I don't know where I saw this, but I'm 99% certain it was Leroy Hoard. The situation was 4th and goal from the one, or fourth and two somewhere on the field, and Hoard told Bo, "Coach I'll get you three yards." Later in a 3rd and 5 situation he said, "Coach, I'll get you three yards." LOL. I was in middle school when he played at Michigan and I remember him pounding and bruising every team Michigan played. A couple months back someone started a thread about  "Your All-Time Michigan team", he was my choice for one of the two running back positions along with Wheatley. Sad to see the pain he's going through.

If you really read between the lines you'd know that the shocker is....he's going to choose William and Mary, which is the school he has secretly been planning on attending for years!! Who wouldn't want to play for Coach Jimmye LayCOCK?

Dude, what in the hell are you talking about? Try to understand this: The coaches don't give a damn about ratings!!! Did you catch that? How many of these recruiting "experts" have won conference championships, or national championships in division I football? Mattison alone has enough credentials to re-teach the entire industry of recruiting "experts" on what to look for in a recruit. Picture them in a filmroom, mesmerized by the genius and wealth of knowledge displayed in his analysis. Then again, maybe you should get in touch with the staff and offer your opinions and advice. I'm sure it would be a humbling experience for these unproven characters.

Great story!! I've lived in Tallahassee, FL most of my life and I have always wanted to attend a Michigan football or basketball game. Reading this was a good experience for me, especially  since it surpasses anything I would have imagined happening. Those things don't happen at FSU games. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Well, you stand alone with that belief. There are a million sources that cite the squeaky clean recruiting practices of those programs. Mostly ESPN, but whatever.

You also said he didn't have good hands. It appears he catches the ball pretty well these days. Speed, power, quick and decisive hitting holes, breaks tackles, and catches the ball well.....what more should the #1 running back have? Is he weak at picking up blitzes, or what?

My vision: Two hats. One has the NFL logo, the other is Michigan. He puts on the Michigan hat and everybody shouts, jumping up and down, and congratulating each other. Best recruiting job to date.

It's a cause and effect scenario. Sometimes you recruit an individual and they might commit to your program. In some cases, said recruit unfortunately decommits, forcing you into the process of de-recruiting. Otherwise known as un-recruiting.

I like this question. In the 4 losses, wasn't that same dive play called about 40 times for a total of ZERO yards, with maybe one short yardage conversion out of 25?

Not what I was expecting, but I'm curious how you lose a tooth diving into a swimming pool. I did a belly flop off the 3 meter board once, but all I suffered was a little embarrassment and a great deal of pain.

I'm pretty sure the state of Michigan will hand out a pretty severe penalty without needing the aid of the University of Michigan. As Hoke said, "he will continue to suffer." There is really no need to make his hill any steeper to climb than anyone else that makes the same mistake. Whether he plays against Bama or not, I hope he learns from this.

To support your argument Wolvin, I'd say that there is little if any dropoff from 1 to 7 regardless of which site, or team is analyzing players.

prevatt33, I wouldn't worry about what Saban is or isn't alledgedly doing. He has a smoke screen roughly 800 miles, by 500 miles, and consists of 13 other teams to blend in with. When in the south, do as the southerners do!!

I'm going to take your advice and temper my expectations. I am going to go about my business as usual and not check back in until signing day with the understanding that Green HAS committed to Michigan.

With all these man-beasts being assembled, when future opponents talk about "leaving it all out on the field", they'll be referring to their own blood and body parts.

I can't imagine there is anybody out there that isn't proud of him. Just like when he's on the field, he gave 100% with heart and soul into his speech. He is such an intriguing, genuine, lovable kid. I don't think there is any shortage of superlatives to describe him. Not only would I like my son to grow into a similar mold, but Denard Robinson makes me want to be a better person.  I always think that I'm the biggest Wolverine fan in the world, like many of you do I'm sure, but I can picture Shoelace standing on the sidelines 20-30 years from now with that same smile and shouting Go Blue!! I also loved how he shot down Charles Barkley's opinion that athletes aren't role models. You can't put a value on the positive effect he has on people's lives regardless of age.

I understand he's an avid duck hunter and is taking an official visit to the good people of Duck Dynasty. He knows the value of having quality decoys and a well-made duck call.

Dennis Erickson did it in year 3 at Miami, Saban year 3 at Alabama, and so did Less Miles at LSU. Jimmy Johnson got his championship in year 4 at Miami, and Saban year 4 at LSU.

Michigan is going to win championships with or without Treadwell. The team! The team! The team! Seems to me there are 23 guys already that feel the same.

Morepete, if i'm a high school QB, or a college QB for that matter, I might take the advice of a guy like Trent Dilfer. It's not like Trent is an Al Bundy who relives his days as a high school star and disappeared into obscurity, nor is he a guy who sits at his computer and picks apart the careers of people who make a living doing, and later analyzing, what armchair computer man only dreams he did.

No problem. Living in Florida the huge majority of my life, it's not easy to find Michigan fans. When I do run into them it always seems like instant brotherhood, so I'll listen to the opinions  of anybody who loves UM. Your evaluations differ from the normal "He is an absolute beast" evaluations, which I think is extremely optimistic. Anyway, I enjoy both versions.

I agree with you. I actually appreciate his honest opinions of recruits. It's easy to say everybody that comes to Michigan is gonna be a star, but it's probably not realistic.

I think he visited Bama a few weeks ago, and Michigan a few weeks before that. I just saw that line on 11W and was confused because I thought it was supposed to be hush hush. It says: Henry Poggi set to make his college decision Monday @ 10am.He is the next Michigan commit.  I'm not completely buying into it until Ace, or Sam, or Tremendous  says its GO TIME.
