Pistons-Celtics was amazing in the late 80's. Some real hate in that rivalry. As much as I lived and died with the Pistons fortunes and loathed the Celtics, I always admired McHale. A complete player. Great defense, great rebounding, and as you stated, had about a million moves with his back to the basket. His jump hook was absolutely leathal. Along with Ainge, Brad Lohaus was always a great choice to have his face caved in. Damn that was some great basketball! |

| 1 week 9 hours ago | One of the overlooked |
aspects of Gallon's game is Gallon himself. The guy is stout. Most mention him being only 5'8, but he's a thick 5'8. Cornerbacks that he just doesn't zip around aren't able to knock him off his routes because he strong enough to absorb the jam and continue on his way. Worthy of the #1? If he was running out of the tunnel wearing it for the opener, would not have a problem with that. |

Hoke recruiting juggernaut now even trumps graduation / spent eligibility. The debates over who will wear number 2 are null and void as Woodson returns this fall. However, the battle over number 1 will be fierce between AC, David Terrell and Braylon. |

Are we really "beating" staee for recruits? I don't think so, since that would mean state was actually some competition for a recruit. "That's never happened before." Clearly rcmb has members that are only 4 or 5 years old with no knowledge of pre-2008 recruiting. Even if this poster is being sarcastic, it's still hillarious. Welcome aboard Mr. Marshall! |

| 2 weeks 3 days ago | That was a great win. |
Mathews will always have that play, and a degree of course. And Crable. What a beast he was during his senior year in 2007! 90 tackles with 28.5 TFL. He was everywhere that year. In my opinion, he was involved in a couple of images from the great 2006 season that will forever be burned into my brain. Image #1
What a glorious day that was. When Quinn finally did get up, he probably couldn't see. And that was partially due to a giant pelt of sod rammed into to his facemask. The other image (I will not provide picture because of the never-healing wound) is him being called for one of the worst late-hit calls in history on Troy "Duffel Bag O' Cash" Smith in The Game of the century. Congrats to both on graduating. HAIL! |

and WCF is jaded, but a lifetime of what he has exposed us to as fans will do that. For the better part of the last 50 years, the phrase "A fish rots from the head" perfectly sums up Ford's "leadership" of the Lions. I cringe when Michigan men end up in Detroit. Most will deserve better than what they will experience in Detroit. Being able to watch a former Wolverine star more because they are now in Detroit is just me being selfish. I enjoy seeing them elsewhere because they will be treated as professionals in an organization that actually cares about winning. I want to believe again, but this doubting Thomas will have to see it to believe it. Best of luck to Robinson back home in Florida.

said about the #1 jersey for these years it has gone unworn, that it is approaching mythical status (somewhat deservedly so). Some of the fine print on this contract: - Can recruit the Bahamas whenever he deems it necessary. - Unquestioned use of David Brandon's private jet. - Unquestioned use of David Brandon's office bathroom. - Told Fritz Crisler's seat number. - Super-awesome horseshoe pits intalled in south end zone. - Allowed to tailgate up to 5 minutes before kickoff. - Weekly calling of Urban Meyer telling him he faked every defensive call in Florida. |

| 10 weeks 1 day ago | It warms my heart |
when young people can look back and see the error of their ways then turn their life around for the better (hopefully much better in AA). Seems strange that Dantonio and Bollman were not able to convince Drake that he would be the centerpiece of an offensive juggernaut in east lansing.
|
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | Juwan always had an impressive |
post-up game. Even as a freshman just out of high school, he had a great understanding and command of playing with your back to the basket. Webber was such an athletic freak of nature, he could impose his will down low. Howard, was a technician down low and from the free throw lane down, was almost automatic facing the basket with his straight-up, high held jumper. The two of them together were a thing of beauty. They worked the high-low feed to perfection. Howard usually took high percentage shots- of which a great many he converted. Burke already has a place among the many Michigan greats. He will join them on the stat sheets as well. |

comment to me today that Michigan is going to be angry and pissed off about the Penn State loss and will take it out on msu on Sunday. As much as I would love nothing better, I don't know if this team has that in them- yet. This is a young team and young teams don't get angry so much as they get frustrated, and it shows in their play. Hopefully with Burke calling the team's heart lacking will spark something that can fuel this young team the rest of the season. Overall, it has been a great season- one I believe will last late into March. Let's keep the faith and GO BLUE!!! |

|
| 19 weeks 6 hours ago | Agreed. Once the |
O-line gets established and builds on some experience, good things will happen. Maybe that will be later this season, or maybe next. But domination will come, and some lucky RB will be running through gaping holes for 6+ yards a crack. Think early 90's when 3rd stringer Ed Davis was running wild in games. Yes, it was awesome to have Weatley and Powers rolling up big yardage, but a great O-line can make a wheelbarrow look like a Ferrari ( no dis to Davis- he was great back ). |

this win was following the dissappointment of the bowl game. Not sure how many beat-downs like this we will administer in away games this Big Ten season, but ecouraging to see that we didn't let up even when the game was well in hand against a decimated Wildcat team. On a sidenote- what color would you call that on the court? YIKES! NU is probably looking forward to road games this season. |
