missed any of it.

It generally only takes the first game of the Lions season for me to see it is the same old shit. Lose yo rookie starting qb in darnold with jets, next year tiw thw cardinals and their rookie qb and than thr Bears game this year.  Fark that.

I like EPL because it is commercial free. I have learned to appreciate the game over the last 8 years. FM12 was my first year really watching the EPL.

If you got to this point in my post. Thanks for reading it!

If Michigan actually plays I will watch them but no one else.

How many of that 30 million…

Triple pos .

How many of that 30 million…

How many of that 30 million have been tested multiple times?

How many of that 30 million…

How many of that 30 million have been tested multiple times?

Instant pot + half ouce weed…

Instant pot + half ouce weed + coconut oil + sunflower lethicin + mason jar + cheese cloth = 1 cup of pure happiness ?

My love of soccer has been…

My love of soccer has been ongoing since 2011 and has grown more as the years go on.  One aspect that turned me towards soccer is the fact the game ends generally around 2:15 hours total. No 4 hour games with countless commercials ?

Chelsea has been my team since 2011 (thanks football manager). The colors and they say 'The Blues' which fits in well with all things that as a Michigan fan i can live with secondary to all things any shade of red ?  I like Wolverhampton but they went straight away and so they became my 2nd team.

What Liverpool managed to do the last 2 years has been amazing.

Great win today.  Go Chelsea!

I used to do Sam Webb''s…

I used to do Sam Webb''s transcription back a few years ago. My experience is that people are not reliable enough to do what you are asking and it would take a ton of coordination to make this work.

Problem is quality of the audio can really make you bang your head when trying to get out quality work.

We should keep the biggest…

We should keep the biggest failures from this past WC cycle from having anything to do with the next cycle.  Bradley is definitely in that group, along with Altidore, Guzan, etc.  The only leadership those guys can show the next generation is how to choke away a WC spot.

And I should for my poor…

And I should for my poor grammar and inability to edit LOL

I'll probably will get neg…

I'll probably will get neg bombed for this, but I'M WINNING!!!!

I logged in once to post in…

I logged in once to post in a comment 10 years ago, got neg bombed and have been a lurker every since!

Top 4 Top 4 and win FA Cup is different expectat ions than what they have striver for the past 20 years with wenger (okay 15 years lol).

They'll be fine

They'll be fine.  Got some new players finding their place on the team.

I live in Owensboro

So I went to buy my new flat screen at Best Buy and the guy who sold it to me saw my MIchigan gear and said his brother was being recruited by Michigan.

He was very excited about Michigan being on him.

I should make it to a game or 3 this year.

Owensboro is a great sports town.  They turn out some good athletes that have made their mark in the NFL and NBA.

I would say after UK and U of L that Michigan is the next most frequent school that you see people wearing gear from.

My banker and his wife are huge Michigan fans.  I can never go to the store without seeing one other person in Michigan gear.

Amph

Would be correct.

At the time he dropped, a couple UM players moved up on Scout too.  I believe it was a net gain for us the last ranking update.

Pelini

would take the job in a second and probably would come before Dantonio.

OSU is Pelini's dream job like Hoke's was Michigan.

If only you had posted this...

a week ago.  I would still be going.

Thanks for nothing..:)

I did get a 60 inch LG out of not going because the wife felt sorry for me.

Thompson

Should go to Indiana and team up with Kiel and see if they can put some life into that program and be a proper cross division rival for MSU.

As someone who has

had 3 throat surgeries for cancer at Vanderbilt, I just want to say that it is an awesome hospital.

Out of weeks spent there in my recovery I can honestly say everyone from the doctors to people who brought in the meals to housekeepers and nurses, they were all nice.

I do medical transcription and deal with doctors and all other medical personal all the time (not at Vanderbilt) and there is no place I would rather be than Vanderbilt to get my surgery done.

If you got neck or throat problems, I highly, HIGHLY recommend Dr. James Netterville, amazing surgeon, but he is even a more amazing person.   The best bedside manners of any doctor I have ever known and I have known 100s of doctors due to my job.

Sorry to preach but Vanderbilt has a special place in my heart.

I will see him in person

On September 23rd when they visit Owensboro and play at Rash Stadium.

Same as here and everywhere

Artermis.

It has been a while since I hung out over there.  I liked them for the most part but I lost interest in Piston basketball 5 or so years ago.

And the fighting gets kind of old.

What is your nickname

at WTFDetroit.

I used to hang around there when the people at the Scout.com pistons board became dead and a member (name long forgotten) got me to come over to that board.

Pelini

I truly believe he will be the head coach.  He would leave Nebraska in a minute for OSU.  OSU is to him what UM was to Hoke.

He is an Ohio guy through and through and people will compare him to Woody with his intensity and such.

I believe the rule states

That if you graduate from a school and they do not offer the post graduate work you looking to get into then you may transfer to another school without having to sit out.

I suspect his wife

Will have something to say about the move.

I have a hard time imaging her going from Seton Hall to a better school academic school in Michigan to a better academic school Harvard to a cesspool of an academic school like Miami.  (This is all my opinion with regards to which school is academically better than which school).

I know I have typed something with Jimmy King

and Jalen Rose where they gave Illinois credit or something to that affect.   They never claimed they invented it.  They just popularized it.

Big difference between the 2.

I just looked it up in an interview:

Question:  Kendall Gill says on the Big Ten Network all the time that they were the ones that started it, not the Fab 5.

Jimmy King:  "They were.  We made it popular, but they were the ones."

Went on to say UNLV and Illinois were the first.

So they can all suck it.

Assistant coaches

It is wonderful that Beilein has assistant coaches he trusts completely and they get the job done.  Beilein did a masterful job in hiring this current bunch of assistants and adding in some ex players back from the day when the program was a high has really paid off too.

Need to learn to proofread

meant more than 1 back could play per season.

Fred Jackson

Blah.

When was the last time we had a good stable of backs that more than 1 could per season.

His son (Fred Jackson Jr) does coach Thomas Rawls at Flint Northern and has some other solid players that will be available inthe next few years.

Fred Jackson Sr, great interview, not great RB coach.

BTW his son interviews as good as his father...very open.

RicK Leach

Had that sit down lunch with the some people last year and they worked out that Rick would back off going after Carr.

I would have to go back and look at the interviews transcribed for B. Kearney, but I believe he is related to Stan, maybe cousins or something like that.

So maybe Stan knows something the rest of us do not, but if Sam doesn't know about it I don't know if anybody would in the recruiting service.

If RR is still coach

expect him to put 60+ on him.

He does get caught...

....but not until after he has left the school and moved on.   So of course, the school and kids he left behind get the brunt of it and he moves on to bigger and better.

Arnett definitely at game

I transcribed Sam talking to Arnett at UM after the game.

FSU credits

They all wouldn't transfer to UM.

This may be the reason he is not comnig to UM.

Looking back to 2002

There was only 2 times that Michigan and OSU could have even had a chance to play a second time.  Both times that it could have happened the 2nd place team was tied with someone else.   2002 OSU and Iowa both 8-0.  2003 Michigan is 7-1 and OSU and Purdue are 6-2.  2003 Iowa and Michigan tied at 7-1.  2005 PSU and OSU tied at 7-1.  2006 OSU 8-0 and UM and UW 7-1.  2007 OSU 7-1 and Illinois and UM tied at 6-2.  2008 OSU and PSU 7-1.  2009 OSU 7-1 and PSU and Iowa 6-2.

So 2 times since 2002.  My question is playing the last game of the regular season worth enough to say that if the losing team is tied in their division with another team that the other team would automatically win the tie breaker and in the case of a three way tie Michigan/OSU would be out and the other 2 teams would be the only 2 teams in the tie breaker.

Thus the only way that there could be a rematch is if each team won their divisions within the conference outright.

Or

Would playing earlier in the season and still having another chance at beating OSU by winning a tie-breaker in their division be worth not playing the last game of the season but changing that game to a PSU/NEB game and moving the UM/OSU game to the last Saturaday in say October?

I have found...

...those that live in OSU have much more hate for OSU and those in Michigan hate MSU more.

Really which school's fans you have to deal with the most.

I live in more ND land now more than any other school in general, but I grew up in Michigan and while I hate OSU at least they have won enough to earn some grudging respect.  MSU gets to a bowl game a few years in a row and it is like they won 3-4 NC along the way.

I am sure this is not groundbreaking research but just a general feel I get from being on the GBW board for many a years now.

As far as UM vs MSU stadium....only one has a nickname that any average sport's fan would know what school plays their games there....THE BIG HOUSE!!!

Just think if

Rutgers, ND, Texas and Syracuse join you could put Rutgers and Syracuse into the east side and ND and Texas into the west side and it would balance things out pretty nicely.

Coaches should be held accountable

Same as the schools.

I think coaches who leave the school before sanctions are hit should be given 3 years off and if they bolt to the NFL they should be given 5 years from being able to coach an NCAA school.

After the third time you should get a life time ban.

You want the sports to clean themselves, scare the shit out of coaches when dealing with their livelihood.  Coach Calipri would have 2 strikes and a 3rd would give him a lifetime ban.

This would stop schools from hiring these scumbag coaches, i.e. Indiana and Sampson or Kentucky.

There is one little exception, if the coach and school decide to stay together you just give them a 3 year post season ban and scholarship losses and maybe the coach cannot coach off campus or something.

Just my 2 cents.

I am just along for the ride

and enjoying the heck out of the twists and turns of this whole thing.

This plus the USC sanctions really help takt the mind off of our own problems at UM for the time being.

So really sit back and hopefully watch Jim Delany weave his magic.   So much rumor and inneudo going on.  I am really loving it.

BTN makes...

Most of its money off of advertising.  That is where the faithful fans of the Big Ten schools far outclass their PAC10 brethren.   Plus the fact that the Big Ten schools are tops in alumni.

Texas makes 20 million by themselves is nothing to sneeze at but still going to be under what the Big Ten offers.

On top of more money, they get the prestige of being in a great academic conference.

Plus they do not have to worry about losing as many top kids to those darn cold schools up north.  While the sunny beaches in California could be a nice place to go to school at.

I think your math is a little fuzzy with regards to how many schools they will play in the PST zone.  They have the 1-2 against the opposite division plus Arizona and Arizona State, which brings the total up to 3-4 per year.  Plus you got to look at the other sports other than just football.

A 7 PST bball games means they leave the arena around 11-12 PST, get on plane and get home anywhere from 5-7 a.m. CST, possibly even later.  Plus ESPN likes to put the West Coast games on later than that say 8-9 PST and then you are talking some real time difference.  At the same time, a 7 pm est game, they leave 11-12 est and get home 2-3 CST, which in the grand schme of things may not seem like a lot, but if you got an early class the next day 4-5 hours of sleep beats none or half ass sleep on a plane.

If Texas Tech has to be included in this deal, it might be a deal breaker for Big 10 anyways.   I dont even know if the PAC10 would want Tech.  I mean PAC10 has pretty darn good academics too.

If I was the Big Ten I would go after texas, Texas A&M, Missouri, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.  You add all of Texas, Nashville, Atlanta, St. Louis/Kansas City.  That more than makes up for not bringing in Rutgers, which I could give 2 shits about or Syracuse.

200 miles?

I looked it up and it looks to be around 100 miles difference and does it really  matter if you are not in driving distance to either in the first place?

Most teams fly and outside of the Big 12 schools that texas would supposedly take with them, they would have to fly to every other PAC 10 school.

On top of that you got a 2 hour time difference for all the PAC10 teams other than those you bringing.  It is easier for Texas to deal with a school 1 hour in front than 2 hours behind.

This will come down to money and Texas has to decide do they want a deal in place or have to fight to get a deal in place anywhere near as good as the BTN.

Also the simple fact is that the fans of the Big 10 are what carry the BTN.  They are AVID AVID fans that push up the revenue for adversitising.  I just do not see the PAC 10 being able to pull the ad revenue that the BTN does.

That word

was in some huge news story over its usage a few years ago.  I see it in books all the time.

Some people cannot

Take a little tongue in cheek.

Oh well onward and upward.

I hope Sam has big things

in his future in terms of journalism.   I need the work.....LMAO

I was sucked in by this...

then you lost me at ESPN.

I try really, really hard not to go to their website or their channels on TV.

I am glad the NBA is on ESPN because I don't want the NBA and it takes up a lot of their programming slots for a sport that I might give a damn about.

Doug Collins

LMAO.

The NBA really need to come up with some fresh coaches.  I think Dougie boy is showing his mesh on his steel belted radials.

Tony Drake

What does he count as?
