Lacrosse plays their final game Saturday. And both baseball & softball are on the road in crucial series while men's and women's tennis are going for the B1G Tournament title.

I like the NFL. They actually make kids spend more than one year in school. Unlike the NBA, who sucks major talent out of the college game. And in hockey, it is ten times worse. You not only have the NHL to worry about, but the CHL and other junior leagues.

NBA should sack up and make the required years in college 2 or 3 at the most. Obiviously nothing can be done about hockey though. 

Michigan needs to play in the Peach Bowl.

Unfortunately, the men got shut out today against ohio. They still have a great shot in the B1G Tournament and will probably make the NCAA Tournament. 

Softball has the horses to make a run in the NCAAs and Baseball could be a darkhorse. They win the B1G Tournament, they're in. And this is a team that has won 10 of their last 11. 

Also don't forget about Men's AND Women's Tennis who are both playing for B1G Regular Season Championships tomorrow and most likely have all but clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

Let's go back 20 years. Night and day with the stressed importance of recruiting (outside the coaching staff of course). Back then, the only way you'd find out about recruiting would be through a newspaper or a short segment on the news. It's amazing really.

Largest spring game crowd in Michigan history at 50,000. The last really nice day was 2005 where Lloyd Carr caught a touchdown pass on the last play of the game. There have been some really embarassing attendance numbers like 5,500 in 2007. Since MGoBlue didn't bother to give an attendance estimate, I say there was a good 30,000. 

Last year and 2011 were pretty low at 25K because people were spooked by the weather forecasts. I know better by now. Everytime, every freaking time before the spring game starts the weather suddenly gets better.

Next year SHOULD be a real game format. I hope.

What I don't understand is, why couldn't Michigan have had their 2008 spring game at Ford Field? ohio is having theirs at an NFL Stadium due to their stadium being renovated. 

Not that 2008 was a year to remember, AT ALL, but it still broke my spring game streak due to it being invite only for parents and higher up donors. Plus the weather was turrible that day and it showed in the score. They made it invite only due to it being at Saline HS which has a 1K seat stadium and the amount of people that would have showed up due to the new offense would have far exceeded the number of seats. 

I bet if DB was the AD back then they would've played at Ford Field.

Unless it is sold as a "Desmond Howard jersey", they can't put claims on it. Someone can make one though out of custom jerseys though if they have the option. 

That's only if MDen sells "Desmond Howard jerseys". But if you get a custom jersey on there and you choose #21 with HOWARD on the back, they can't do anything about it. The official NCAA website shop allows that. 

MDen has some dumb policy of not putting names of past players on jerseys "out of respect for the players". Even though it is perfectly legal according to the NCAA.

Just the current players names can't be put on jerseys. 

Not a smart business decision by MDen. They could make a fortune selling Woodson and Desmond jerseys alone. Imagine Rice, Rose, Webber in basketball. Morrison, Berenson, Porter in hockey and so on. And I'm a loyal customer to them. They certainly have my card number memorized by now.
