If I understood his recruitment correctly, Doles had the opportunity to commit long ago but didn't. So either Doles didn't quite feel comfortable enough with Micghigan to commit or he waited too long hoping for more offers or the desire to do officials. Either way, that was his decision and now he made a good choice to play at NW. At the end of the day, it's not a loss for Michigan.

Let me clarify that if he want's to run both at the same time, he'll need Parallels or VMware. Otherwise he will have to reboot back and forth if he wants to use boot camp. Both will still mean he needs to purchase Win OS.

 If you need to run Windows on your Mac, you can and easily. It will cost you the price of the virtualization software and Windows OS but it will give you the best of both worlds. An internet search on using windows on a Mac will give you all you need to know.

On a side note, I was given the gift of $$$ to buy a mac book. I like Macs but when I broke it down, I was able to buy a PC tower, lap top, itouch and some other items with what it cost to buy a Macbook pro refurbished from the Apple store. And in today's age, there are still great editing software for the PC. Apple just integrates it with their computers. You can't go wrong either way. It will just depend on what you want to spend.

Would like to see him do this with a guy in his face and doing so in a game like situation where he has the ball passed to him. He knows his back yard. A different setting would also be nice. Outside of that, I hope to see him mature as a player next year and take on a bigger role. He has the making of a great player.

How many times have seen a Southern Kid with Michigan in his list of 5 with the other 4 being Southern schools and Michigan eventually getting him? I can't remember one though maybe there might be one or two. I remember a few during the RR days but they eventually decommitted to a Southern School.

But here's one sure thing about this supposed move by Narduzzi. He obviosly likes to coach for scumbags!

And his success isn't automatic. Monte was heralded as a defensive genius. He didn't fare so well at Univ Of Spoiled Children. Why?

Michigan had a GREAT D Coordinator by the name of  Scott Shafer. But Mich had a head coach who neutered him. Maybe Lane has the same affect on those he brings in?

One other thing. USC will always recruit talent. It has a certain gravitas not many schools enjoy.

USC is the place to be if you want to play football and boogie down with those in the music industry.

He'll make some serious connections. Ones he would never have made at Michigan or Vandy or FSU.

I don't take much into ranking undergraduate schools.  I believe anyone can get a good education at any university if they apply themselves. Unfortunately for you, US NEWS ranks USC a few notches ahead of the almight U of M. I only post this because I am guessing that you do care about superficial rankings. And while I know many people like to tout that having a U of M degree is great because of the alumni base, the same goes for SC. The bottom line is that only the ignorant will scoff at a USC degree.

The only one I know of is the Halloween one at the Black Students Association party.

There have been a few shootings outside of campus.

AS far as crime is involved, crime is an issue on all college campuses, not excluding Ann Arbor.

While obvious, Big 10 play will really show what this team is made of as the team will be tested by consistent talent on the other side of the ball.

One note in regards to Mitch McGary.

I hope he starts to settle down,  gets a better grasp of the college game, limits the fouls and blossoms as a force under the basket.

We have seen glimpses of that that already but if he can find a level of consistency then UM will have a nice inside combo of Morgan and McGary. The icing on the cake is if Horford can come back healthy and stay healthy. The injury Gods seem to have picked Horford as their whipping boy.

That team had an experienced QB, RB, WRs and line coming back.  Not much was going to change with the team. Lewan would be coming back to a team with a new QB, no sure fire RB or WR and a depeleted OL.

Again, all things point to Lewan leaving. Great if he stays but if I am in his entourage, I tell him to move on to the NFL assuming he's a top 10 pick.

Hoke said that Norfleet loves to play football. Loves to practice. He's a coaches wet dream. Norfleet showed he belongs on the field and had played CB in HS SO and JR year so the position is not new to him. HOke did mention he's not the biggest guy but he REALLY REALLY loves to play the game. I can't wait to see him play during the bowl game.

The program isn't dependent on one player, let alone twowho haven't played a down in college. While Michigan had the vision to see that he is a special player before anyone else did doesn't matter. The kid wants to explore so let him. The consequences were explained to him. Now that he has more attention it's only obvious and understandable that he would want to look at other options. He needs to make a decision that is in his best interest. And if he does move on with the other visits, I would hope and expect Michigan will move to cultivate a stronger relationship with others who might fill his place. All is fair in love, war and recruiting.

Denard is most likely faster than Braxton when focusing on track speed. But football speed plus vision with the ability to juke and take angles and fend off defenders? There is no doubt that Braxton is FAR superior than Denard,imho. Braxton's vision to avoid and juke defenders is simply outstanding. Michigan is going to have to seriously work on their tackling ability for the OSU game because if Michigan falters, Braxton is going to make fools out of the Wolverines.

Let's look at yesterdays game stats.

Denard: 24 rushes for 235 yards. 9.8 y/c 59 yards longest run/ 8-16 105yds passing

Braxton:16 rushes for 186 yards. 11.6 y/c 72 yards longest run/ 7-14 127yds passing

You can decide but putting teams aside, I'd take Braxton over Denard in a heartbeat.

1. Invest in snow tires first and see how your car handles the winter. That will be the most cost effective solution instead of putting down thousands of dollars and locked into a financing agreement for 3 to 6 years.

2. If snow tires do not do the trick, then next year start looking for a car again. All wheel drive is preferable in snow conditions, obviously. Subarus are good ans so are Audi's. A Subaru won't damage your wallet as much as an Audi will. I would also look into negotiating an extened warranty as car repairs on both are not pretty.

3. Always test drive a car more than once and in differnt conditions if you can. If you live in your car as most salesmen do, pay close attention to what ammenities the car has, comfort of seat, which is hard to determine with just one test drive so take several test drives many months prior to when you think you want to purchase or lease if your mileage allows.

4.Check car buying services prior to buying. Costco also has a car buying program if you are a member.

5. Investigate used cars especially Certified factory pre-owned cars that typically include extended warranties (these cars will be more expensive than non CPO but you can still negotiate on them as they have bigger profit margins on them than a new car).

It will be interesting to see how this all translates on the field this season. I hope it gives the team a spark that they wouldn't have had otherwise because they are going to need that spark in the first game against Alabamy.
