|2 days 1 hour ago||0-12.||
By mid season half the team would for being called soft, underdeveloped and over-rated.
|2 days 1 hour ago||I think a lot of||
people would you the opportunity to self promote or rev up the fan base or otherwise try to distinguish themselves.
|2 days 6 hours ago||I disagree.||
If it's Hoke's fault then it's because he hasn't gotten in Nuss' face and demanded more.
|2 days 7 hours ago||Nuss?||
He's shown less than nothing. There would have been far more problems.
|2 days 11 hours ago||This the thing||
I most hated about Rodriguez and his supporters seem to enable it...it's always someone else's fault.
|2 days 12 hours ago||Every team||
(business or otherwise) rallies around a standard/aspiration of values and performance. Hoke has done a damn good job of recruiting around a theme of tradition/values and the next coach will inherit a roster of kids on the same page. He's failed at translating it to wins but that doesn't mean the foundation is faulty. I like the team number for this reason, I like the Michigan Man standard for the same reason.
All the rest, from legend jerseys that were prematurely awarded to guys who never lived up to the expectation to bullshit criticisms of headsests and polo shirts I can do without.

Did Brandon force that move? I don't care how much people hated Borges... he managed proof of life several games.
|3 days 4 min ago||The mistakes||
that DG makes are inexplicable. Funchess' play in the No 1 is more embarrassing than the team's record. If the two had just played average this season they'd have several more wins.
|3 days 5 hours ago||I love DG||
but he's not very good with multiple options.
|4 days 1 hour ago||I'll be really||
disappointed if Michigan hires Miles. There is a sleaze factor. It's not because of the SEC either.
|6 days 16 min ago||He hasn't lost||
the confidence of the team which is much harder to earn and maintain.
|6 days 10 hours ago||What are the||
systemic issues? Every large organization has problems but I would like to know what negatives outweigh the positives. Michigan has great facilities, huge fan base, iconic stadium, big money donors, etc. What is systemically wrong?
|1 week 4 hours ago||The Minnesota game made me||
see that this could be the end. The ND game made me question Mattison. Hoke has never lost me though. He's like a brother and you don't turn your back on your brother. In fact, you pretty much begin to hate all of the cheap shots, ridicule and judgements from people with no resume to make them.
|1 week 8 hours ago||I don't agree he||
is in over his head. He simply started in a hole much deeper than anyone here admits. On top of that he had a meddling AD.
|1 week 11 hours ago||Which is probably||
why he doesn't recognize what a real dumpster fire looks like.
|1 week 12 hours ago||Carr had what||
amounted to lunch money to spend on assistants, didn't he?
|1 week 1 day ago||Funny how well||
a bad situation is handled absent Brandon. Hoke said exactly what I would hope, including the development of men and second chances. And I was really happy to read that he will continue to support Clark...a lesser man would not have said that.
|1 week 1 day ago||This team||
is much closer to being good than bad. It's obvious they lack the swagger confidence and seniors help create. When one thing goes wrong they become more tentative. It kills them that the guy who should be in charge of confidence, who should pick up the unit and execute the next play, is DG. It hurts not to have Peppers confidence on defense.
If DG had just been average they'd have 2 more wins. If Funchess had been more than average think of the momentum shifts he could have created.
When and if the real story of these last several is written we will find a program going off course in Carr's last years (when he admittedly lost his fire), lost without Bo's voice and going sideways and ultimately downward under Rodriguez. Hoke has rebuilt a decent roster of guys who bought the Michigan vision. The team will be better next year no matter who the coach is.
|1 week 1 day ago||Brian, thank||
you for your consistency. I am very troubled by those cascading praise for the lowering the academic (OK, changing them) for athletes post wouldn't also understand that the same forces that keep some from focusing on school can also shape in other ways. Sitting in suburbia claiming to understand one but not the other doesn't work.
|1 week 2 days ago||So...if clapping doesn't||
help try having subs, guaranteed crrazy time.
|1 week 2 days ago||Oh please.||
Only statements like these resemble Michigan State.
|1 week 2 days ago||No kidding...||
the sexist crap here is amusing. There is no core except winning.
|1 week 2 days ago||They have 3 kids...||
you don't just move them around according to a football schedule.
|1 week 4 days ago||Ah yes, a blast||
from earlier days here. One has to be on their toes to keep up with those whose hearts ache over academic requirements and then tee up those same players for attack.
|1 week 4 days ago||Optics.||
Beilein is a home run but he is a low key throw back.
|1 week 6 days ago||Stuff like this||
is why I defend him. He's one of ours, win or lose. All that means is I will treat him with respect even if I feel he's not going to make it.
|1 week 6 days ago||Really?||
I'd say the people who attack Hoke are the ones most likely to cheat on their spouse and then rationalize it by explaining how she didn't meet his needs.
|2 weeks 5 hours ago||Who is we||
and why are fans any more equipped to make a judgement? Fans are restless but they have pretty much a single criteria as their basis of dissatisfaction. Nothing irritates me more though than the smug fan who never played college ball making definitive statements on player development and the like. If Hoke was nearly as bad as some here charge there would be so many more issues than what there are. Amazingly he's kept the team focused and playing hard.
|2 weeks 10 hours ago||Beilein profiles||
as the perfect coach for the new regime. He blends into the background and keeps a low profile. Carr was probably perfect. Harbaugh not so much.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Damn it's||
depressing to see how many passes are given to Harbaugh while calling for the job of an employee actually defending the University. Being all about winning isn't that far from being all about money and I don't think Prez S is all about either.
