The LA Rams were the only NFL The LA Rams were the only NFL team I ever cared about. Could not care less about their return. The NFL makes the NCAA seem likable.
Dee Hart

Mine was Dee Hart. I took no joy in seeing his career (or knees) implode in Tuscaloosa, but his failed recruitment it was a turning point for me.

The last place I expected to The last place I expected to see a Propagandhi post. Well done.
Agreed

This place, dare I say it, is at its best when it's at its most Michigan. That is, thoughtful, well-reasoned discussion with a dash of  salt. It is completely unlike other sports forums and that's something to be valued. Save the trashy, misogynist avatars for NFL forums--if they exist.

Oh, yeah, and GET OFF MY LAWN.

I believe this. I was a GSI I believe this. I was a GSI then and had Kelly in one of my sections. Always impressed that Kirk sent her to Michigan.
I'd like to note my approval

I'd like to note my approval for this post and all postings confirming Harbaugh's homecoming.

That is the only correct

Yes is the only correct answer.

Good Raiders games at the Rose Bowl were kind of terrifying. Even if you were nominally a Raiders fan the sheer amount of thugs and gangsters in that stadium was enough to make anyone sane person a bit uncomfortable.
I get this and appreciate

I get this and appreciate he's probably a much better coach than what we saw on the field this year. But you can't argue with the results. Perhaps it was Hoke setting the parameters that prevented Nuss' offense from developing or re-tuning during the season, but I'm not sure that's a gamble JH would want to take. Further, Nuss was seemingly pushed out of Alabama after a pretty successful stint there. Clearly Saban thought his offense could due better with someone else at the helm. Unless it was just a personality clash, I suspect that Saban saw issues with the offense under Nuss and thought he could find someone to do it better.

The argument for continuity is solid though. Either way, I'd hope we have a far more dynamic, adaptive offense next year. Our team had nothing on that side of the ball and it can't all be attributed to Gardner.

Well that's something. Come

Well that's something. Come on friends and family, bring Jim home!

Funny. Yesterday he was on DC

Funny. Yesterday he was on DC espn radio (i.e., before news of the offer broke) and he said (paraphrasing) that whereas he hadn't given any credence to JH goin to UM earlier, he now wasn't ready to dismiss it as a possibility.

That was progress. This is a regression. I increasingly want Harbaugh to Michigan to happen almost as much to rub it in the NFL's face as I do for the obvious. The reporting by Schefter and his NFL beat comrades is getting beyond obnoxious.

Ditto. Exactly my experience. Ditto. Exactly my experience.
The world needs some good news

Let HARBAUGH TO MICHIGAN be it, please.

IT'S HAPPENING IT'S HAPPENING
Give this Bama fan some

Give this Bama fan some karma!

Let's hope it's true.

So the Fister trade was...

So the Fister trade was... not very successful afterall. Unless Shane Greene turns out to be a stud. I know nothing about him, but Ray was a solid prospect at least.

Come on guys. This all

DOUBLE POST. Thanks CC traffic.

Come on guys. This all

Come on guys. This all relative. Of course it doesn't rain in Corvalis every minute of everyday all year long. But compared to Nebraska, or Colorado, or SoCal, or NorCal, or Wyoming, or Michigan, Corvalis like much of Oregon's I-5 corridor can be fairly and accurately described as rainy from late fall through first half of spring. Wasn't saying it's a bad place. It's a great town. Even if the winds from Albany aren't always that pleasant.

Wow That's a surprise. Riley had opportunities to skip town for USC but stayed, content with life in rainy Corvalis. Maybe he thought OSU would want to make a change given another disappointing season. Either way, good coach. Not a threat.
I wasn't happy to see RR go.

I wasn't happy to see RR go. I feel the same about Hoke. No question he's a great guy and coached his heart out. Part of being a successful leader is strength of will--something Hoke excelled at. Another part is adaptation. Something Hoke seems to have struggled with.

I wish it had worked out differently.

I also hope all the best for him and his family. They're part of the Michigan family and I'll root for him wherever he lands. I wouldn't be surprised to see him bounce back like RR. He--and the university--will hopefully learn much from this experience.

Opportunities like this come

Opportunities like this don't come around often. Still feel like a douche though. Low hanging fruit...

Way to drag things out. Now I Way to drag things out. Now I know how the folks in Ferguson felt waiting for the indictment. Actually I still don't know how they feel, but I digress. WTF LET'S DO THIS
Seems to confirm the info Seems to confirm the info Schefter has. The winds are blowing away from JH. Hello Schiano?
I feel the same way. We I feel the same way. We clearly need a change, but it's tough to see a good guy fail. I felt the same about RR.
By ignoring college football By ignoring college football this season, or at least forgoing watching most of the games.
"Are you saying that Jesus "Are you saying that Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?"
As a Nats fan, Lombo is As a Nats fan, Lombo is missed. But it's been great to see him do so well with the O's.
Meanwhile, Lombardozzi is Meanwhile, Lombardozzi is tearing it up in Baltimore. I really thought Lombo was a solid part of the Fister deal, now that deal makes even less sense.
With the amount of money in With the amount of money in baseball today it's doubtful a top player will ever play the number of years needed to reach Rose's feat. The player's lack the financial incentive (they'll already be filthy rich well before that) and the owners will be more reluctant to keep players many years past their prime (obvious current exceptions aside). At least that's my thinking.

Say what you will about Kirk,

Say what you will about Kirk, but just remember that he sent his daughter to Michigan to get an education. I had her in my class as a GSI, and she was an excellent student, who always took responsibility for herself and never made an excuse. I gained a lot of respect for Kirk after getting to know his kid.

Narduzzi should be able to do Narduzzi should be able to do a lot better than UCONN.
I don't think it actually is I don't think it actually is that bad. MSU OSU, Wisconsin were all good teams. Iowa, Penn St, Minn were also solid. We were good at times, crap at others.
Every team in the B10 has Every team in the B10 has their Super Bowl against us.
He deserves it. As much as it He deserves it. As much as it pains me, MSU has turned into a very impressive program. Their string of wins against us have not been a fluke.
I suspect his average will go I suspect his average will go up 20-30 points with regular at bats. He'll be a solid everyday guy at some point in his career. He won't make all star teams, but like Kovacs and all white receivers, he's a gritty, blue collar kind of player. Not showing off but not falling behind.
As fan of both the Tigers and As fan of both the Tigers and Nats, I think this is an excellent deal for both sides. The Tigers are getting excellent prospects. Lombardozzi has been a very reliable utility man for the Nats. He's an excellent infielder, solid outfielder, and a solid hitter (not much power though). He's a fan favorite and will be missed in Washington. He was one of my favorites as well and the player I rooted for the most. My family is already bummed he's leaving.

Krol was excellent after his call up last year but faded toward the end of the season. He should be a solid LR.

Ray is suppose to be a very promising prospect. There's been a lot of buzz about him over the last year. I suspect he'll be the big win of the haul for Detroit.
Finally. Let there be life! Finally. Let there be life!
I dig it. I dig it.
+1 and warm fuzzies to Brian +1 and warm fuzzies to Brian and all the Mgo contributors. Tough season. Time heals all wounds. This is still the best fan site for any team, college or professional.
I checked out his timeline. I checked out his timeline. Dude suffers some serious trolls. Worst side of sports fans on full display. Surprised he's not just blocking these yahoos.
Gardener's stat line is Gardener's stat line is surprising considering how anemic the offense was for 3/4 of the season. Proud of all these guys for fighting till the end. Hopefully in carries over into the bowl game.
Finally, a win. This must be Finally, a win. This must be a Thanksgivukkah miracle!
Yup. That fumble made it Yup. That fumble made it definitely feel like thanksgiving. #Lions.
Difference is there is a Difference is there is a strong likelihood that Florida's AD will make a change because of this. Florida will always have a recruiting advantage over UM and will be able to move on without too much pain.

I have no hope Brandon or Hoke are willing to take action or even cognizant of what needs to change.
That's only a little worse. That's only a little worse.
Our offense is so epically Our offense is so epically incompetent at that this point that it's difficult to even be upset about it anymore.
THIS. THIS.
Sure feels like it. I still Sure feels like it. I still really like Hoke, but our offensive approach is inexcusable at this point.
The list looks good to me. The list looks good to me. Thanks for compiling it. Also, since this is a Michigan site, it bears mentioning that nonetheless is one word.
