I think the phrase it is lacking is the ability to go up by two touchdowns,  Purdue was the first B10 game where we did this.  A two touchdown leas take huge amounts of pressure off the defense.  Look at the best defenses in the NFL, when they have a two TD lead they love to take chances and send wild blitzes to force the offense, who is already off of their gameplan, to make mistakes.  Our offense could have helped our D more by being smarter with the ball in the redzone.

As this group grows, they will make fewer young player mistakes in the redzone.

So what it is lacking "Killer Instinct". 


The student announcers in this broadcast were painfull to my ears.  The team looks good against that high school team level competition though.

Lets not forget Tebow had Hernandez, Harvin, Murphy, Cooper and the good Pouncey at center.  Demps is good.  Rainey is still feeling effects from stalking. This Poucey is in the wrong position.  And the OC doesn't seem to know the play book.  And no fullback playing QB equals must see TV.

A lot of the time helmet to helmet contact happens when a reciever braces for the pending hit.  His actions make him lower his head.  The defender is already making his move to put his head across the body of the ball carrier.  And then the reciever's action put himself in harms way but the penelty is given to the defense.

The offense has way too many advantages as it is. 

Now if the defender leaves his feet doing his best Ram Man from Masters of the Universe impersonation, then yes something should be done.

This would be really hard to do because you arre missing the "50" on the field and the straight edge of the press box.  You can clone stamp most of the mullion out but with out those key elements it would never look right.  If you could have framed it up so the mullion was inside of the press box with the sharp corner and edge visible most of the vertical could have been fixed pretty easy(other then the "50").

I have cs5 now with after effects it is awesome.  I have final cut on my mac but I hate apple products so much I don't use it often. Adobe is much better anyway.
