I've been to about 4 games there over the years and I have more and more fun each time I go. Go to the game, then go to a bar.
The Esso club is always an experience. I was there for that 16-14 Michigan w Purdue in 2004. It was awesome, and the best part was after the game was over, I went back outside to tailgate because those southerners kept going all night!

|4 years 15 weeks ago||Yeah, that's exactly what I'm||
Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to get across. I mean, every ref blows calls. But there is a specific point in hockey to "swallow the whistle" near the end of games and especially in OT. These refs in theory know the importance of these late game situations. That's the point of the "let them play" mentality.
So how on earth does this jackass blow this whistle so quickly? Argh. I'm getting all worked up again.

Money is money. And yes, right now it's probably more in Buffalo.
But look a few years down the road. Buffalo is TERRIBLE. Do you really think Chan Gailey and his regime is going to last there more than 3 years? I don't. So then he'll be out of a job.
But if he stayed w/ Florida, he could develop all that 5* talent they just picked up and most likely lead one of the better defenses in the country. There is no reason in 5 years of almost guaranteed success there he wouldn't get a HC opportunity.
But at the end of the day, he's an NFL guy. Been an assistant in the NFL for the last 12+ years.

I really like Black Heart Gold Pants' take on the video:
Needless to say, I kinda wish I had read this before I started to watch...

This is exactly why Muschamp isn't exactly jumping at other opportunities. He knows he just needs to bide his time until Brown retires and he'll immediately be one of the "best coaches" in the county. Just because he'll be the coach at Texas.

Not for the 1st month of school. That's a great time to be out on the diag. The rumor is all the hot girls transfer to State after September.

How about if you kiss a girl under the arch on the Southeast side of the Diag that will be the girl you wind up marrying?

I never once stepped on the Block M as an undergrad, but as an alum, stepping on it for the 1st time was very satisfying. In an almost mystical way...

|4 years 23 weeks ago||Hmmmm, I know he's a great||
Hmmmm, I know he's a great recruiter and all but ND's secondary hasn't exactly been dominant. Still, he's knows the 3-4 that the Pats run. And always good to see more Michigan men playing/coaching for my NFL team. No complaints, but he has a pretty tall order developing all the young talent in their secondary.

I think we all agree Warren could have used an extra year, but at least he's not looking at a Shazor like free-fall. That was just incredibly depressing on every level.
|4 years 24 weeks ago||I always root against Peyton.||
I always root against Peyton. Starting from his Tenn days. And clearly the Colts are going to be more of a threat than the Jets. But it's hard not to root against NY teams when you're from Boston. Hence, the meteor game.
I think the Pats will be fine next year. The D will get some maturity (will be interesting to see who next DC is though)
Seymour will not be coming back. He's going for a big time contract and the Pats have zero interest in paying that.

No no no - I'm a Pats fan. The Colts and the Jets are probably my 2 least favorite teams. That comment had nothing to do w/ the relevant Michigan players.

Very true - I was thinking less about Hart and Marlin less than Harris and Braylon simply because of who was on the field more.

What's the general take on which is better? I started watching the Ricky Gervais version first and find the Steve Carrell version significantly worse. And I went to high school with John Krasinski...

|4 years 24 weeks ago||Cali||
Kids in college there are freaking out about being able to graduate on time because not only did they jack up costs but they cut classes, so it's getting really hard to fulfill your requirements. The Governator really needs to turn that place around. I can't imagine getting stuck with paying for an extra semester of college because I couldn't get into a required class I needed to graduate

He definitely challenged him to a poly. Said he's been taking them ever since the book came out and passed them all. A scumbag for sure, but an honest one.

But to be honest, would I have had the same passion for the school from such an early age if I didn't have a football team to follow? Maybe when I got older and I could appreciate the school for the school, but there's a lot to be said for good sports teams helping to pull in kids from a young age before they care about academics.

Not that Davis will be able to swing him, but you have to be impressed with the quality of talent he's been able to bring to Chapel Hill.
|4 years 24 weeks ago||Russian River Valley||
Napa/Sonoma is fun but incredibly over exposed. The Russian River Valley (west of Sonoma) is seriously fantastic. They almost never charge for tastings because they don't get the same tourist rush. Most tasting rooms have great people willing to talk to you and explain the wines, not take your 10-15 bucks and rush you out.
