It also cost us at least one, (MSU) possibly both (ILL) losses that year due to Henson's poor play that Brady could not dig us out from. Not a great idea if you have a clear starter.

In the even years, UM has 5 (meh) home B1G games.  Adding a home marquee BCS team in the even years  will require a return away game, but UM can't "afford" another away game (and only have 6 home games total) on the odd years to make up for it.

Though much more likely MSU's loss would come at Iowa, thus eliminating them from the 3-way due to being 3-2 in division (UM and NU 4-1) then giving UM the nod due to the head-to-head win.  This could actually mean UM could have the division wrapped up before the Ohio game, and a loss to Ohio could lead to a rematch in the B1G title game!

With few exceptions, every B1G team will now need two home body bag games every year.

I bet Dantonio's pledge to go on the road to WMU, EMU and CMU seems pretty short-sighted nowadays.

I think the rule is ABC has at least one B1G game at 3:30 every week, reserved for a marquee game.    With Iowa/Nebraska playing Friday, the games November 26 are:

OSU at UM

Illinois at Minnesota

MSU at Northwestern

PSU at Wisky

Purdue at Indiana

Unless Northwestern/MSU is for the Legends division title the only other game big enough would be Wisky/PSU.   If UM and OSU are both highly ranked I can see ABC/ESPN lobbying hard for the late kickoff.

There are billboards up all over Chicago highways proclaiming the wildcats as "Chicago's Big Ten Team" so they are advertising.  One would think they would do better to hype single games or packages than season tix as this point though.

Like every 1-2 hours.  (much less frequent than the El) So while you can easily plan your trip there based on the schedules, getting home may be rougher wehen you don't know exactly when the game gets out.

I thought the BTN's deal was they had to have each team on it at least three times, with at least one conference game.  Looks like UM will only be on it twice (Umass and Purdue).  Not that I'm complaining, just wondering if the rules changed or we got an exception this year.

Don't forget the snacky cakey schedule (unless it's changed drastically) that includes ND and 3 tomato cans at home (maybe SDSU is .75 tomato can), no PSU, and OSU at home.  The dirsuption of another coaching change would be devastating to an amazingly talented, experienced and deep team.

Twilight's like soccer. They run around for 2 hours, nobody scores, and its billion fans insist you just don't understand.

They likely set the single-game price in order to sell the 3-pack.  I can see a scenario where the packages sell out and the UConn single game does not go onsale. 

MSU is going to be your best value - the other good Big Ten schools like Illinois and Purdue are going to cost a ton more out of state.  Why not UM-D or UM-F with plans on transferring after 2 years?

I got tix from mgoblue.com for the '08 PSU game too and it was a near disaster.  Bought the tickets, booked a flight, then heard the next day that they oversold and my order would be cancelled.  It took several strongly worded emails to Marty Bodnar to get the order placed again.  Knowing it's already a night game and the problems last time makes me doubt they'd put them up to the public again.

I think this was ep 15.  There are 4 (.5) more hours.  The finale on May 23 is now bloated to 2.5 hrs.  No way they use that extra 30 mins to wrap up anything useful.

In my experience. New grads flock to both obviously but LP is more adult with much more higher end theater, world-class restaurants, etc. Lately I don't spend much time in either (live in the burbs now but was in Bucktown for 6 years) but I stay as far away from Wrigley as I can on weekends. Most parts of LP are at least tolerable most of the time.

This actually happened here in Chicago last year when UM was up by double digits on Clemson in the 2nd half - they cut away to another game, only to cut back with a minute or so left and UM up by only 1. There is no reason in today's world of 500 channels for one station to have to share 4 simultaneous games.

I still would prefer more Opong-Owusus.

I grew up in Lansing and rooted for MSU until about 3 years ago when their hostility became unbearable. 0% chance they would root for UM in ANY situation.

If you grew up in Michigan you likely have WAY more friends who went to MSU than OSU. The Sparties are annoying during game week but for the most part they are good people. The Bucks are obnoxious 24/7/365.
