|3 years 20 weeks ago||First of all, I'm honored you||
First of all, I'm honored you think I write well enough to even be compared to Coastal Elite. I've always really enjoyed his/her posts, and this one in particular was composed quite nicely. Sadly, I am not his/her MGoAlter-Ego...perhaps if I had Coastal Elite's insight I'd finally get to 100 points.
Secondly, my name is Pedot; it's Polish. I understand what my username looks like, but as I've told multiple users, that's not the intent of the username. In fact, the content of my posts are never debased, so quite frankly I don't care what you or others think about it.
|3 years 20 weeks ago||Paging Seth! This is the best||
Paging Seth! This is the best content-driven diary entry I've read in awhile. It's informative, topical, easy to understand, and could easily stand next to recruiting class updates to provide deeper analysis of how Michigan is doing in comparison to her peers (In fact, it'd be awesome if that happened). Absolutely love this. I hereby nominate Coastal Elite for Dear Diary shoutout.

I actually agree with you. Every time I visit 11W I come away with a new-found respect for their bloggers. And while I can't necessarily say the same thing for their forum slappies that act like typical ohio fans, I do appreciate the site's overrall feel, formatting, and well-researched postings on the main page. I think it's hard to maintain such quality without charging for the blog (a la this site or 11W), but I do think many of our diarists provide for the same type of reasearched-based topics that end up on 11W's main page. Now if only we could stop the recent overrunning of trolls on this site...

|3 years 37 weeks ago||Yeah, I'm not sure if they||
Yeah, I'm not sure if they would leave or not, but I'm not sure that Johns Hopkins would join as a lacrosse affiliate either. I think it would certainly be an interesting move for the conference if UVA and Hopkins were linked to the B1G in some fashion, though, and I definitely find it intriguing that both are being speculated as potential members/affiliates. I stand by my post, however, in that even without UVA, the supposed B1G lax conference would be strong and competitive.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||Well if we brought in UVA and||
Well if we brought in UVA and UNC as has been widely speculated, and added Hopkins as an affiliate for lacrosse (again this is pure speculation), the B1G would have a damn good and competitive lax conference. Maryland, PSU, OSU, Virginia, and UNC all finished in the top 20 in lax rankings last year. So, I disagree that Hopkins would dominate.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||Hey Magnus, how does a guy||
Hey Magnus, how does a guy like Tommy Doles compare to Mason Cole? I know that the coaches really like Doles, but he seems sort of undersized for his projected position. Perhaps I'm wrong. Doles also seems sort of important to the recruitment of Drake Harris...Curious what your thoughts are. Thanks
|3 years 38 weeks ago||How is Minnesota still||
How is Minnesota still ranked? They've now lost 4 straight
|3 years 38 weeks ago||This one is definitely||
This one is definitely debatable, as a Minnesota win would make both Wisky and the Golden Gophers 4-3 in the conference. My general thought process, however, is to root for the home team in these kind of games. Doing well on the road is really hard in the B1G, so the team who is able to steal more road games will likely come out on top...hence my reason for saying Wisconsin..like I said, though, I could see a case for rooting for Minnesota as well.

Okay, I hold a rivals account, and this isn't even confirmed. Basically, the Bama people have been expecting/wanting Poggi to visit for weeks without it acutally happening. Additionally, neither Henry or his father have commented on this latest rumor...please hold off on badtalking the kid

i know. still annoyed that a seemingly relevant post regarding a famously ripped jersey at the university of michigan would be tagged 'offtopic' in this thread. anyways, just as 'solo dolo' doesn't necessarily mean anything about smoking bud, 'pedo' isn't necessarily about being a pedofile...so it's a learning experience for both of us.

Made WELL prior to the whole Jerry Sandusky news breaking, it was intended to satirze Hoke's recruitment success in ohio with that of Pedobear. Hence my somewhat creepy tagline. If I could've ever gotten my avatar to upload, it would've show pedobear with a winged helmet on.
At the time, this was hilarious to me.
I no longer find it funny...my sense of humor has evolved, and Jerry Sandusky ruined everything for everyone. Blurbtown.

Actually impressed with MSU's play. North Carolina is a legitimate title contender, and to keep it fairly close is comendable for Sparty. I thought that the bigs for MSU played very well, but they'll need to have better guard play if they want to make any runs come tourney time. MSU really only played 5 bad minutes at the end of the first half....otherwise this was a close game. Go B1G 10!

|5 years 11 weeks ago||I agree completely. I think||
I agree completely. I think that there are a lot of incentives that would reward those conferences and teams who schedule more like college basketball does: play anybody, anywhere. Not only would it give everyone at least one legitimate preseason opponent, but the fans would get exciting games, the media would go crazy, and if it's home and home the schools would benefit from one more large game.
I feel the biggest roadblock to this is the incentive for a perfect season....I wish the BCS would reward a more aggresive preseason schedule for the power conferences.
|5 years 11 weeks ago||It's okay, but I've always||
It's okay, but I've always been hoping for some type of preseason like the following for every year:
Home and Home with:
National Rival: Notre Dame and SEC/PAC 12
Home games against:
Regional Opponent: Like one of the directional schools (Eastern, Central, Western, etc...) and a Service Academy
DB has put us in a situation where we kind of do this next year (we play Alabama, Air Force, and Notre Dame....and likely at least one of the directional schools). I guess this is what I wanted to see every year from 2012 on out. It gives us good range of football from the national stage down to the local interests, while saluting those who serve our country.

|5 years 12 weeks ago||I would love this. I feel||
I would love this. I feel like we should be taking a QB every year, even if that QB potentially might never play that position at Michigan. With Devin Fuller you give him the opportunity to prove himself like Denard, and if it doesn't work out then have him easily switch to a RB or slot type receiver.
|5 years 12 weeks ago||A-maize-ing||
This video is seriously great. You just don't see coaches sit down and have these types of conversations anymore. Coaches like Tressel and Saban will cheat whomever in order to achieve a sliver of accomplishment....Here's to hoping Hoke has a lil Bo in him
|5 years 12 weeks ago||I noticed that as well||
I really would've liked to see Morgan put on even more muscle than last year. Have you heard anything about how Morgan's offseason is going? He was able to provide some needed inside defense and rebounding last year, especially late in the season, but definitely still had a lot to work on in terms of post presence.
|5 years 12 weeks ago||This is good news||
Horford had flashes of brilliance last year, but definitely needed to get his weight up
|5 years 12 weeks ago||WTF||
Why would the BTN replay a game that OSU just forfeited?
|5 years 12 weeks ago||Classiness||
I've really appreciated Coach Hoke, as well as the player's classiness at this event. Not only have they looked extremely presentable...lots of times donning a block M lapel pin...but they have also responded to questions about OSU and MSU in an extremely professional way.
I can't say the same about mr. dantonio from lansing:
"They can throw a parade down there for the new coach if they like. We prefer to prove it on the football field." - Mark Dantonio, when asked about the recent recruiting success of Michigan coach Brady Hoke.
