I think 538 has had a few dings to its reputation lately. I wouldn't out too much stock into that one.

Not sure (I only visit W Michigan for work occasionally), but aren't there also as many ND fans as there are UM and MSU fans?

You could say that not calling holding (on their WR) on Samuels' scrambling run on 3rd down in 2OT was the bigger gift.

I saw that too. I like how he contradicted his excuse from a week or two prior (which was I haven't seen film on Michigan, so I don't know) to now - I'd seen them on film, but seeing them live is better. What the hell, dude. Make up your mind. Did you watch them on film or not?
I'd rather watch anyone who knows football and watches all the games comment on them before the dumbass people we're stuck with - Stanley Jackson, Gerry Dinardo, Marcus Ray? I'll admit, I do like Howard Griffith, though.

Agree with you point, with one caveat: MSU's performance against us was fueled by the rivalry. You have to take the rivalry and the emphasis MSU puts on that game into account when discussing our performance against MSU versus Wisky's performance against MSU.

Wasn't that Dinardo's stupid fucking sticking point for a while? We didn't have a clear-cut #1 tailback. That guy's a fucking moron too.

umm...but Urban Meyer went from Utah to Florida, which although poorly coached, was loaded with talent.
Jim Harbaugh decided to build a program at Stanford. Those two circumstances are much, much different.

EL might be a fairly safe place to be for a Michigan fan on 10/29.

Since he's getting paid, what I assume is a pretty good chunk of money, for his opinion, I assume his opinion is worth significantly more than yours or mine.

What about a starting rotation of (a rookie) Justin Verlander, Kenny Rogers, Nate Robertson, and Jeremy Bonderman?
I know that team didn't win the WS, but I think you understand what I'm getting at.

You're contradicting the OP.
What he said is that they're just jacking up the prices on the Michigan game, not combining them with other, less desirable games.
Which is it?

Okay, so let me get this straight. The editors are the Mark Emmert. Sharp and Albom are UNC and Syracuse (in no partiuclar order) and Riley is SMU?
Is that about right?

|30 weeks 3 days ago||My understanding is that the||
My understanding is that the computer itself wouldn't tell players where to go and what to do. The coach would use the app to signal in the play. This, in no way, removes any strategy and coaching out of the game. Why would you think it would? This doesn't do the coach's job. It's just a tool for communication from the coach to the player.
|30 weeks 3 days ago||Maybe I don't understand the||
Maybe I don't understand the idea behind the wristband after all, then. I thought it would be used to signal in the play, negating the need for the defensive players to huddle up? Since "the game is about communication", this is still a form of communication, right? Wouldn't this act as a reminder of those tendencies?
"There's not a great deal of fun if a wristband is telling guys on the field exactly where to line up...". Isn't that essentially what any play call does - tell the player where to line up for that particular play?
How does a wristband take away the fun of a coach making mad hand gestures or the fun of a grad assistant holding up a large poster with four different pictures on it? Those forms of communicating a play into the team must be really fun, right? I don't even know what the fuck you're talking about right now.
|30 weeks 3 days ago||I think the biggest benefit||
I think the biggest benefit would be during games. The exact scenario described in the article - OSU spreading you out and running temp. This would keep your defense from having to huddle up. Just sending the defensive play through the app would save time/energy. However, I'm sure this wouldn't be allowed in games yet. Not sure why, though.
