It's my hometown and Taco is playing for the ole alma mater - North didn't even exist while I lived there.  Anyway, my folks live about half a mile from the field, so I'm thinking it might be a perfect spot for an MGoBlog pregame shindig (post game too, maybe).  Having a Michigan themed tailgate for a HS game in the heart of Buckeye country might be the best idea of all time.  I don't know if we can contact each other directly on here, but if anyone figures that out, and is interested, feel free to shoot me a message of some sort.  Otherwise, I'll figure out some details and toss a post up when the time gets a little closer.  Cool?  Cool.

Like Jaron, I grew up outside of Cbus (Pickerington) as a UM fan.  My experience was a little bit different though since it was during the Cooper era.  The suckeye fanatics were no where near as annoying as they are today.  Your general non-true sportsfans could not care less about OSU.  Now that they had some success, EVERYONE jumped on the wagon.  Way too many uninformed fanatics running around that town nowadays. 

Also, I never had any trouble finding fellow UM fans back in the day.  I haven't lived there for over ten years, so I would be curious to know how prevalent UM fans are nowadays. 

I thought for sure Snyder would get it and Hoke or the Baylor coach would be the runner-up.  Not sure how Gundy came away with it.  I thought the cowboys were picked to do pretty well pre-season.  I always thought this award went to the coach who did the most with the least or went exceedingly above the teams expectations.  Oh well, next year Hoke will need to do less pointing and more ranting about being a MAN!

The season Morris tells all kinds of big ten talent to GTFO his court.  Amazing season, fellas.  Work hard, bulk up, and come out swingin' in the fall.  I don't remember the last time I was this excited about the next years basketball team this far away from it begining.  OK, maybe two years ago, but that was different, right?  I like every piece that we got coming back, and can't wait to see the extra scoring threats that we got coming in.  It would be great if Horford and Evan could pack in a few more pounds to help out Morgan (if they grow an inch or two, that would be ok, too).

everyone is forgetting/overlooking some of the young talent already on the team,  Everyone was ga-ga over Christian this time last year and he ended getting beat out by Avery during the season.  Avery definitely struggled on some coverage assignments, but he was a true Freshman with GERG as a coach.  So, I look for a lot of improvement from both of those guys under a new system and coaching regime.  I think Christian probably struggled a bit with the mental aspect of the game, because he seemed to have the right set of size and physical abilities to excel at DB. 

combine a year of experience for those guys, the return of injured players with some highly qualified fresh faces and next years secondary could (should?) be a HUGE upgrade.

Yes his biggest strength is his dual threat, but he proved this past year that he can throw the ball.  Yes, he made some awful reads in the passing game which resulted in interceptions, but you have to remember that he probably spent a lot of practice time through the weeks working on running plays.  all I'm saying is if he is put in the situaltion where his primary job is to read defenses and throw the ball, then that is what he will work on the most in practices and I think that will result in fewer interceptions.  I just don't see why he can't continue to develop his game at Michigan.

I am not one of those super anti-Miles people, but I do think Gruden would be a better hire than Les.  his zest for the game is incredibly infectious.  Get him around a bunch of young men who are willing to buy in and the results will be positive.  Also, I think he would be able to adapt his offensive style to the talent around.  Also, he's fuckin' Chucky, Dude!
