things down. He doesn't seem to react properly when a defense takes something away and relies too heavily on the bench to call out a play. It was the same struggle last year. Irvin at least had 5 assists last night.

makes you decide Beilein should retire? There have been games this season that the offense looked great. Texas is a young, developing team with a defensive minded coach. I credit that for some of last night. The other problem is one that was obvious last year...Irvin isn't Caris or Stauskas talent wise and Walton isn't Morris or Burke in terms of thinking the game. When Michigan is taken out of their game Walton doesn't seem to recognize the next option. I trust Beilein to adjust.
|1 day 5 hours ago||I clearly remember||
being with my uncle and a bunch of his fellow Michigan grads/boosters. They hated Carr and called him a hillbilly from Downriver. I think Bo did a lot to insulate Carr from detractors. Had Bo been around I doubt Michigan would have gone so far off course, he commanded respect.
|1 day 5 hours ago||This gets old. If a kid had great||
talent it would have emerged under Harbaugh over the last two years.
|2 days 5 hours ago||The play broke down.||
Irvin and/or others on the floor failed to react. Beilein covered it in his post game presser though he didn't name names.

reading the point?
|3 days 11 hours ago||The OL was what it was,||
why not have a couple of wrinkle plays by the last quarter of the season? Both VT and Clemson had a couple each last night to remind me. To me that's more disappointing than anything else because it was in the staff's control.
|3 days 12 hours ago||It's simple....||
don't give the control of your destiny away to the committee, the refs or another team.

I have a different view of Michigan's elite culture. While it's true that a high performing football or basketball team contribute to a culture of excellence and achievement it's also true that the value of my degree is not measured by football and basketball records.
|4 days 2 hours ago||Clemson isn't the||
third best team in college football.
|4 days 2 hours ago||Watching Clemson-VT||
and seeing a few "trick" plays makes me wonder again what we were doing the last few weeks of the season.
|4 days 7 hours ago||Are you under||
the impression that isn't worth anything?
|5 days 8 hours ago||That's what makes||
the interior defense more important.
|5 days 8 hours ago||This is correct.||
I'm in favor of coaching points this early in the season if that's what it takes to get through a kid's head. It's more important to get him to improve right now. This isn't about Donnel at all, it's about maximizing Wagner.
|6 days 10 hours ago||JB seemed||
frustrated and angry with his team in the post game questions.He didn't like their foolish fouls or their failure to take it to the basket which he said was open all night (he actually said when Duncan is doing it you know how open the lanes were. He also didn't like their floor recognition, saying they have plays to go to as action dictates. Last year JB said a lot of times the opponent was just better. Not the case last night which gives me some hope they will improve.
|1 week 3 hours ago||I typically listen to the||
radio broadcast post game Beilein interviews. I don't think I've ever heard him as frustrated with a performance as tonight. He pretty much said they beat themselves with their own stupidity. He named the silly fouls, failure to go to the basket when the lane was open all night and not recognizing the plays that were out there to be made.
Walton just isn't able to run the offense since he started at Michigan. Year one the offense went through Stauskas and in years two and three the plan was to go through Caris. I'm not sure where he turns this season.
|1 week 3 hours ago||Actually Beilein addressed||
it after the game. Both of your explanations are incorrect.
|1 week 3 hours ago||I don't see in any shape or||
form how Beilein is Rich Rodriguez.
|1 week 8 hours ago||I've always felt||
that there were more Michigan State fans in West Michigan...but maybe that was because of the dark years.
|1 week 12 hours ago||Peppers, Butt,||
Lewis, Glasgow, etc. all chose Michigan because Hoke was just happy to be there and didn't know what he was doing? Come on, man. A better, even if inaccurate, explanation is that Harbaugh is a polarizing figure and some refs itch for the opportunity to knock him down a notch.
|1 week 17 hours ago||What part of DL work||
at Michigan didn't you like, the line play or recruiting?
|1 week 1 day ago||They positioned Michigan||
to be the first in should 3 or 4 stumble. They would have flipped Michigan and Wisconsin if they saw the conference champion as the next one in. I don't even think it's close in their minds.
|1 week 2 days ago||I am not as||
enamored with Harbaugh's every action as most are. In this case I hope he or the University double down on the criticisms. The conference should be embarrassed by the crew they selected and their work while the eyes of the country upon them.
|1 week 2 days ago||Awful, awful||
news. Prayers for the injured.
|1 week 2 days ago||I wonder how the ref who||
spotted the ball made all of these calculations so quickly. Hell, I wonder how he even located the ball.
|1 week 3 days ago||I didn't notice that until||
the 4th quarter. I assumed Ohio State had changed up some things (tempo?) and it confused Michigan.
|1 week 3 days ago||Really? Well if there weren't||
multiple bad calls there wouldn't have been overtime either. Or do the refs get 1.5 bad calls for every turnover. Oh no, that can't be it because Ohio State had a turnover and no bad calls.
|1 week 3 days ago||I think there were two of||
those. The throws were a half step behind but we really needed a play to be made and it didn't happen.
|1 week 3 days ago||Move on and wait until this||
crew screws someone else? The Big Ten just embarrassed themselves in front of the college football watching nation. This isn't about a single call that didn't go Michigan's way, it's about numerous calls and two different standards. Then, come to find out, 3 members of the officiating crew are from Ohio, at least two of whom have soiled records. Oh, and they are involved in the most controversial calls of the day. This is just unacceptable for any game but particularly a banner game. Until Ohio State compiles a video montage of missed calls I will conclude this was a deliberate effort to handicap Michigan. If they should come up with the video I'll modify my conclusion to incompetency. Both are wrong and the conference should address the issue.
|1 week 3 days ago||So where is the opening where||
he got the ball over the line?
