|7 hours 19 min ago||Agreed. It's||
almost cruel with it's beautiful melodies and devastating lyrics.
|3 days 9 hours ago||No, they don't.||
Caris is a probable first round pick and Walton is a highly ranked PG. That's like adding 2 blue chippers to a roster that LEARNED the Beilein system while they were down. The results with them last year doesn't take into account they were working with two freshmen and a first year starter with an expanded role. If you look back both Morris and Burke benefited from in-season adjustments after struggling.
|4 days 3 hours ago||Well he's had to||
play a lot of freshmen in recent years without the benefit of a Junior and Senior experience. Being able to absorb one on a team that will have several upperclassmen starting should be much easier.
|4 days 3 hours ago||Tough choice for||
the kid. I think, if it's between Cal and Michigan, the Wolverines might have an advantage. Beilein is considered an offensive genius, Martin a defensive minded coach with an emphasis on toughness. Geography and family ties favor the Wolverines. Michigan will upperclassman experience which is a perfect platform for a star. The conference gets plenty of national attention and air play.
|4 days 6 hours ago||Meh. The coaches||
|6 days 5 hours ago||Beilein hasn't been||
committed to zone defense in several years. He uses it to change up rhythm and a bit last season when overmatched. Still they got to the final a few years ago without a plus defender. Maybe this is why JB is stocking up on bigs...he's going to need 15 plus fouls at the 5.

Donnal (89), Walton (36), Irvin (22) and Chatman (38) were all top100 guys. Most think Wagner would be if he had prepped here and that Teske will be after his senior season. Burke (83), Hardaway (93) and Stauskas (73) were not can't miss blue chippers. Robinson (18) has been Beilein's highest overall ranked recruit and arguably had the least impact of the top 100 to come to AA.
|1 week 12 hours ago||I thought they||
took a DB out and denied him water.
|1 week 1 day ago||I hope he's doing||
it to force the NBA's hand. If kids don't want to sit as freshmen let them go toil overseas or the D league. The quality of college ball will improve.
|1 week 2 days ago||Much better.||
I like the idea of a couple of bigs coming in 2 years after Doyle and Wilson. It gives them a chance to develop. Beilein has been caught both thin and inexperienced at the 5 too many times.
|1 week 2 days ago||He's after the||
talent but can't seem land 'em. I don't know why that is...he's got a couple of relatively young assistants who should be connecting. He doesn't seem to ride his players like Izzo does. Is he seen as a system guy? Do the G and Wing prospects see him as too confining?
|1 week 2 days ago||Doyle? I don't||
|1 week 2 days ago||How can there be so||
many negative comments about a kid I'm betting only 2 or 3 have seen play? We don't know if Beilein sees a transfer coming up after next year or a kid poised to explode next season.
It's a surprise commit but Beilein is a man who thinks multiple plays ahead.
|1 week 4 days ago||It depends on what||
Brown wants. He seems anxious to get to the NBA to me. If that's true he needs a fit where there is enough talent/experience to win and enough room for him to have a huge role. I don't think NC and Kentucky offer that combination.
|1 week 5 days ago||Agree.||
|1 week 6 days ago||What should Harbaugh||
have thanked him for? Rodriguez never bought into or understood the Michigan tradition. Trash that as many will but that is what drew Harbaugh back to Ann Arbor. I would expect him to acknowledge the men who shared that with him.
|2 weeks 14 hours ago||I find him||
irritating but he doesn't make me at all angry. I am a Michigan grad. Five Izzo championships in a row would never make me green in any sense of the word.
|2 weeks 14 hours ago||I think you missed||
the point. Most here just don't like him, or his whining, or his adolescent swipes at Michigan, or his phoney humility, or his slumber party searches for chemistry, etc. I mean come on man, the guy is beyond irritating. Green is his color though, it's definitely his color.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||I think he is fine from||
a developmental standpoint. I'd like to see him get Michigan in the mix for more bigs but maybe the style they play makes that difficult.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||That's funny.||
I get emails from a former employee directed to me at the office. The guy is part of a gang of boosters and they have been saying all week that Swanigan was Cal bound because Izzo quit recruiting him due to his lack of toughness.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||This is true however||
I have learned that everything that is now or could be bad is due to Hoke and everything that is good is due to Harbaugh.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Hard to recruit||
receivers after blowing up the spread and waiting several seasons for the dust to settle.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Screw that. Michael||
will always be around 20 and I'll always be around...
So Happy Birthday, Michael for the 9th time.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||It took some time,||
including with the Colt's staff, to develop that. Had there not been the early season injuries we would have seen it all year.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Who is jealous?||
They are a semi-pro like team and I don't like that influence on all of college basketball. And I don't want a coach whose primary recruiting line appears to be shortest path to the NBA.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||We will never know||
how much Hoke's tenure played into Harbaugh's decision. I bet some though. As Hackett said, Hoke was masterful about a lot of things. People don't want to acknowledge what a hole Michigan was in when Hoke arrived. At least Hoke "got" what Michigan was about and recruited around those themes. Yes, Hoke couldn't deliver in wins but he delivered in many other ways and Harbaugh and Michigan are better off for it.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I miss Max||
|2 weeks 4 days ago||I'll take the||
guy who thought it was an honor to play for Michigan over any guy deciding who he would honor for a cup of coffee on his way to the NBA.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||In the long run||
I think Michigan gets more out of a standing behind their guys than sweeping them aside for one-and-dones. If Hatch determines that he can't compete or wants to focus on his studies that's something he should initiate.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Well yeah,||
he always looks like an ass clown. Still, I could better see his point watching a team that could actually compete with Duke.
