All lists of songs written as an offhand joke should be taken VERY SERIOUSLY, and definitely as an indication of my favorite songs ever, as opposed to a few tracks I thought of off the top of my head that would make me laugh if I heard them emanating from Greg Mattison's office.
Also, you're just dead wrong on Freddie Gibbs. This is not a subjective argument.
|2 days 6 hours ago||Wouldn't go that far yet.||
He's got great measurables, don't get me wrong, but calling for Michigan to offer Holloman at this juncture is premature. It's a small class, they've got bigger fish to fry at running back—Damien Harris and Mike Weber are both much more polished runners, and Michigan's at or near the top for both—and Holloman's film doesn't scream "can't miss" to me.
The straight-line speed he shows on tape is great, but he doesn't make many sharp cuts and given the competition he doesn't show a whole lot of power. Unless he improves in those areas, I think he's more of a guy Michigan would take at the end of the cycle and see if they can find a role for him, as opposed to taking him as their top option at running back. Since Michigan didn't take a back in the 2014 class, they really can't afford to take a gamble there in this class.
That said, if they fill their needs and have room for a guy like this, I'm all for putting an offer out there and seeing if he can develop; there's obviously a lot of potential here.

But I don't think Michigan would take Etherington—don't think he'd provide the level of impact they'd want. He's not looking at any Big Ten schools at the moment, either.
|5 days 7 hours ago||He could be a decent option||
He could be a decent option if he's up to snuff academically, but there's a red flag with him, too—multiple suspensions at FGCU.
|5 days 7 hours ago||Yes, that is the case.||
If TaShawn Thomas gets his release and a waiver, he'd be an ideal fit. Solid rebounding numbers and a top-100 block rate, plus 60% shooting on a high volume of attempts. Yes, please.

I'd fade away, too.

That lob is the main weakness of the 1-3-1 no matter who you stick back there — covering the entire baseline with one player is damn near impossible, so you need length up front to prevent those passes from happening in the first place. I wouldn't change how Michigan utilized their personnel at all; LeVert's disruption up top is what makes it an effective curveball defense more than anything else.

...it's always worth checking the byline. Also, notified Brian, think he already fixed it.
|4 weeks 7 hours ago||This was supposed to be a||
This was supposed to be a brief overview—like Brian's Wofford thing—and there will be a much more complete preview on Friday if Michigan advances. This was more team-focused than personnel-focused save for the part where I pointed out a potential mismatch, and while Carson puts up numbers in bulk he's not very efficient (99.3 ORtg) — I think Michigan can handle that just fine.

Thanks for the correction?
I've been writing all weekend without any editor. Sorry for the typo in an instant recap.

|4 weeks 5 days ago||His numbers are just under||
His numbers are just under Jordan Morgan's, and still quite good (104th in OR%, 417th in DR%), and that's with Ross (17.2 DR%) and Smith (16.7) eating up way more defensive boards than any Michigan non-center. He does tend to give up offensive rebounding chances when he goes for blocks, but he's still solid on that end—much better than, say, Nnanna Egwu—and he's a legit threat on the offensive glass.

says the same, but like I said, I'm relaying information sent directly to the media from the athletic department. The official site—which previously listed ESPN or ESPN2—has it listed as ESPN, as well.

Media relations confirmed this afternoon that it will be on ESPN.

He enjoyed it.
Good thing, too, because about half of the team retweeted it. I think they were all on the bus to Indy when it got published.

As opposed to taking nationally televised content and slapping the MGoBlog logo on it? It's in the public domain. It's a great GIF. I'm not sure why this is a problem.
Also, it's not like GRIII is making money off his Instagram account. And it's linked in the post. I'm not even sure why I bothered answering this.

...forgot to include another Stauskas three and Dakich gem [click to embiggen]:
Yes, Dakich gets out of his chair and starts stretching the moment Stauskas gets the ball.

Do you happen to still have the video of halftime, goblue16? My video doesn't have it and that's when they showed the full replay of Stauskas trolling the Orange Crush after his buzzer beater. If you've got it, get in touch—would be nice to have for GIF purposes.
EDIT: Nevermind. Got it.
|6 weeks 4 hours ago||Too late now.||
Closed the photoshop window; adding numbers would've quadrupled the amount of time it took to put this together, anyway. (Any editing beyond a static overlay—like the MGoBlog logo—takes a significant amount of time.)
My best suggestion is to keep an eye on the scoreboard at the bottom.

If GIFs take a really long time to load for you, there are browser extensions that will delay playback until each GIF is fully loaded.
Chrome: GIF Delayer
Firefox: GIF Delayer
There's also the Chrome extension GIF Scrubber, which lets you have movie-like control over playback. That one is a lot of fun to play around with.

Looked at the guy's comment history and did what had to be done. As a result, this comment thread now makes zero sense.
Word to the unwise: if you're going to vehemently argue in favor of oversigning, (1) don't, because it's morally reprehensible, and (2) if you do, don't resort to name-calling when your argument inevitably falls flat.
