Ohh! I'm going to look now at

Ohh! I'm going to look now at some of the profiles of Michigan's women's tennis recruits. Scuse me a minute.

that's embarasing

I thought this was a post

I thought this was a post about self abuse. I thought perhaps a new term had been coined about "fingering the lumber" or something. Sorry. Wild Turkey.

nothing

nothing

Take that off here!

Take that off here!

It's uncanny, but this is

It's uncanny, but this is EXACTLY what THE KNOWLEDGE predicted as well.

This time of year is really

This time of year is really annoying. It's like when you've got about a 12 hour drive, and there's still an hour left. It feels like you're almost done, but nope, you still have to sit there  and wait it out. But what's worse is that unlike a car drive, the last stretch of college football offseason you have to listen to a whole parcel of douchebags making "predictions" about the upcoming season. "Phil Steele" sounds like a pornstar anyway. Who could possibly care what he says about Michigan?

Underneath the plaque is a

Underneath the plaque is a quote that reads "Sean Springs fell down!"

You shouldn't tempt fate like

You shouldn't tempt fate like that.

Good to see Michigan will be included in the pregame material!

Go Blue!

I like the picture --- very

I like the picture --- very well done. But I don't like the idea that he's "Michigan's Pat White." He's  Denard fucking ballgame. Michigan's Denard.

You don't need to apologize

You don't need to apologize for not thinking it's ok to steal money from a student's locker. My hunch is that few people, including those on this website, think it's ok. The point is that everyone makes mistakes, and this one incident isn't necessarily a deal breaker, particularly if the student exhibits otherwise good behavior etc.

Does anyone else think all of

Does anyone else think all of these preseason predictions and discussions from websites like CFN etc. are becoming increasingly moronic and insipid? This article reads like something from a high school paper.

What about that song by the

What about that song by the Lo Fidelity Allstars -- I think it's called Battle Flag. That one can get you going a bit, although the uncensored version is a bit heavy on the f-bombs.

Isn't it pretty much

Isn't it pretty much impossible to argue for the superiority of Tate over Denard without seeing how they do in fall practice? It's just great that there's competition now -- and I suppose also great that they both bring different packages, so it's hard to settle in on just one defensive scheme. I just hope one or the other doesn't become bitter if he's not the starter.

"Thanks for playing" is such

"Thanks for playing" is such a total burn.

Maybe we can write App as

Maybe we can write App as "appl." or something? Somehow seeing App reminds me of a time in my life when I was really super bummed about a thing that had previoiusly seemed unthinkable happening.

I'm going to use this as a pickup line next time I'm at the discotheque. Success is virtually guaranteed!

He looks a lot like Jon Jansen!

Why is this OT? It seems like

Why is this OT? It seems like nothing could be more relevant, or more "On Topic," as we say in the blogging community, to the ardent fan.

Whoops! A quick check on the

Whoops! A quick check on the Hawkeye official website says about Wienke that as of 2010 he's "Not listed on depth chart following spring practice." It seems sort of mean to phrase it so bluntly on the official team site.

This isn't really Mallett

This isn't really Mallett related, but I'll be curious to see what happens with John Wienke, the qb from a small school who signed with Michigan but then switched to Iowa when Lloyd retired. He was another one of those prototypical pro-type quarterbacks, but obviously without the hype and raw talent of Mallett.

Count me as a big Lloyd Carr

Count me as a big Lloyd Carr fan. I was unbelievably frustrated with him at times, particulary late in his career, but he carried himself with dignity and brought a sense of ethics to the college game that seems lacking today. One thing I can say about him -- if I had a son, I would feel good about sending him to play for Lloyd, because he seemed to privilege the welfare of his players over simply winning. He also understood that first and foremost, college football players are supposed to be students -- and that playing football is supposed to be fun. This is probably quixotic, but admirable nevertheless.

Is one side effect that you

Is one side effect that you forget how to spell "address"?

Remove his two front teeth

Remove his two front teeth and Braylon Edwards would be the spitting image of Richie Havens. This point is connected to the OP because when I clicked on the Rivals link I saw Braylon's picture.

I've become addicted to

I've become addicted to Patrick Obrien's novels about Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin. There's a bunch of them. They were the source for the movie Master and Commander, with Russell Crowe a few years back. The first one is called Post Captain, and they go from there. Amazing reads. Very fun and entertaining. Can't put em down.

I like Alabama. The numbers

I like Alabama. The numbers on the helmets are cool. Also Nebraska.

This is sad news for obvious

This is sad news for obvious reasons. At the same time, though, I don't necessarily agree that the appropriate response is to flood the admissions office with angry denunciations. Unless the admissions people are just evil, they must have had at least defensible reasons for not admitting Dorsey, otherwise they wouldn't have dinged him -- particularly since this is a high profile case having to do with weighty people and issues.

Got it. My bad.

Got it. My bad.

You mean the sign has always

You mean the sign has always said "go blue go?" Is the only new part the "hold the rope" thing?

That needs to be changed.

That needs to be changed.

That whole Les Miles thing

That whole Les Miles thing seems incredibly moldy.

Amazing skills!

Somehow he seems able to become larger and glow just before he's about to make a tackle. That's got to be intimidating as hell to opposing ballcarriers.

Maybe some of the fellows

Maybe some of the fellows with a bit more experience in this area can help me out here -- but I've often wondered -- do girls like it when "big dudes" "get nasty" with enormous quantities of inexpensive food?

Did Nader Furrha see the Did Nader Furrha see the field at all in the spring game?
Good natured rivalry banter Good natured rivalry banter is acceptable. That comment by Mangold is is not literally true, so it shouldn't cause actual hatred or anguish. Comments that have a potential truth to them, or that at least some consider to be true -- for example ad hominem attacks on coaches or ex players -- are more hurtful. In short, it's ok to still love the Jets.
I myself am a savage. I myself am a savage.
I actually think the I actually think the preferred designation is now "American Indian," -- even over the term "Native American."

In fairness that sign is In fairness that sign is actually not supposed to say OHIO. It's from an Australian rugby match between the Belconnen Dingos and the Canberra Kukaburras. During games at Canberra, one side of the stadium chants "Oi!" The other chants back "Ho!"
I don't know how to embed these things. Every time I hear the phrase "it could be worse" I think of this scene. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AFf0ysgNiM
You get Lortabs after. But You get Lortabs after. But it's hell to go through. Creepy sort of.
Good. Thanks. Good. Thanks.
I hope I'm wrong about this, I hope I'm wrong about this, but if Michigan doesn't somehow negotiate these charges down to secondary violations, doesn't that mean Rich Rodriguez loses his job? I was under the impression that RR had a clause to that effect in his contract.
loose = not tight
lose = the
loose = not tight lose = the opposite of win
I wonder what to think of the I wonder what to think of the fact that Rich Rodriguez will be at the presser. I can only imagine that it's a good sign, right? Michigan has not in the past displayed disgraced coaches publicly before firing them. They do it more discreetly.
I like Michigan better than I like Michigan better than Georgia. If I was that kid I would have picked Michigan instead.
Cooked goose sounds really Cooked goose sounds really good right now. I skipped breakfast.
