as someone living in OKC, with lots of friends that want to bring me along to these games, I'm all for keeping them.

I remember the commentators…

I remember the commentators talking about Mike Hart having like ONE career fumble before the Cap1 bowl vs Florida.  Then he had two.  In his final game.  Obviously it didn't matter, Hart ran all over their NFL DL.  And Chad, Mario, and Adrian FEASTED through the air.

Thanks Brian.  These Signgate posts are the best.
The MGoBlog staff is the best in the universe.

This blog has taught me so…

This blog has taught me so much more about football than I thought was possible. This site (and Maizenbrew) got me through multiple dark times as a fan (and I've blocked almost every other Michigan fan site).  I am eternally grateful to Brian and the incredible staff and the mods for running the best sports site on the internet.  You guys are the greatest.

I really enjoy reading these every week. The additional snark this week took it to the next level for me though.

It was like you were winning arguments with the people on the internet I find most annoying.

Great work.

"Running Mad"

Made me fondly remember Brandon Minor.  He had some heroic moments in dark times.

That same Iowa game with us…

That same Iowa game with us trying to score in the red zone at the end...every single one of our final 4 attempts to score featured blatant uncalled pass interference or holding on Iowa.

As someone who grew up in…

As someone who grew up in Cincinnati, there are almost as many ND fans as tOSU fans.  So I was defending my Wolverine obsession every day against multiple fronts.  I would like to thank those Irish and Buckeye fans for forging my UM fandom in fire.  Go Blue!  To hell with the Irish.  (this was also weird for me because of my mostly Irish heritage lol)

I appreciate these threads

I've been lucky, all three of the games so far have aired on AFN, so I have been able to watch.  I am in Afghanistan right now on what will hopefully be my last deployment before I retire.  Last summer I got to meet AFA DT Santo Coppola during his summer trip to the base I am stationed at.  I spoke with him mostly about his future career as a commissioned officer and leader, but I has to talk college football with him as well.  We talked about the upcoming Michigan game as well, and I just got done talking to him again.  Great young man.

good thread idea

Georgia or Tennnessseee

Virginia or North Carolina

Cal or Stanford

I at stationed in OKC

A lot of my friends joyfully included me as a Sooner fan this week.  I didn't really have any reason to deny them.  Even the OK State Cowboy fans in the area that hate the Sooners were mostly rooting against the Buckeyes because it is the thing that decent human beings do.  That is what I encouraged them to do.

Gonna stay up to watch

The game is on at midnight where I am but I'm gonna stay up and watch it.  Just found out my Commander here is a Florida fan but there hasn't been any smack talk.  He's a great guy.  I'm not headed home until Halloween but I should be able to watch most of the games...especially the noon games.  The night games I'll catch on Sunday mornings.

good stuff

Happy to see the result

easy

I root against the buckeyes...but also, my wife is a Wisconsin fan.  Wisconsin are not our rivals.  Wisconsin is a conference game.

yeah: My wife and her family and friends

Yeah, none of them are saying ANYTHING...it's weird...the loud ones were talking crap to me about Michigan, pre-season, but radio silence lately.  I only  talk CFB with a few of my friends...the ones that I know I can have rational dialogue with after years of experience.  OH, and you guys too...and Maize n Brew...and Magnus.  Have a great weekend y'all!

yes

I was stationed at Robins from '05 to '12.  (programmer in JSTARS)

I'm in OKC now, but that Cuban restaurant is the bomb.  We go there everytime we visit the WR area!  (My family is in ATL)

great freshmen

Captain America and Dr. McDooom.

thank you I'm sharing this pic

Look at me...this is my meme now

I was pretty young...

1984 (!)

I was four, I remember watching the games with my Dad...we were so upset when Jim Harbaugh broke his arm in the MSU game...that is one of the only things that really stick out in my memory...that and how close we played National Champions BYU.  The next year I was hooked.  Jim Harbaugh was my hero when I was five.  '85 was a great season.  I followed him for a little bit in the NFL but I wasn't a big fan of his teams.  Watched almost every Michigan game I could though ever since I was four.

Interesting thing though, I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio defending my fandom against Buckeye and ND fans all the time.  I feel my love for U of M was FORGED IN FIRE.  We moved to Atlanta when I was older and it wasn't as bad.

yes

great mention

YES

I loved that one.  I was pleased with that whole film.

AAAAAND

the South Park cripple fight that is completely the same fight.

Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Following the highway/Agent Sitwell/Jesus take the wheel/Bridge...Winter Soldier vs. Black Widow and then Captain America hand to hand and knives fight.  LOVE that sequence!

This is great

All four of my kids even watched the games this time!

not for uniforms but...

I wear black tshirts (old military unit or heavy metal band) with dark green cargo pants when I want to wear whatever I want to wear with no situational pressure.  So black and dark green.
