The reason his highlight film is so long is because it shows the same plays at multiple angles

I honestly don't think he did it to clear roster space. All 4 were really good recruits and 3 of them saw time as freshman. He wouldn't just drop them for unproven recruits. As much as I hate Alabama and Nick Saban I think he did it to teach a lesson to those kids. Just my thoughts

You can't hit with a shoulder pad or forearm to the helmet? I can understand helmet to helmet being a penalty but c'mon. It's not always done on purpose. Players are flying around and sometimes you can't avoid it.

They don't avoid contact to avoid injury, they avoid contact so they don't commit a charge foul. The charge call is becomming a bigger part of the game and, in my opinion, is getting called a lot more frequently. I don't think they are avoiding contact because of injury.

Maybe this is wishful thinking but I think Hoke will end his career at Michigan. This is his dream job and he is very passionate about Michigan. Just because there are offers on the table doesn't mean he's going to go. I'm sure they will talk about it and clear it all up.

Yes people have been leaving early, but players don't always take a year off because they are afraid of injury. He has to wait another year anyway so why not play football for that year.

The rule is that you have to be 3 years out of high school i believe. You don't have to play 3 seasons. I have no problem with people leaving after their junior year to leave for the NFL, but he has one more year at South Carolina. He can't enter the draft for one more year anyway so why not play and try to win a conference title or a national title?

As he keeps hiring and firing assistants he has to sit down and realize he's the common factor every year and it's not the assistants fault it's his own. His ego is probably too big for that though.



Firing an assistant 2 days after NSD is shady. It seems like he held out so he didn't get even more decommits.

This isn't a knock on our receivers at all, but our best receiver is like 5'8. I don't think anyone will disagree when I say we clearly don't have the best receiving group out there. It's not easy to develop a quarterback that is throwing to small receivers.

Dicky V. Made this game seem like our bowl game except tonight it was Craft instead of Clowney. Craft is a great defender but Dicky V made him sound like the next number one overall pick

I think I was misunderstood. I'm saying that Michigan coaches evaluate talent very well. There have been players we have offered that people disagree with but they end up moving up in the player rankings. They find good talent and dont just look at the star rating.

This just shows how good the Michigan staff is at evaluating players. Denzel Ward has only played one year of football and was very under the radar until Michigan offered. Our coaching staff always seems to find these kind of players.

Hoke has done a great job considering the players he has had. I'm not saying those players aren't good but they don't fit in the system that Hoke excels in. In my opinion Hoke > Kiffin

He has highlights from high school combines and camps playing receiver. I can't find them at the moment though. From what I remember he was a pretty good pass catcher

I don't see a team taking him in the first 3 rounds as a pure kick returner with all of the stupid new kickoff rules in the NFL. The kickoff rules make it hard to be a return specialist in the NFL especially since they have been kicking around the idea of eliminating kickoffs from the game.

I still see him getting drafted late 2nd or early 3rd round as a running back/slot receiver similar to Dexter McCluster

I think he would be rated higher but he mainly played linebacker in high school. I think he will be a great player

The hardest part of watching the game was listening to the announcers. It was all about South Carolina. Clowney got shut down today other than two plays and the announcers continued to praise him like he was dominating the game. Then they give him the player of the game with 4 tackles?! Lewan won the matchup in my opinion

I play college baseball and this morning we had lifting. I just found out the kid that I usually lift with is an Ohio fan. I told him to find a new partner. LOL. GO BLUE! Beat Ohio!

I realize we were playing Iowa but I think our offense looked great saturday. I think it is going to be really hard for the defense to adjust to the different formations and the offense is less predictable. I love Denard but he hasn't been able to throw the ball for the last three weeks so I think it would be difficult for him to come in and play a whole game at QB. I think the fact that Denard wouldn't even carry the ball in his right hand means it might be a little while before he can constantly make good throws. Just my opinion.

I feel like the play at 10:04 in this video would be a great symbolic play for denard!

I don't feel like giving Kovacs #11 is bad. He may only have  a few games left but it is an honor to get to wear one of the legacy jerseys. Not very many people will get to wear one, and you can't argue that he is one of the most deserving candidates

Whether Lewan is wrong or not he's doing the right thing here. If Bellomy read half of the stuff on here his confidence would be at an all time low. Being a team leader Lewan has to keep this team together no matter what. I hope Lewan sticks around next year!

No one knows the extent of Lewans injury. Maybe they should hire you as offensive coordinator, seems like you have it all figured out. There's 2 ways you can go after getting the shit kicked out of you, you can either feel sorry for yourself and fold for the rest of the season or you can put it in your rear view mirror, learn from it and look onto next week. You learn more from getting beat than you do by blowing a team out by 50.  Denard took one hard hit (and he delivered it) he has a full week to recover. You as a fan can give up and fold, but looking at the coaches and leaders of the team they will recover and bounce back.

You can't blame Dave Brandon for this. To be the best you have to play the best. Alabama is a great team and this game will pay off down the road when playing other Big Ten schools (as long as the injuries arent that serious.) Michigan could have played the best game of their lives and probably would have still lost. Alabama is just the better team at this point. The most important thing is that they learn from this and bounce back. We will be fine and improve. If we get another shot at Bama the results will be very different. Go Blue!

I went to the Michigan State vs. Minnisota game this year and dipped the whole damn time. I needed it since I was surrounded by State fans who thought they should be in the national title hunt.... I'm a grizzly mint kinda guy tho!

I go to college in fort wayne, the same town Jaylon Smith if from, and one of his former teammates and good friends plays LB here. I've been trying to get the inside scoop on everyhting but it seems pretty quiet as of now. I was able to go to one of his games this year, and when he comes off the edge he is FAST! 

He tweeted yesterday that "Mich is out of the picture"

I don't care what position he is playing, he's an athlete. He's one of the only recruits that have stayed fully committed through all the coaching drama. He's been recruiting for us and truly wants to be in AA, I'm not going to complain. I'm glad he's coming to AA!
