Except the WWE is a story based form of entertainment whereas sports is a competition that is supposed to be legitimate. Winners and losers don't matter in the WWE because you know in the end it's just advancing the story. Winners and losers do matter in professional sports, so when a league shows a blatant disregard for objectivity I can't watch any more. I honestly couldn't even name half the players on the Pistons anymore because I just don't watch the NBA.

That game was horribly rigged. The Kings outplayed the Lakers for the entire game and lost because of made up fouls combined with blatant no-calls. This is nothing new in the NBA though. Anyone here old enough to remember the phantom foul that cost the Pistons against the Lakers in 88? It should have been three in a row for the Bad Boys.

The way I view it is I want Sparty to win when they aren't playing us because it makes it all the more satisfying when we beat them and the couches go up in flames.

His playcalling is terrible. Ray Rice just does not get the ball enough and he overuses play action without running first to set it up. That offense should be very good with the talent they have and not mediocre like it has been.

Kovacs seems like the perfect fit for the kickoff team. His instincts and sure tackling will help him land somewhere.

I know that most will take this as untrue, but I work with a family member of Devin and he said that the family thought the redshirt was for sure. He did imply that a highdraft grade might pull him into the pros after next year anyway.

So let's recap Alabama has had the #1 recruiting class in the nation three of the past four years and their "down year" was still a top five class. It was a penalty and a game changing one. Unfortunately a call there would not have saved us from a beating, but it might have brought the score significantly closer. It would have at the very least taken a touchdown away from them.

I was saying the same thing, That was a terrible angle to go from. Another telling thing is the guy closest to the foul pole reacted as if it were a home run too.

I really wish the NCAA would come down on the SEC. It's pretty obvious at this point that there is a lot of shady business going on down there and they just ignore it. Ohio and USC both got hit for stuff that is relatively minor compared to what Alabama and Auburn are doing. While schools from other conferences are lossing scholarships and postseason play the SEC is winning MNCs and oversigning like there's no tomorrow.

Relative to the portion size and price of Zingerman's it's cheap.

I understand your issue with Maize and Blue, but I think you went over the top by comparing it to cheap lunch meat from the super market. I am a die hard Maize and Blue guy in the AA deli wars so take this for what you will, but this is my personal opinion of them.

1. It's perfect "college food" by that I mean large portion size, relative price and location make it preferable to Zingerman's to a student on a budget.

2. The food isn't the same quality as Zingerman's, but then again that's like comparing the food from a small time local steak house to something you'd get at a five star restaurant. I LOVE Maize and Blue's sandwiches.

3. It's awesome game day food. I can get a sandwich there around 1030ish before a noon game and be full until the game is over. My pregame ritual when I'm in Ann Arbor always involves going there first.

At the end of the day if you want something that's going to be equal  to the high end delis in New York City then you go to Zingerman's and you pay high end deli price. If you want a huge sandwich that tastes damned good without waiting in a long line and paying top dollar you go to Maize and Blue. Personally as a college student with a crappy part time job I fall in the second category.

Out of curiosity what sandwich do you order there? My personal favorite is #28 minus onion.

Many man tears where shed that day and I'm holding them back now just thinking about it. That was the loudest I've ever cheered for anything. I was so happy for Brock and the progress he has made. For all the things I love about Michigan the help they gave to the Mealer family and in particular Brock may be the best. I'll always have a soft spot for both Mike Barwis and Rich Rod for going above and beyond to help Brock.

This is a little premature IMO. We have looked good, but we don't even control our own destiny. We could win out and still not win the division. I think we probably finish 2-2 or 3-1 though we do have some tough games.

I just looked at it on my computer again and it still looks too close to overturn. The only angle it looks like it might touch is the diagonal one, but on both straight horizontal angles you don't see the ball and it looks too close to call. Without seeing the ball I just don't see how it's indisputable. I understand how it might have touched, but I just don't think it was indisputable and that's the key distinction that needs to be made. It's not "oh it might have crossed we have to give it to them." The replay needs to be "clear and indisputable" evidence to overturn the call and I don't see.

I watched it on a 47" 1080p TV the first time and the second time on a 20" 720p computer monitor and neither time did it look indisputable. Had it been called TD on the field I wouldn't be saying a word, but on a play that close I think the officials call should have stood.

You can't even see the ball on any of the replays. Terrible call because there wasn't indisputable evidence to overturn. All you see is the Wisconsin player's hands. It looked close, but the ball was invisible and therefore they shouldn't have made the call. The ruling on the field should have stood.

We played our offense similar to the old Wing T, but we were running shotgun mostly as opposed to the under center Wing T. I think it was just Urban Meyer using a recognizable name for a formation that was similar, but not identical.

First of all he's an asshat because that ruins any fun in the game.

Generally for defense I run a 3-3-5 and zone blitz the crap out of opponents because they find it hard to adjust to all of the different angles and coverages.

Against this specific guy I would run some sort of contain play which should put the DE's outside and have a linebacker spy. Control the linebacker and shadow the running back. Alternatively you could run zone coverage plays where people are playing a shallow outside zone like a cover three. I also like running cover one since it puts a man on the runningback and also gives a linebacker in zone that you can control.

I think the run defense could possibly be improved just because Demens is stronger against the run (supposedly) than Ezeh. I also don't think A. Robinson is as good as the three headed Sparty monster we faced last week. They could be solidly average on the run with a well above average passing day against us. i'm just hoping our offense executes.

Webber is the best player we've ever had. All the extracurricular nonsense aside he was the most talented Michigan basketball player of all time in college or in the NBA. He's a future NBA hall of famer and will go down as one of the most intelligent and well rounded power forwards of all time. He had incredible agility to pull off moves in the post and I don't think I've ever seen a 4 pass as well as he could.
