Thank you, everyone, in…

Thank you, everyone, in particular Brian and Seth for providing the opportunity to do this. This couldn't have happened anywhere else.

Thanks for your concern! My…

Thanks for your concern! My parents are very happy with the direction I'm going. I also don't live with them anymore, since that was always a temporary situation caused by getting one month's notice to move in the middle of a pandemic while my health was in a poor state. I'm living on my own again, it's been a great step.

Just wanted to acknowledge…

Just wanted to acknowledge and thank everyone for the kind words here. It's been an amazing ten years and this will always be a very special place to me. I don't have too much to add beyond what I said in the twitter thread. I will say this: the choices to step back and leave were mine alone, and Brian has been quite generous with me upon my exit beyond what I expected or what was required.

I've been reading the site damn near since its inception in 2004 and I'm certainly not going to stop. I'll be around. I can't say how much I appreciate being given the opportunity to become such a big part of this community.

Novak didn't dunk in the 2011 Tennessee game. Burke and Stauskas didn't dunk in the VCU game. The play-by-play dating back to 2010 is complete.

if you want good analysis, perhaps give the writers time to properly go through the game again instead of tossing out a knee-jerk reaction.

I find the mask theater on…

I find the mask theater on the sideline with players/coaches who have been isolated together all season to be silly.

Different issue in a room with those from outside that bubble, especially when that coach is also saying to ignore COVID tests and has tested positive for COVID herself before.

yes, it's a covid exemption…

yes, it's a covid exemption year. the point was that varejao doesn't look likely to play even though she's been back in the country for weeks. hasn't seen the floor at all, couldn't practice with the team for most of the season, and had to train on her own.

yeah, that's an omission on…

yeah, that's an omission on my part. also considered trevion williams despite how good he'd been last year because of the added passing dimension but i wanted to focus on players that weren't mentioned in all-conference discussion already.

agree with you. wbb is still very stratified. discussed this topic on the pod a bit but KBA has been recruiting at a level that could get them to make another leap before too long.

i'm fully aware of what underwood was referring to and mentioned it in the post, illinois guy. wrote a whole paragraph, even.

you keep asking this each week and the answer is: when nebraska isn't clearly by far the worst team in conference, which has been the case all year and is now even more the case since their best player left the team.

TJD has played center literally every minute he's been on the court this season.

I used PORPAGATU! and other advanced stats to help narrow the list but didn't want to rely on those too heavily—Chaundee Brown ranks lower than a lot of other, worse sixth men because his defense doesn't translate to box score stats.

I should've put Young in the others considered. I had him on my longer list when I was narrowing things down but his role is very different as a center—the fact that he's a poor defender has a much bigger impact than in Ahrens' case because the latter isn't tasked with protecting the rim.

Mulcahy has started 8/14 games for Rutgers, including their most recent one, so even though he's come off the bench for a lot of Big Ten play, I didn't have him under consideration. Definitely a good player, though, and if he's their sixth man the rest of the way, I'll look at him for this award at the end of the year.

I've seen three Maryland games, too. There's a reason I mentioned the Scott at center possibility twice.

I also went back and watched…

I also went back and watched these minutes. This isn't just based on the numbers. Williams and Johns are a bad pairing because they combine for too many mistakes. When Johns has an experienced four next to him, he's much better positionally and has shown solid rim protection.

Nobody is lobbying for less Dickinson, I'm not sure how you took that away from this post or anything else I've written. As I said on the pod, I'd prefer Williams' minutes are tied to Dickinson's if he's out there. There's no way around playing Smith and Brooks a little less to get Brown more minutes.

I'm not sure what accounts…

I'm not sure what accounts for the difference but there's a much bigger gap on KenPom than in Bart Torvik's projections. KP has UCF 106th and Bowling Green 164th; Torvik has them 128th and 137th, respectively.

UCF is the best team Michigan has faced so far but it might not be by a large margin.

Bad thread title, also there's an entire META thread on site issues started by Seth that's still on the front page. Trust us, we're working on the ad thing; it's annoying us as much as it's annoying y'all, I can tell you that.

That's usually me, depends on the pod. These were mine.

I'm one of those people on Apple Music but not Spotify, so someone may need to copy it over for a lot of people, but when I get a breather a playlist would be a fun thing to put together.
