I know "rabid squirrel" is the preferred nomenclature for Devin Bush around these parts, but I've always felt that The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog was the perfect analogy.
He most certainly did not go "apeshit." IIRC, he was just taken aback when a student aggresively approached and began to touch him. If anything, what I took away from that interview is that Kareem handled himself quite well.
It's in a VIP thread, but the gist of the quote is that Dallas grew up thinking they were related (and their families are close) but his mom told him that they are not.
Agreed. FWIW I thought both Dizzo's and SpartanRocky's thread on the Wolverine247 board were insightful and (generally) in good humor. It's a feature I would like to see continued on the 247 board with future opponents.
It feels like we are finally feeling the after effects of losing Baxter on special teams in terms of the kicking game. I remember early last year he spoke extensively about breaking down Allen/the other kicker's mechanics and focusing solely on the act of kicking rather than on the end product of making field goals. That seems like it would be a good exercise to help right the kicking game ship.
I'm not sure that's really a fair comparison but I understand what you're saying. I look at it as more of a Craig Roh situation. His skill set wasn't a good fit at linebacker and moving him there because of a lack of depth didn't make him a better linebacker and probably hurt the team more in long run.
I know that safety depth is currently thin, and will be even more dire in 2017, but that was fairly apparent last year as well. If he actually is a realistic option at safety it would have made more sense to move him last year so that he could be properly groomed in preparation for the 2017 season.
Also, while we have some highly touted recruits coming in this year, the future depth chart at cornerback doesn't really inspire too much confidence either. The defense is still going to play man press under Don Brown and having an experienced player on the outside is incredibly important as well.
It just seems like an about-face by Brian. Last year's cornerback preview was explicitily dubious of attempts to put Watson at safety, going so far as to chastise the previous staff for even considering that as an option.
"Watson's high school tape was literally all him lining up an inch from the wide receiver's nose and riding them into oblivion. So it was bizarre when the previous coaching staff moved him to safety."
IIRC the story on Brandon Watson was his innate ability to get into wide receiver's grill and press them off their routes. I understand the lack of depth at safety but what's the advantage of moving him there now? That idea was often scoffed at in the past.

Did I miss the Harbaugh talk? The break was just a discussion of the Rutgers game dust up.
Probably time to start updating that Depth Chart by Class.
BADGE-uh-muh is how the folks I grew up with pronounced it.
Is Castleton dutch?
I agree...although I don't love that they've added "bitch" to the end.
This is one of the best MGoPodcasts I've heard in awhile.
Blast from the past George Campbell.

Where's the frontispiece?
Charles Matthews leaping over that players prone body is just brutal.
Good shit, Ace.
We need an all trash talking OFAAT edition.
Jordan Poole is Michigan's Rasheed Wallace. And that's a good thing.
I believe that Wroblewski has exhausted his elibigility.
Seconded. It just feels forced at this point.
I think there is only one person REALLY beating that drum..
Although Harbaugh does tend to wear black sweatshirts, but I digress.
Never wear black without the blue...or in this case, blue without the blue.

He REALLY didn't want to play fullback...
Braylon-esque out there high-pointing the ball on those interceptions.
New MGoBlog tag: "joe milton explodes footballs"
I believe it's actually pronounced, "fasha."
The Anne Frank house is definitely worth the wait to get in. Really powerful stuff.
Seconded.

"Intensity Deficit"
The Hoke Era summed up in two words.

Also, the return of dinosaur punt formations.
