Going against KenPom is certain death around these parts.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Wind knocked out.||
I feigned ignorance for the sake of humor, but that's a pretty standard way to help someone get their breath back after they've had the wind knocked out, which was the case here.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||I inevitably forget an honorable mention or two.||
|3 weeks 1 hour ago||No offense taken.||
It's a legitimate question. Occasionally I question my work/life choices partway through watching whatever game I chose for FFFF, especially when they involve Rutgers.
|3 weeks 1 hour ago||Welcome.||
The Zook Factor is a catch-all for any terrible coaching decisions, usually on the game theory or clock management side of things but also covering especially poor playcalling.
|3 weeks 2 hours ago||Crappy corners + Carroo|
|3 weeks 2 hours ago||In this case...||
...I'd already closely watched a Rutgers game when they had Carroo and, given his status for Saturday is in serious doubt, wanted to see how they looked without him. I also wanted to see Rutgers play defense against a pro-style team with an iffy quarterback; Wisconsin fit the bill.
I'm also limited by both the strictures of time, the quality of Michigan's opponents, and the availability of video online. UNLV looked bad and is bad; ditto Maryland. Boise/BYU was the only film I could find for BYU. For Northwestern I wanted to see the most recent performance from a redshirt freshman QB. For Michigan State I wanted to know how the hell Rutgers played them close. As for Minnesota, which game wouldn't have given you the sense that Michigan should beat the heck out of them?
I went with Northwestern because their defense is of somewhat comparable quality to Michigan's and the Gophers hadn't played an offense that looks like Harbaugh's.
I realize that picking one game can cause issues, but there's only so much I can do here.

MSU probably leads, ND and OSU and Tennessee are in the mix, Michigan has an outside shot.

..."players with more eligibility" would've been better phrasing, but that referred to DJ Wilson (especially) and Moritz Wagner (longshot). Wilson should see plenty of time at the five, so I chose to cover him in that post.

Thanks for covering me this week.

If you need a workaround, though, there's an easy one. Right click and hit 'open link in new tab' or 'open link in new window' and it'll load a page with just the GIF.

Read it as "uncommitted to Michigan," since editing would require re-inserting the video.
|7 weeks 1 hour ago||Unfortunately, no.||
Also wanted a look at Thorson's most recent game since he's improved over the course of the season, but it definitely took away from what I could get out of looking at the defense.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||He was solid.||
Good arm, decent athlete, in command of the offense. Tough to get too much of a read on his ability because Pioneer made it really easy on Saline; they could throw a quick screen and get a healthy chunk of yards every time.
|7 weeks 1 day ago||WLB||
I'd like to see him go up against a less spread team to see more of him operating between the tackles, but I think he fits best as a rangy weakside linebacker. Pioneer was playing him as the field linebacker (they went field/boundary instead of strong/weak); it was pretty frustrating to see how stubborn they were with their alignment, because I think he would've done even better staying inside with them lifting a linebacker for a nickel so he didn't have to shade over the slot so often. It looked like Pioneer hadn't seen a spread offense before.

I'd fix it in the post, but when I edit it messes up the poll HTML. My apologies to the Yip-Yip.

I'm working on two different posts and two separate outlets jumped the gun on the news. I'm sorry it happened. Some things are tough to avoid.
|11 weeks 3 days ago||That's the best part of it.||
Second-best: Guy to Harbaugh's right who exits the frame entirely.
|12 weeks 1 day ago||Nope||
Who is "Mike Burger"? (Endzone)
The whole point of not naming the guy is that he deserves some level of privacy here. Absolutely no need for open speculation on the board.

There's real football content now and this is stretching the bounds of OT regardless.
