|21 hours 59 min ago||It's not just||
effort either. Two first year starters in the front court and a new defensive coach means it takes time.
|2 days 13 min ago||It's frustrating because||
that (he isn't a SVG type PG) was easy to know before giving him a fat contract.
|3 days 12 hours ago||Meh...the Pistons||
have not been resurrected under his ownership. Not impressed.
|3 days 23 hours ago||Speight did fine as a first year||
starter playing behind an unreliable OL and with an inconsistent running game. His ability to hang in the pocket and shake off puss rushers was above average, especially first year. He is the last person on a unit with senior receivers, TE, RB, along with a senior laden OL, I'd be pointing the finger at. I expect him to step next season.
|4 days 3 hours ago||Smith is my||
favorite Wolverine heading into the draft. He kept his head down, played hard as hell and beat out all comers. I hope he makes some good money in the NFL.
|4 days 22 hours ago||And that explains the no calls on||
Wisconsin and the Simpson out of bounds call?
|4 days 22 hours ago||Beilein has said that||
he needs Wilson's defense more than his offense right now. Wilson and Wagner were so much better tonight on the defensive end.
|4 days 22 hours ago||Having to sit Wilson and Wagner||
because of foul trouble certainly did hurt them.
|4 days 23 hours ago||He took a hard foul||
on the defensive end before the one at the offensive end. It looks like his hip.
|6 days 1 hour ago||Ty lists his career||
goals here...he wants to be a college head football coach. It's the last item on his list. I think this is an odd move.
|6 days 5 hours ago||I think this is||
needlessly tying Beilein to his history, even though he's shown time after time he is willing to adapt both his offense and defense. He believes the shortened shot clock has changed the game in terms of attacking offense. In response he brought in two bigs and Donlon. Still, he has two bigs that are first year starters, one of whom was foul prone last year. They are going through the culture change of a new defense and learning what a good foul is. To my eye their perimeter defenders are so afraid of getting blown by they sag too much. When they do get up on a guy they give their man the wrong lane rather than sending them toward help. This will improve as their recognition and experience grows. Good defense requires the 5 people on the floor playing on a string. That doesn't happen over night, one breakdown blows it up.
|6 days 10 hours ago||Winston played||
11 minutes yesterday in State's loss. He's played more than Simpson out of need, not necessarily production.
|6 days 22 hours ago||He was not your average recruit. After he||
committed he said that most questioned his decision because Michigan was a football school.
|1 week 6 hours ago||I'd like to||
see Green Bay in the Super Bowl but not because I like them at all. I just want the biggest audience watching Brady and the Pats humiliate them. I feel the same way about Dallas.
|1 week 1 day ago||I will admit I||
was getting indifferent during the end of Rodriguez' time. I was never like that with Hoke and certainly not Beilein. Most of the negative comments about Beilein though are so far off the mark in term's of knowing today's game.
|1 week 1 day ago||I don't think it||
was pointed, Beilein likes him and his team.
|1 week 1 day ago||Why, they||
beat Indiana and Maryland in their gyms?
|1 week 2 days ago||Too bad you have||
to mention feelings about Beilein. He's a good and decent man representing a Michigan related charity. Sadly it would be just the opposite if this were Harbaugh.
|1 week 2 days ago||I don't know||
it as fact but it seems to me that Carr had basically lunch money to pay his staff.
|1 week 3 days ago||He had some||
nice runs. It's tough to blame him for the OL mediocrity.
|1 week 3 days ago||Talk to any inside old timer||
and they will tell you that both Frieda and Fischer were dirty.
|1 week 4 days ago||Yes, let's||
continue to blame Hoke for the bad and praise Harbaugh for the good. It's not that the OL observation isn't correct...but it seems to me that there should be a bit of concern.
|1 week 4 days ago||I'm happy about this, let the NFL||
fund it as MLB does their farm system. Let the kids decide if they want to go this route, skip academics and the reality that most will never see a pro contract, let them go. I suspect the bright lights and national exposure will keep most of them on a traditional path. Or maybe this league explodes if they are as valuable as many seem to think.
|1 week 5 days ago||I will always||
appreciate he stuck with his commitment when times were rocky. He said at the time "that's why they call it rebuilding." He was wiser than many Michigan fans.
|1 week 5 days ago||If Walton keeps||
struggling I expect to see more of Simpson. Winston has had some bad games, his minutes are as much out of necessity as they are play.
|1 week 5 days ago||How about an||
effective OL, creative play calling, a crafty slot receiver and WRs who can go up and get the ball or make plays on imperfect throws.
|1 week 5 days ago||The clock management||
on the final drive could have been a similar fail.
|1 week 6 days ago||Happy for Andrew. Good to||
see Beilein having some fun with the team.
|2 weeks 6 hours ago||I wasn't following||
this recruitment with the intensity of some but in general I'm not a fan of a committed kid flirting with other programs at deadline. And I'm not a fan of other programs fueling the flirtation. It's like dating an engaged girl...if they don't call off the engagement they are just screwing with you (not to mention showing a character flaw).
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Michigan coaches know he's||
committed to Alabama. They can't pretend they don't know anything. If they don't like the kid's process then they should move on...they can't blame Harris for their choice.
