Im talking on the field here...yes i graduated from ohio state aswell as my father and mother got her doctorate from there. All of us doing pretty well. Im sticking to football here though. And yes i was speaking of mattison and i do think he is a great coordinator. Im speaking of program youth and recruiting. Overall your coaching staff lacks the appeal is what im suggesting. I want you guys to hire a big name rockstar coach. Fuck the michigan man deal just upgrade. If hoke and even mattison were ohio states coach id run my head thru the tv..
Yep...hoke is gonna watch some tape. Possibly throw a head set on try to execute some plays. No offense...went to school thru cooper years. Guys this again isnt even the same or fun winning again. I agree FSU vs bama would be a good one...but stanford vs osu not so much. Stanfords play action pass game i dont think would be effective. Oregon couldnt stop the run or stop them on 3rd down. I do believe oh state could take their offense or atleast stop them enough for our offense to put up enough points..their d is strong against a 'soft' spread but i think our recieving corp could be the difference in that game.
Watch Bama though and fsu the level really isnt tbat huge to say they'd be destroyed
I agree for sure on the depth side of the ball we dont yet have the athletes in the 2 deep but in a one game set up i think depth could be not quite a factor as our 1st string i think could hang with FSU. I dont think FSU has seen a running game quite like ohio states has...with hyde power, braxton the xfactor. Our recievers and dontre and EZE. It could pose a different look than what theyve seen. FSU's offense would pose our biggest issue. We do not have the d line or overall front 7 to get consistent pressure. I hate to say but we would have to kinda hope Winston had an off day and win the turnover battle.
That would of definitely been awesome to see...i dont go back that far. My first game was 94' osu vs michigan was my first game but grew up in toledo ohio and the game was always 'the game' and i agree 100% always much more rewarding when there is more at stake for both teams.
We arent all bad...i agree there are some that i regret they root for my team aswell but i agree itd be best for our conference and recruiting for our conference as a whole. I do know ill be pulling for you in this years bowl game. I think you are a solid year away as far as fully coming around to the michigan we all know and expect but there is talent there. Your running back green i think next year and come his junior year will be a beast
Seriously though im an ohio state fan but a big ten fan aswell here guys...i absolutely mean no disrespect at all as odd as it may seem have nothing but the upmost respect for your team and program. I just am trying to provide an outsider look into your team as i do watch your guys games aswell
Thats already happened...switch alabama to lsu..you can say that but alot of buckeye fans although we dont want to lose to you respect you and honestly tables were turned id want you to take the sec down or fsu..to start to regain our conferdnce respect in the media. Think how low our conference has become??? We win 21 straight yet are questioned. With every right we should be questioned. We have to beat the best to become the best
That obviously is a huge mistake in a rivalry game always..was witness to that game. Was embarassed for him but i still love the confidence. Its the team culture...look back at some of the miami thug teams..take away the character and off the field issues yes but god you have to love it. Just pure tough nasty not going to back down. Its what our conference needs a bit more of that again.

I have watched you play as i have full respect for your program...i just do think the talent is there now..i truly feel that Hoke isnt the answer though for you as a program. I want nothing more though to see u guys return to the flagship program aswell
What i am saying is listen i want you as michigan to get to a bowl against a team and wipe the field too with them...it isnt arrogance its confidence. Sure i dont think that ohio state would be alabama or florida state handily but i love seeing this from our players...i live in alabama. And this is in news outlets everywhere alabama players say theyd handle us wifh no problem. So seeing this i know urban brought a swagger ok. I want michigan to get that back too!
Yeah im wishing he woulda remained a bit more humble about it...but we are a year away but want nothing more than to do what he said. Bring our conference back to what it used to be. Im hoping you guys also play in a bowl against sec and beat the piss out of them too!! Its the culture urban has brought..back down to nothing. Seriously.
My guess is brandon waited so long was because Hoke was not what he wanted....harbaugh played you to drive up his deal with the niners. Hoke was hired after he knew he couldnt get harbaugh or miles. Say what you want about the buckeyes program but trust me you guys arent boyscouts either behind the scenes.
This is true...but seriously come on youre michigan. The big ten is down has been for awhile. Being just competitive isnt michigan! Maybe the expectations are unrealistic but this is big time big money college football its a business. Look at tv contracts...hokes salary. Screw competitive...win
Id have to say that season and game helped with recruiting but did set high expectations too soon for Hoke and co...i still think he is your answer. But truthfully you need a big time big name but none are really available right now.
The game is much more meaningful when both teams are playing for big ten champions or national picture...2006 game comes to mind. Much more at stake thanour bragging rights..i dont see this year being much of a game but it could be it is a rivalry but fhe teams are in two different directions. As a buckeye fan ive always wanted you guys to be at the top with us. Its bettr for our league and the game. Always have watched with respect for your program but hope things change with thecoaching staff. I wasnt sold on Hoke from day one
I do believe it is hard to hold back your displeasure during the heat of the game...especially with the price and cost associated with going to the games. Ive been at games where we as buckeye fans booed...i felt sort of disgraced as people were doing it in response to bland pay calling but i feel as it puts a player versus coaches dissention with teams..your players dont want to be booed even if its towards the coaching staff its negative and only leads to more negativity surrounding the team. It feeds itself and negativity will snowball.
As a buckeye fan ive always watched michigan with respect and interest...i was at ohio state at the end of the cooper years and saw the transition and culture shift with the coaching regimes. Since Carr it seems as your culture has stayed stagnant. And i say this with respect but its been mediocre at best for Michigan standards..i do not believe Hoke is your answer. Obviously neither is Borges but cultures start at the top. You can feel it watching the games, yes your line is young, yes it does take time to develop oline skills and be cohesive but watching overall it is closing in on disarray again mu ch like the end of rich rod era games i saw. You see an absolute no clue look on Hokes face. I hope DB realizes it now..i dont know if there is a better candidate out there...Chris Pederson? Boise state coach? Idk but i do want Michigan back at the top again. It makes our league better and the rivalry much more exciting.
