Sam Webb has been out of the loop for the last six months and is quickly losing value as an insider. Everyone else seems to be in agreement that Nuata is more or less done to Georgia and Upshur just canceled his announcement so he can go visit FSU again. This is all bad for Michigan.

Hope he is good. In video posted his handles don't look great and quality of competition seems lacking but if Beilien likes him then hopefully that is good enough.

The list of successful players who are also successful coaches is pretty short. Being a good player doesn't mean being a good coach.

luckily for michigan the big ten is a pretty easy conference. So starting 2-2 doesn't kill the season.

|5 days 21 hours ago||One of the greats and||
One of the greats and greatest of all time is two completely different statements. Brady is one of the greats but isn't the greatest of all time. Both are true statements.
But of the QB's listed Brady might have had the most help of any of those guys for most of his career. Elite defenses for the first half of his career, one of the best coaches of all time, his best year included maybe the most physically gifted wr of all time, etc.
|5 days 23 hours ago||Last time I checked Brady||
Last time I checked Brady didn't win any super bowls playing for Michigan and the Patriots don't play in Detroit. I get liking Brady but he didn't cement his legacy as a great qb while at michigan.

Always a great way to land a recruit when it is because osu doesn't care because they think they can get better players but whatever he seems good so I'll be happy if he ends up here.
Peoples-Jones is about as close to a must get as any recruit could ever be. In-state 5 star who is probably a top 10 player in the country with two parents who went to Michigan at a position of extreme need where early playing time isn't a bad sign. If he goes anywhere else it is a problem.

Montana was better, Marino was better, Manning was better.He may be tied for the most accomplished quarterback but he isn't the best.
If you had the oporutnity to draft every qb at their prime brady wouldn't be the first one taken. It is that simple.

I'm saying we also do shady shit. Clemson has had a clearly better last decade of football.

Hey guys, hate to burst your bubble but so does Michigan.

Biefeldt is gone because if he is getting more than 5 minutes a game we are not beating good teams. It is that simple. The bar is set higher than what he can provide.

Shocking that the pre-season national championship favorite would be the most talented team in an otherwise shitty conference. OSU might take like 5 players from the rest of the conference combined as starters. They probably have the most talented player at every position on the field in the big ten.
Doesn't mean we can't beat them, but they are the better team on paper and most likely in reality also.

Man people are getting so salty about this. They had hundreds of things on sale over the course of the day including some desirable stuff over 50% off. Sure things sold out but that is because they had a lot of people interested. They sold more stuff than black friday so clearly enough people found things they liked. It also caused walmart and bestbuy to also put things on sale, between those 3 places you could get most items on sale for most of the day. How is that bad? Amazon never has and never will do a 20% off everything sale and anyone expecting that was bound to be disspaointed.
Prime is an amazing deal between the free movies and free 2 day shipping plus random deals throughout the year. Not sure why people are so upset at Amazon for including things like diapers in their sale rather than just putting up fun toys. If you were stocking a kitchen or had a baby yesterday was great. Not every sale is about getting a new tv.

That tweet is a stupid response. No way is saying UA is a threat to Nike next year. UA barely existed when current high school seniors were born so Nike still being liked better isn't shocking. But UA's growth has been pretty big and they are just entering the shoe market now and have Steph Curry to market it. They also have Spieth signed to a 10 year contract in golf as well and a bunch of baseball players including Bryce Harper. They've done a really good job of getting in on big young stars for marketing purposes and that will pay dividends. Plus with Notre Dame, Auburn, South Carolina, Maryland, Northwestern, etc they have a pretty good toe hold in college athletics for being a still young company.

While we are at it other annoying things from uva. Wearing ties to football games and pretending to ignore that the University of Maryland has the largest mall in the country, not UVA.

Stop saying grounds. Its a fucking campus.
Also when I was there for a model un conference in high school we went to the white spot and it was pretty good. Plus as the only predominatley black school at the conference we found it funny in a "uva frats have been known to make their pledges but on black face and pick cotton and they have a restaurant called the white spot" sort of way."

If you can get it do FIOS build your own package and do the sports packages, that is what I do. If not anything but comcast is the way to go.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Thats not really true for||
Thats not really true for graduate schools. In state tuition (as in just straight tuition) at michigan $26,367 for in state $27,867 for out of state. You save a whopping $1,500 a year. Harvard on the other hand is $57,200 so going to public school over private might make financial sense. As far as I can tell Georgia in state is a litte over $19,000 for in state. My guess is people aren't making the decision to stay in state in Georgia vs going to Michigan because of $7,000 a year but maybe I am wrong.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||According to US news which is||
According to US news which is whatever but an easy baseline OSU is the 18th best public school in the country and Georgia is the 20th, not a huge jump there in terms of the actual academics he will receive while there. Florida and Texas A&M are also in the top 25 of pulbic schools (which is all that really matters here, if it was strict academic rankings, Stanford, Duke, Northwestern etc would be top 10). Plentyt of schools in the sec are in the same academic grouping as big ten schools.

This matters when we actually get a recruit they want from there. This thread is going to look bad when Gary is at Auburn and Peoples-Jones is at Bama.

When I found out UGA had the #4 graduate program for public administration it was surprising to say the least. Girlfriends family is all from Georgia so it will probably be on the list when I'm applying to public policy/public administration schools.

Maryland basketball has one of the largest arenas in the country, has the largest student section in the country, is in one of the best recruiting parts of the country and has a top 15 program history. Sure they aren't great at football but Maryland adds a lot of value on the basketball side.
Maryland sports also won 7 big ten championships this year, the most of any school.
Maryland is also located in the 4th largest metro area in the country (Baltimore/DC), is a well respected research institution, has access to the library of congress, etc.
The only reason Maryland was a bad addition is if the only thing you care about is football. I just think its funny that people love the Nebraska addition when literally the only positive thing they bring is football.

How is using sling tv an argument right now? People who argue that unbundling will cost more are projecting that the landscape will change as well.
When unbundling does occur netlfix will either cost a lot more, cease to exist, or only have seasons that are old on it because stations will get more propietary and host things exclusively on their websites for their subscribers. Same thing with hulu. Sling tv exists in the current market, nothing about its pricing model is helpful for determining how much ESPN would cost in an unbundled world because ESPN doesn't need to charge sling tv customers $30 to remain viable in the current market.

Of course knowing Caps history he will probably end up in the hof.

|4 weeks 22 hours ago||Yes it was worth it. Sports||
Yes it was worth it. Sports teams make a city feel nice, they aren't actually drivers of economic growth and now the city has millions of dollars to spend on other things rather than a stadium.
Seattle's economy is doing just fine without the sonics, so yes not spending millions to keep them with a project with no roi was the right call.
