Michigan Replay/Inside Michigan Football was filmed at the Crisler Production Studio which is currently being constructed upon, just like the rest of Crisler.  Hopefully it will be done pretty soon. Right now they're doing the football post game pressers in the visiting media room instead of the studio. I can see it making everything more difficult, especially  to get that 24 hour turnaround.

You do realize it's more than just going from jpeg to png to gif to tiff to eps, etc, right? They don't just need different files, they need different images optimized for different uses. As someone who has very limited experience, I can tell  you it's kind of a bitch trying to make sure something looks consistent when produced by RGB color and printed in CMYK. 

There logo fundamentally changes for different media beyond just how the file is encoded. This isn't something that can be done with an Automator tast.

I thought "grit," "son of a coach," "loves the game," and getting compared to Wes Welker were all just non too subtle euphemisms for being a white athlete.

Arrington was one of those guys who you knew was good and showed flashes to confirm that belief, but didn't quite get there while at Michigan. I think he could be a decent receiver option in the NFL, and he'll probably  be productive if he can have Brees throwing to him.

I agree that Rosenburg probably had a story in his mind and gathered facts, quotes, stories, etc. that supported that story.

I don't agree that there is some coordinated attack by the Free Press to attack Michigan. I don't get what incentive they have for that. I think it's more likely that "Rodriguez is on the Hotseat" stories are more interesting to the average reader than "Rodriguez is making progress"

Also, I mentioned to some folks that I thought your comment on Birkett was the most fair and intelligent in the thread so far.

Birkett at the press conference was a little much, but well within the bounds of standard journalism. His story afterward was fair and had the facts laid out fairly plainly.

The off the cuff, rather confusing joke he made about Dorsey in a live chat earned him a reprimand and he apologized.

Beyond those two incidents, I really don't see how he has maligned the Michigan program and is part of a cabal to destroy Michigan. I haven't interacted with him too much, but he always seemed bright and professional.

Amarker got 7 years. Ellerbe got  4. Beilein did something in 2 years that they couldn't do in 11. Sure last year was disappointing, but that was only because 2 years ago was so surprising.

Beilein has put together the best back to back recruiting classes since the late 90s (jamie mac can back me up on this). I'm willing to give him a few more years considering he has over 600 wins, many of those coming in a tougher basketball conference than the Big 10.

I'm still giggling about this game. I looked back at my twitter stream from the game and it want from resignation to subdued hope to overt hope to fucking exuberance. This was the best baseball game I've ever been to.

Congrats to the team. Unlike the team, I almost gave up and left after NU got out to the 14-0 lead, but I heard a cheer from the crowd and decided to stay and see if Michigan could put up the fight. They never gave up, and kept on counter punching until their captains were able to save the day.

The FNL videos of Gardner weren't highlights. They were every play he was involved in... which usually looked highlight films because he's goodt.

Tim and I got season passes for basketball (media and photographer respectively). Tim got passes for football on a game by game basis. He wasn't credentialed for ND, PSU and OSU IIRC.

For non-revenue sports, I usually just shoot the SID an e-mail and they're happy to have me.

I honestly never thought "man this is some horrible officiating" during the game. I feel they got some calls wrong, but nothing was consistent or egregious enough to register with me. Maybe I've just become desensitized, but I thought it was an above-average officiated college game.

I think the money he's given and scholarship he's endowed to the University speak more than just a one line thing on a football introduction.

I'll ignore the condescending tone and douchey nature of this comment and just go to facts:
I was at the game. The crowd never booed the team. They gave the refs hell and booed them, but never the team. I'm not sure if you're confused or just making stuff up, but stop it.

Most, if not all, of the kids taking their officials were at the basketball game. At halftime they had a spirited discussion of whether a carbonated soft drink ought to be called soda or pop. It was pretty funny.

For what it's worth, those aren't highlights in the Friday Night Lights segments. It's basically every relevant play for that player (e.g. we cut out runs by the halfback).

Also, the "reports" that he's not a good runner are ridiculous. I've been to at least 4 of his games this year, and almost every play he can go out and run for at least 10 yards, and he can make moves I've only seen in video games.

That said, if he could redshirt, that'd be rad.

The idea that Cissoko stayed home for an attitude adjustment is idiotic. You're not going to leave a player who can play at home. Especially with how little depth M has at corner.

Ricardo Miller really wasn't all that impressive against Inkster. Small sample size and all that, but the really good players at the high school level absolutely dominate, and Miller certainly didn't do that.

I'm sure he'll be a fine college player, but he's not that elite, in my e-pinion.

You were rude and dismissive to a poster who has made a lot of good posts, more than you. He happens to be an MSU fan, that does not make him a lesser being, and certainly doesn't mean that your opinion holds more weight than yours. In this case, the points were doing exactly what they were supposed to do.

It's a very hackish, should I say, Enlightened Spartan style. Seeing those along with the topic (can we all just stop talking about MSU) made me want to pull this, but there were stats and analysis, so I'll just register that this is acceptable, but not a model worthy of emulation.

Diaries, like the one removed this morning, that are more flamebait than anything don't do anything to raise the discourse and just result in people ripping into each other.

I'm not sure that this can be chalked up to a growing community teething, either. If you look, most of these people have been around for a while. Most of the really new people are older folks on a newer identity.

People don't have the right to post diaries. Diaries are there because there is often helpful, interesting information or analysis out there that would otherwise not get out. If there is something that we decide isn't up to quality standards or is just pure flamebait, it's going to diasppear.

The two punt returners that get mentioned at the top of the list most of the time are Matthews and Warren, the #1 CB and WR. Punt returns, as we found out last year, are pretty damn important.

It was a 4 team scrimmage, and I think the coaches can decided between themselves if they want the QBs to be no contact or not.
