The nutty Michigan coverage isn't so much about Harbaugh as it is a signal to the Big Ten that Fox wants to party.

If these are the unis, then they contradict all of the branding verbage that we've been hearing so much about since RR was fired.
They make me think of raccoon skin coats, straw boater hats, the charleston, ukeleles and a pending stock market crash.
They do not reinforce all of the michigan man, tradition, he gets it, man ball, toughness, finger pointing and podium thumping talk we've had to listen too since January.
There is nothing Michigan about them other than color. The crackly 'M' and striping are faux design. We've been Disneyfied.

Try to say 'Coach Hoke' ten times fast...
I'll stand behind him when the season starts, but I'm still bitter. Hope + Excitement (along with massive frustration) are now being replaced by Stodgy + Expected (along with a limp future)
I keep thinking, We could have been a contender! We coulda been somebody! A national emphasis on recruiting is now replaced by a regional emphasis. As a logical extension, we should just recruit at Pioneer HS and really show MSU who owns A2.
Rivalry! Big 10 Championship! Podium Thumping. Pointing in the distance. Toughness! Hard Hitting! --It's all ours now.

Yes, RR made many mistakes here and probably misread the topography of the athletic department landscape, but I'm just pissed at the school more than RR for the last 3 years. The school and media bear more responsibility for the lack of his success than he does.
-FREEP lies to set him up for NCAA investigation
-lack of support from the establishment and political infighting, whatever that was.
-Brandon coming out saying that we've been underpaying the coaching staff all along, but we're not going to get a better qualified DC for RR, we're going to get rid of him along with GERG. We'll spend more $$ this time around.
-Brandon letting him and the rest of the staff just hang out there in the wind for too long. Bad for RR and bad for upcoming season.
I hope Hoke is successful, but it's going to take a long time to forget how sucky UM behaved during all of this. We think we're better than this, but we don't behave as if we are.

It has all devolved far enough that I'm thinking the best candidate out there now is RR. I wonder what it would take to get him back? Kidding, but not really.
