I’d instruct the team to punch the opposing QB in the face on the first play. Have a walk-on do it, get him ejected. The whole game, go on the attack. Jam the shit out of receivers at the LOS, hit running backs as hard as you possibly can, and get in the QB’s face as much as possible. Make the other team think that the DC is fucking insane and wants his players to kill you. Once you have that, their will to play will be significantly less.

I’m in the same boat, as apparently we all are. Just once I’d like to have a comfortable win where I can sit back and laugh as we shred the other team on offense and stone them on defense.

We’d better beat Purdue or my psyche may collapse.

It was an atypical onside kick situation. Calm down; it's not why we lost the game.

I thought special teams were actually a strength today. Sure we missed that XP, but Zoltan kept us in the game by pinning them deep and we had consistently good starting field position with good returns. Really the worst black mark against our special teams is not expecting that onside kick, and you can't fault them for that, really.

Not a bad choice. A quick search of Wikipedia shows me that the only other FBS conferences with all-public schools are the MAC and WAC.

I'm glad we have him out there and throwing. He needs the experience, clearly, and sometimes the only way you get better is through adversity. Now that he's gone out there and thrown those interceptions, the coaches have some things to show him in film that will make him a better backup QB.

6 wins is the new lower boundary for this team. Anything less is a failure (and will cause us to hear about Rich Rod on the "hot seat" all offseason). 6 wins and a bowl game shows progress from last year, but not a lot. 7 wins is good, 8 wins is great, 9+ is amazing. And if we get 12 I'll shave my head.
