Much better than never beating said rival.

Oh, definitely. The Big Ten administration is CLEARLY trying to run Michigan out of the conference at the wishes of more profitable athletic squads from places like Rutgers, Purdue, and Northwestern.

I care if the Big Ten sucks because my cable provider gives me the Big Ten Network, not the PAC 12 or SEC networks. So if the Big Ten stinks, then I'm stuck watching this garbage for the next two months.
Or, more likely, I'll go outside and do something more enjoyable with my time.

Oh man, if the twentieth century ever comes knocking, we'll be good to go!

You got it, Coach. I set my alarm and I'll be up at 4:30 a.m. doing sprints to help my team win some games.

The new guy will be even better, as usual, and Ohio State will dominate, as usual.
I'm more concerned about the quarterback situations at Indiana, Rutgers, etc.

Yes, Michigan didn't have the size to hang with Wisconsin, in spite of beating Wisconsin in Madison a couple months ago.
And they have no chance at a Championship with this sort of lineup, as long as you ignore the fact that they had a second-half lead in the championship game one year ago with a similar sort of undersized lineup (freshman GRIII playing the 4...). Okay, fine, McGary is taller than Morgan.
Nice #hottake you have there

Put in a less trolling tone, I've also wondered why immediately prior to some sporting events is the correct time to express a few minutes of patriotism. For example, why is the national anthem performed before a college basketball game or a professional football game, but never some other public event such as a movie, concert, musical, etc., at least that I am aware of?
I'm not saying we shouldn't occassionally take a few minutes to be grateful for what we have in this country and to thank those who have sacrificied for it, nor do I think we should do away with the national anthem at sporting events... but what exactly makes the beginning of a game the ideal time for patriotism?

It's a nice shot, for sure, but I'd be wary of using the word "clutch" when describing anything that occurs in a March game between two .300 teams.

But how many NFL coaches care about cost-benefit analysis of fourth down strategy? Or even understand basic statistics?
I'm not sure that changing the values of touchdows by +/- 1 point will have much impact on fourth down strategy since that strategy is already overwhelmingly dictated by playing conservatively and following standard protocol rather than by any sort of EV calculations.

I think Harris and Marble will be challengers for POTY. I think a pretty equal case can be made for any of these three.
Harris has mostly single-handedly carried that heap of a team to a 2nd or 3rd place finish. Despite Izzo's annoying complaints about his team's injuries, they actually have had a lot of injuries and they've really had to lean on Harris.
And Marble has obviously been outstanding.
