I love reading posts where the title has been changed already and you get to read the argument from the forum police on the original title.  Makes it almost impossible to read what other Michigan fans think about the topic or if there is more information regarding what was posted.

Im not sure if its been mentioned yet.  In Basketball all officials are independent contractors, they are not tied to one confrence or team of officials like in football.  One of the officials primarily gets contracted by the Big East to offciated games in thier confrence.  If the majority of his work is from one place and he has bills, messing up in the eyes of that confrence is not a good career move.  I'm no lawyer, but I'm sure that has to be a major conflict of interest and would make it all but impossible to be impartial.  He has to much to lose by pissing off the Big East.  John Cahill is the official Im referring about, I'm sure he a great guy and I don't know him to judge his credibility.  Human nature however, is to protect yourself and whether he wanted to or not he is going to be biased.

Now the interesting thing is the articles I could find stating the amount an official is paid ranged from $750 - $2000 per game.  It seems to indicate that pay was based off confrence and game.

I don't get some of you.  In one word you say nothing about Jalen Rose, who admitted to taking money from Ed Martin as well.  Jalen had as much to do with this as the rest, but he was honest about it and didn't try to cover it up.  Webber is not allowed to be associated with the University at all, and as far we all know he may have been told that he can not come to any games and/or do anything that may publicly show support of the University.  Did anyone see the letter sent to him?  Who knows what Weber was told, he's not talking and good for him, it has nothing to do with us as fans.  He made a mistake and is living with the consequences of that mistake.  Look at how big of news it was when Webber hummed part of the victors during a telecast.  Now, imagine the news if he showed up, it would inadvertley show him as supporting the University and assisting in promoting the University.  Something he is not allowed to do.

Please explain how you come to the conclusion as a fan base we have anything to do with the out come of the game if we take a team lightly?  If by sitting at home and saying a team they are playing is a push over effects the teams mind set going into a game, we have more pressing issues to worry about as a fan base.

Nothing wrong with that trophy at all.  It's stylish, and has a distinct look to it.  In 10 years it will also become iconic.  It's not like it's a fake lumber jack that someone called Paul.

It's working, Ive been using it since I caught them cheating earlier today, its a pain switching accounts.  It's the only thing thats kept Denard close, theyve posted like 14k votes since I found out they were cheating.  Votes are coming in right now for them at about 10-20 a second and were getting 1 -2 every second.

Ok, I got sick and tired of watching them make a complete joke out of this.  I know how to get around multiple votes with out having to create a stupid page.  I have it running but Facebook has a mediocre way of stopping it but I can get in about 200 votes before I have to log out, log back in and start all over.  Needless to say I can't keep up with them.  But Im real hesitant to release it.  Do we really want to win this by cheating?

I knew there was away around only voting once without creating a seperate account.   If you have a Facebook Page for your company, website, group or just want to create a new one.  You can then go and vote as the owner of that page.  Like to thank the Texas A&M fans for showing me, seems theres been ALOT of new A&M fan pages created and ALOT of votes coming from them for Swopes.

Denard has exactly a 6,000 vote lead right now.  My guess is they take the top two from this round and have another vote.

I know nothing about basketball so my opinion isnt going to mean much.  However, I think a little rest might do more good than anything.  Not sceintific, but it's safe to say the average starter on this team is running about 3 - 5 miles per game.  You try running 5 miles every 3 days and also add practice in there.  Your body can only take so much, no matter how good a shape your in.

But, I hope they figure it out, what ever they are playing right now is concerning.

Well it could be worse.  We just won a game and some people are about to just give up on this team.  The team had 1, SINGULAR, one game all year where they played a BAD game.  My choice between getting mad or upset about a poor performance is to just remember how awesome this is compared to what not so long ago was the norm for Michigan Basketball.  For those who wish to say thats a losers mentality.  Well, I don't play on the team and if my feelings are somehow effecting how they play, then they should be undefeated.

I tore my ACL my Junior year of high school.  The doctor told me the same thing, only diffrence was the rehab time.  I could just let it heal and stay inactive and I wouldnt miss half of my Senior year of wrestling or I could have surgery. If I choose surgery Id be looking at maybe, being ready with a few weeks left of wrestling.  I of course took the quickest route.  Well Im now also in my mid 30's and should have choose the surgery.

Just to add to this, occasionaly my knee still swells up so bad that I cant even walk without being in unbearable pain.  I've been told a few times now that they need to do the surgery, but I keep putting it off, because I don't want to miss race season. I can't play any sport that requires any long periods of rapid change in direction or stopping.

Im ok with this rule being changed, but only if they get rid of the rule where the offensive player goes out of his way to jump into the defender to draw a foul.

I'm sure Bellomy has the ability to be a descent QB.  But he evidently went to Nebraska unprepared.  Just because he's the backup does not mean you don't practice like your the starter, watch film like your the starter and stand on the sidelines and act like your the starter.  He went into that game and looked lost.  Ya, some of that is on the coaches but more of that falls on his shoulders.  It does not boad well for his confidence at all either.  I'm not sure if Bellomy seen any meaningful playing time he would be able to shake that uncomfortable feeling of the last time he played.  Maybe he can, but Im not to confident.

A win against Wisconsin puts us in the driver seat for #1 again if Indiana losses to Ohio State and also puts us back in control of our own destiny to win an out right Big Ten Championship.  Well Im not routing for either team.  Either way Michigan wins after that game, Ohio State riding a two game losing streak or were ranked #1 again.

People keep talking about rehanging the banners. I'm pretty sure that our self imposed penalties that the NCAA accepted involved vacating those. I want everyone who even entertains that idea to think of your reaction if Ohio State decided 20 years from now to re-claim thier conference championships they just vacated. We did not win any of those things that the banners say we won, we voluntarily forfeited those.

I actually laughed when I read what you wrote.  I was raised by an English Teacher who felt it his life mission to correct every grammar, typo and misuse of punctuation.  I find it comical and similar to a fountain of youth when random people also find these same things their life mission as well.  After years of being corrected, I finally had an idea, so I waited for the next time he corrected me.  The day finally came; it was a Tuesday around lunch time, when he corrected me.  I then replied “well you knew enough about what I was writing to correct me, so you apparently knew exactly what I was trying to convey.”   Because of this, I intentionally use an improper sentence structure and misuse or omit correct punctuation while on the internet.   It is especially comical when you find those whose life mission is to police the internet, looking for anyone they can belittle, insult or fulfill their need for superiority.  As a form of gratitude, I left a few errors in this paragraph just so the errors can be corrected.

Well considering we now have a 3 game losing streak to SEC teams, Im not convinced they suck.

Be the first place I set up an official too, but you have to think that they screen recruits.

Really hard to take these things serious, when they give MSU the Auto Bid for the Big Ten and have them at a 4 seed.  I know, I seen the part about current confrence leader and they are up a half game.  But, if your going to put out some way to early brackets at least make some way to early predictions.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just say.  My opinion is, I don't think he was a great QB.  I would have rather saw him at RB or WR where his talents could have been more benifcial to the team. There's people who may not agree with you, but I'm pretty sure they would respect your opinion.  There is no way anyone who has any knowledge about football would think he was a bad player.

NOTE: My opinion is, I don't know anything about how to play QB, so as far as I know he was by far the best option our team had.  I absolutley enjoyed every single snap (well ok not every) he took as a Michigan football player.

To answer your question, help is not always finacial.  Sometimes having someone who knows what to do when your completley lost is a lot more valuable.  I have charities I support and donate to them based off of what I feel is important.  Livestrong is not one of those charities, but not because of anything negative I heard about the charity or Lance Armstrong.   I just choose to donate to more local charities who have more of a hands on approach.

They can only count 3, there is no limit to how many can enroll early.  The rest just count towards the current class.  There is no scholarship number problem that would make this ok.  Michigan had 6 EE, 3 count towards last years class and the other 3 count towards this years class.

Bray Hoke was a Michigan fan growing up because all of his friends were Buckeye fans.  Safe to say that Webb is a Buckeye fan because his teammates are Michigan fans or Michigan committs.   Just wanting to stand out, it's not the end of the world.

I will agree the scoreboards were beyond horrible.  I also didn't enjoy the way they located the bands, I never heard the Michigan band other than the halftime show and pre-game.  Kinda sucked going the whole game only singing the victors 3 times.  But I still had an amazing time and would go back if Michigan was ever playing in the Outback Bowl again.

Ya, I ended up driving down, costs a little over $300 to drive plus another $200 for a hotel and food, compared to $1400 to fly.  Thats insane, I normally pay about $200 - $300 a ticket to fly to Tampa to see my Dad.

Thought this was kind of neat until I read their definition of value. They add in an estimate each program might bring into the local economy for each home game. In Texas case they estimate 40k fans bring in 10 million of value per game. That seems extremely high

Not upset, actually give the kid some credit.  He gets a call from yet another reporter and it happends to be in refrence to Michigan.  He already knows he's going to Ohio State and drops a hint that hes going to go to Michigan, the reporter runs with it.  The rival fan base gets excited and he gets his first jab in before even attending class.  If a Michigan recruit pulled this we would all be laughing.

Maybe we should go back and change McNabb to a RB too.  He is not a very good sports journalist, I will agree.  He is very talented at writing human interest pieces (I guess that's what you would cal lthem) about the other side of sports.

He's also tied now for the most rushing TD's on the team.  Add to that he's second on the team in recieving TD's.  With 2 TD passes against Ohio he will be tied with Denard for most Passing TD's on the team.

Im not taking anything away from Denard, because I know if healthy he would have used the three games he was out to do some serious stat stuffing.  But none the less it is very impressive that in 3 games Gardner has almost equaled are entire scoring output from one position.

Im thankful I have a TV, because there are at least 2 games left where I can send off one of the greatest Michigan players ever.  I will wait tell his career at Michigan is over before saying goodbye and all the onion stuff.

I'm trying real hard to figure out the scenario where we end up in a BCS game this year, unless it's the Rose Bowl.  Right now were ranked 21st, so we have to move up 7 spots.

As for the SEC I don't see any of those teams moving below Michigan even with 3 losses, so you can take them out of the equation.

Florida State has to lose to Florida and in the ACC CCG.
Oklahoma would have to beat Oklahoma State and lose to TCU or West Virginia.
Texas would have to beat TCU and lose to Kansas State.
Oregon State has to lose to Oregon.
Stanford has to lose to Oregon and beat UCLA.
UCLA has to lose to USC in a close game and lose to Stanford.
USC has to beat UCLA and lose to Notre Dame and also Oregon in CCG.  (this opens another at-large)
Rutgers has to beat Louisville and lose to Cincinnati or Pitt.
As for Louisiana Tech ya they might lose a game I doubt it, so the computers are going to have to help.
Then if any of the 2 loss SEC teams lose 2 games.

Then it comes down to the selection process.

This is almost the only matchup that allows Michigan into a BCS game, KState could lose to Baylor and there is still a possibility but very slim.  There are a few other scenarios but highly unlikley.

Rose Bowl = Nebraska vs Open
Orange Bowl = Miami (Remember FSU has to lose the CCG) vs OPEN
Sugar Bowl = Alabama/Georgia vs OPEN
Fiesta Bowl = OPEN vs OPEN

So 5 open spots assuming there is only one PAC12 team, teams we would be competiting with LSU, Georgia/Alabama, South Carolina, Florida, Texas A&M, Clemson and USC/Stanford/UCLA and Notre Dame.

Now only one of the 4 SEC teams is getting an at-large bid and its going to be Georgia or Alabama with a small possibility of Florida or LSU in the Fiesta Bowl.  Now if there's a PAC12 team available they are going to the Rose Bowl.  So there's Notre Dame, Clemson and Michigan left for 3 open spots.  Notre Dame is an automatic qualifier.  So in this very very very very highly unlikely scenario Michigan would go to the Orange Bowl, Clemson whichever bowl Alabama isn't in and play Georgia and Notre Dame gets a shot at Bama.

Now there is a very real chance Notre Dame passes Oregon and makes the BCS NCG, in that case, were out unless all 3 PAC12 teams lose.

As a professional graphic designer I will have to say your the only person in my field that gets upset about it, that I've ever heard of.  I even asked before posting to make sure I wasn't out of the loop and everyone I talked to said they don't care.  NOW, what they do get upset about is people taking what they created and adding Arial font at the bottom and calling it thier own, that really gets us bent out of shape.  It's not like the athletic department sent him a request for the work ,was inquiring about the work or had a contest to see who could design the best banner.  He freely sent the work in, no promises, nothing that even comes close to spec work.  So am I upset about someone sending in an idea they had on how the banners could be designed and the athletic department creating something similare, no and neither were any of the other people I asked.

As for the designs them selves, I really don't see that much of a diffrence between the old ones and the new ones, enough to say they absolutley took your idea and you should be claiming credit, but if they did that's awesome.
