Insane Zealotry will suggest to visitors that the site is heavily biased. I think Brian is level-headed about Michigan sports so I vote no on this proposed change.

Fair enough. I'm coming from a position where I don't keep track of individual posters here, and have heard many stories of people with different standards than I when it comes to violent actions against animals. I agree with you taking active measures to prevent violent dogs from harming anyone on your property. OTOH, I've heard firsthand accounts of neighbors threatening to shoot dogs or actually attacking dogs merely for coming onto their property even when the dog is very gentle and not a threat to anyone.
|6 years 16 weeks ago||Chasing can be violent and||
Chasing can be violent and should be a concern. That comment was in the context of knowing these dogs were violent -- if you tell me that a dog chased someone, I won't go ahead and call the dog violent.
The last dog I had (RIP) was a shih-tzu that would sometimes chase people because he wanted to be played with, not because he wanted to tear their throat out.
|6 years 16 weeks ago||There was no evidence in your||
There was no evidence in your posts that the dogs were not peaceful. As I said, feel free to go back and look at your first two posts and show me such evidence.
Your righteous indignation is bizarre at best.
|6 years 16 weeks ago||ffs, go back and read what||
ffs, go back and read what you wrote about the dogs prior to this post. Nowhere did you indicate that they terrorized the neighborhood or attacked people. You said you had a bad history with dogs, that these dogs came onto your property after you had told the owners you didn't want them to, and that they have chased people in the past (chasing is not necessarily a violent act)

I suspect there are laws about shooting peaceful dogs with your shotgun as well?
|6 years 18 weeks ago||what false dichotomy? either||
what false dichotomy? either Rich Rod THINKS the guy is better than the common perception, or he's an idiot that just offered a scrub a scholarship for a tight class with a bunch of WRs already on board. It's not a false dichotomy -- the obvious situation is the former. We can all debate whether or not RR's opinion is correct or not, that's the real issue.

McShay was quoted (in the Detnews I believe) saying Warren in the 2nd round. So 1st round is a respectable prognostication even if one disagrees with it.

Sure, Lloyd recruited plenty of players with completely clean criminal records.
|6 years 21 weeks ago||Dorsey was tried as an adult||
Dorsey was tried as an adult by a jury for armed robbery (felony) and found not guilty. That does not happen routinely.
Prosecutors dismissed the charge of burglary of a vacant residence. That is a felony and outright dismissal won't happen often either -- they'll get you to plead down, at least. If they have any evidence whatsoever of guilt.
He makes the claim that people are biased in favor of 16 year old football players when it comes to felony armed robbery, when in fact the only bias regarding football players is his own: Dorsey is a UM commit and was accused of a crime, therefore he is guilty, because it suits his sensationalistic desires. Where is Sharp's evidence, how does he know better than the jury?

Armed robbery went to trial and Dorsey was acquitted.

I thought it was a standard PC/PR-ish interview w/ McCoy. Nothing exceptional about it.
|6 years 26 weeks ago||Yeah I don't really||
Yeah I don't really understand what all we're supposed to be waiting for, Leach has admitted that James' story is substantially true. The facts aren't in dispute. Leach thinks his behavior according to those facts was just fine, James does not think it was okay, we can judge for ourselves given the facts stipulated to by both parties.
|6 years 26 weeks ago||heh. Leach's attorney was on||
heh. Leach's attorney was on ESPN yesterday and said that James was cleared to return to practice. The talking head followed up asking if that meant he was cleared to practice, asked if he was cleared to take contact and the attorney did a No, no, no, of course not! What the attorney meant by cleared to return to practice was 'cleared to stand on the sideline and watch practice'

I'll second this, basically. I can't speak to the new Red Hots though the old one was great; Brown Jug is the best place to drink IMO and additionally has the best combination of drink and food.
Their $3 Long Islands (after 9pm?) are particularly good

I had German with Zoltan and he's a smart guy. Contrast that to Boren, who told me that he was majoring in general studies so that he could avoid the foreign language requirement - lol.

I don't know about start, but I'd like to see Denard get more time. Tate has made a number of errant throws, fumbles, and bad sacks recently. Maybe it's the fault of the o-line. BUT, with Denard you have that constant threat of a huge play and I think the read-option could get many yards in chunks as well.

I think it's fair when you say you don't like him because he was a bad football player and you never heard anything good about him that you were implying that you heard hearsay about him that was bad regarding his personal character. Most people won't have personal animosity towards someone simply because they struggled on the football field.
