I was at a wedding when the Red Wings won the cup in '97. Someone brought a TV into the reception area and most people watched the game instead of dancing. The bride seemed okay with it, publicly at least. The groom was totally into it.

While traveling in Europe I went to a McDonalds in Venice. It seemed strange to see one in such a place and had my pic taken in front of it - like Harbaugh. He's just being human and reporters aren't used to coaches acting this way.

The scene of him riding through the desert in Lawrence of Arabia is sublime. Definetely worth a watch is you haven't seen it.

This is the first year in a long time that I haven't paid attention to the classics or Giro. I broke some bones in a race in Austin last Winter and since have soured a bit on bike racing.
Cool about BMC. They usually seem a bit suspect in team time trials.

You ripped on a non-informative comment with a comment that offers even less. Well done, sir.

Only three Americans this year is really disapointing.
If Teejay is close to Froome after the TTT then I'll probably start paying attention.

I have a couple dozen Jose Conseco rookie cards. I remember my Dad saying "you can pay for college with them" when I was 10 years old.

Linkage through the middle was terrible for the USA and even worse down the flanks. Usually when Bradley and Beckerman are together along with Brooks behind they can dictate pace (against CONCACAF teams) at the back, but it didn't seem to work last night. Honduras did a great job pressing to distrupt the diamond and Jurgen didn't make the right adjustments. Pinto is very smart and IMHO out-coached Jurgen last night.
Yedlin isn't ready. He was playing out of control was not disciplined. He faded into other players space too much which distrupted the play down his flank. He's much better at a back and as a sub, for now at least. He hasn't played very much lately so maybe he was amped to be on the pitch.
USMNT has been playing better because of patience, ball control and Bradley. This game reminded me of last summer when they were making too many careless passes and tried too many times to break a player loose when it wasn't available.

Also a situation where he is wanted. Hinkie was close to trading for Nik last year. Karl hates playing rookie's and when he was forced to play Nik he hit over 40% from three after the ASB.

They have a ton of assets going forward and with the ability to swap picks with SAC and getting the Lakers pick, they won't need to tank after this coming season. I think this will move Noel for a PG next season.
Of the crappy teams out there i.e. Knicks, SAC, Lakers, etc they have the most assets. Maybe Utah is in a better position.

Hartland High School. When I was there the only thing we were good at was cheerleading. I have no idea if they are good now.

Know who you are interviewing, especially considering Harbaugh is one of the toughest interviews to get and do in sports. This hurts Cowherd much more than Harbaugh. It's a major screw up for Cowherd and it's not the first time. If he still has his ESPN job by the end of the year I'd be surprised.
Kids love playing for coaches that don't take crap and are a bit crazy.

I read this on the Big Lead and completely agree "No one outside the media cares how cooperative coaches/players are with the media."

Does it really matter? This intervew will be forgotten by tonight. It doesn't help, but it also doesn't really hurt. Everybody knows what Harbaugh is like. Hell, I thiink he's kind of an a-hole sometimes but he's our a-hole and we love him.

Nebraska has been awesome for the Big Ten. Keep them. Rivalries are just starting to build with Iowa and Wisc. Their fans seem to like being in the B1G and everyone I talk hates Urban Meyer. Nebraska fans are just like Michigan fans. Seriously fanatic but not dickish like Wisc.
Check out a game in Lincoln and you'll see how good of a program they are.
When NE was added I hoped Colorado would be added as well. Yeah, the Buffs have been terrible but games in Boulder can be pretty cool.

Some of the current commits won't be in the class on NSD.
There will be kids that signed because we were their best option among the offers they had at the time. They were also excited at the camps and jumped on the offer. After some time they will be rethinking some points that are important to them, i.e. distance, weather, fit, major, etc. Committing to UM early is getting these kids higher rankings on some sites, more notoriety and possibly more good offers. In the end, if they are told to look elsewhere it won't be the end of the world for them. Certainly not good form on Harbaughs behalf if it is the case.
We will end up around 22-25 commits, a top 15 class and all needs should be met. How? I have no idea. I guess we have to trust those that are more plugged into the program. Part of me feels like "what is Harbaugh doing?" so I need to remind myself that I'm a nobody and just go with the flow.

It sounds like he earned his offer. If nothing else, it's an inspiring story.

Battle probably has the higher ceiling but Cumberland has had a much better Spring. According to a few sites he is killing it on a team (King James) that's loaded. NBAish body already and can flat out score.
Battle seems like a one or two and done. Maybe this is going to work out for the best.

This helped me: 14 + 5th years + plus attrition = ~25
"#FAB25" means the coaches are telling kids 25 recruits this cycle.
