Huge blow to Sparty Wow, this stinks if you're a Spartan fan. They just lost their biggest baddest recruit that would have been sacking a lot of quarterbacks. Maybe he'll make the smart decision and become a Buckeye like his older brother, that is if he wants rings.
Spring Game Spring games are so much fun! O have gone to the OSU one 3 times now and have mad it a tradition to go every year. Last year, as everybody knows we broke the national attendance record with 95,000 strong checking out the Bucks, The year before we had 75,000 in the pouring rain. we have true fans down in Ohio. The games are great to go to because they have tons of free stuff and it's only $5. It's great to see the young up and coming stars before they burst onto the national scene.
Hey there fellow Hey there fellow buckeye!!!!!!!
Joe Pa is so dang old Besides the Michigan game each year the Penn State is the game that I look forward to the most. Not only because the games have been so close and exciting the last four or five years, but because a legend stands on the other sideline, or sits in the press box. Joe Pa represents tradition and excellence. It will be so weird to not see him on the sidelines in a few years. Congrats for making it to 83!!!!
Indy or Minn. or the D? The game would obviously have to be played in a Dome. So you have the choice of the Metrodome, barf, Lucas Oil stadium in Indy or Ford Field in Detroit. The Metrodome is out because it is a piece of crap and geographically is a haul for most Big Ten fans. Indy or the D are the wisest choices. I would choose Indy because the MAC Championship game is played there and you can't really do two games in one day in the same stadium. I smile at the thought of a Big Ten Championship Game, that would be sweet.
He's alrigt]ht I just checked out some highlights on rivals.com of this recruit. He isn't half bad. He had so many highlights just in that one game. He throws the ball with some zip on it and with pretty good accuracy. They showed one deep ball that was on the money. He looks really fast and elusive while running the ball. Overall he could be an underrated recruit like Troy Smith.
Who might go Out of the supposed list above these are the players that should highly consider going or have a good chance of being drafted high. First off Cameron Heyward and Thad Gibson are both dominant physical players that already have NFL ready bodies and should definitely consider going now. If both of them did O State would have no returning starters on the d-line next year. Ross Homan and Brian Rolle each had good season with Rolle leading the Buckeyes in tackles this year. Still, that was only about 85 tackles or so. Both of them could greatly benefit from returning for their senior season. The only other player that would get drafted high in my opinion would be Bryant Browning. he's huge and really improved as the season went on. The others are not ready for the next level yet.
I am surprised he said that I am surprised he said that since ohio State has led the Big Ten in Academic All Big Ten Selections the last six years.
How about..... I'm a traditionalist and would like the name to stay as the big 10 despite the number of teams in conference. I'l play along though. 1. Midwest Major Conf. 2. I like the great North as mentioned above. 3. Northern Athletic Conference 4. I also like the MIdwestern Athletic COnference even though the MAC is in the same region. I wouldn't like to be compared to them even though it sounds nice. 5. Great Plains Conference 6. MIghty Midwest Conference
Divisions or no Divisions, that is the question Ever since this got brought up a couple of days ago everyone has been about who to add and what teams would go in which division. How would those division get drawn up? etc., etc. I'm here to say that just because we add one more team, why do there have to be two divisions? Why can't it be just one big conference? Just because the Big 12 has 12 teams and they have a conference title game doesn't mean the Big 10 would have to. We already have 11 teams and 8 confernece games, meaning each team doesn't play two teams from the conference each year. Well, if we add a 12th team all that means is that you don't play 3 teams from your conference each year. I can see how that might create some serous chaos at the end of the year and it could be a 2 or 3 way tie for the conference title. The fact of the matter is that it has already happened before. In 1903 Michigan, Minnesota, and Northwestern split the crown 3 ways. 1906, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin shared the title. In 1918, Illinois, Michigan, Purdue won it. Want to get more recent, ok, in 2000 Michigan, Northwestern, and Purdue split the title. Now I know that NOBODY likes split titles, but it has happened all throughout conference history. I would like to see divisions as well but I just wanted to put this argument out here because no one has even considered it an option.
Kelly and the Irish: The Rebirth of ND? Hey everybody, I am a fist time blogger here and if you can't tell by my name I am an Ohio State fan that lives in Ann Arbor!!! Nothing like living in enemy territory!!! Kelly was the right man for the job. Everyone thought Weis was going to be the savior for the golden domers after 2 straight BCS appearances in his fist two seasons. Then his recruits came in, haha. He did get top recruits but he couldn't find the recipe for success. Now Kelly takes over as a man with enthusiasm and passion for the game. Even I got energized by his press conference chat with the media. The guy can coach. Everybody knows the story,Nat'l titles at GVSU, MAC Championships at Central, and 2 Big East titles at Cincy. The guy has been successful everywhere he has gone and Notre Dame will be no different. It might not happen right away but he has plenty of talent to work with from the start. Crist at QB should be a stud. Manti Teo back to help the defense out. Obviously they are losing a ot of offensive power with the losses of Golden Tate and Clausen. Floyd is coming back and with the emergence of Crist, once he's healthy again, Nd could be pretty decent on offense next year, barring they find a running back. I think they made a tremendous selection naming Kelly the new head man. I will miss "frontbutt" on the sideline though. I believe that ND will be in a BCS bowl game in 3 years, mark my words!!
