if you are using him to run the ball or as the fake on a play action pass.  The way Borges used him in the game was primarily as a running QB.  When Devin was in it was going to be a pass most of the time.  The fact Borges hardly if at all used Devin and Denard on the field at the same time was perplexing given what we had seen the week before.

they only  have 3 players on the roster over 6'6".  The tallest being 6'9" and he doesn't play much.  We should not get overpowered in the paint or have problems rebounding in this game.

When he was drafted Barry said he was going to play 10 years which is exactly what he did.  Is it his fault the Lions didn't draft Olineman to make his job easier.  Is it his fault they constantly let quality players leave so they could overpay stiffs like Scott Mitchell.

Thin and somewhat athletic player who could block shots.  I don't know many 6'11" HSers that can't block shots.  His offensive game was basically dunks and layups so I never understood all the hype. I'm not saying he's not good, but the best HS player in the country?

is it time for Funk to go.  Of course, Funk wasn"t helped out any by Borges continually calling plays that highlighted the weakest part of our O line.  The other thing that really bothers me is that we seemed to run behind Lewan and Schofield a lot last year and this year we hardly used Lewan in the run game.

according to both Denard and Hoke after the game per ESPN.  It just wasn't called.  The real question should be why Devin and Denard weren't on the field at all after halftime.  Why were all those plays wasted against Iowa? I was at the Nebraska/MSU game and MSU got more calls than Nebraska did including the late hit when a Spartan pushed the Husker defender causing the late hit.  The bottom line...we controlled our destiny and lost

Bill Walsh stated it takes 3-4 years to fully learn and understand the offense.  Sounds like a really foolish type of offense to run when top notch college players stay 3 years maybe 4 at the most.

Borges is a West Coast offense guy and Bill Walsh, who is credited with creating the offense, says it takes 3 to 4 years to perfect.  IMO, this is the stupidest offense you can install in college where the stars stay 3 maybe 4 years.  Ask Nebraska fans who experienced Bill Callahan and the WCO before Pellini what they think of it.

and our O sucks.  Even with a young and inexperienced QB next year his O will do better than ours will next year given our QB will also be inexperienced. 

3 out of 8 games without a TD.  Has this ever happened in 133 years of Michigan football?  Even the 2008 team managed to score a TD in every game with one returning starter on O and Sheridan/Threet at QB.  I'm frightened to think what the offense is going to look like next year as we don"t run the ball very well out of the I and Bellomy well my mother taught me if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. 

We aren't very good running plays under center and I can't stand Borges.  The real question is will we ever score a TD again?  Ohio put up 63 on Nebraska we have six at half.

and Tate held both his arms ups like a TD signal before the play was run.  When the pick was thrown my heart sank.  Then I had to put up with a Sparty fan poking me in my chest and another one yelling Tate can suck this on the way out. Had my kid with me so I had to just take it and use it as a teaching lesson in how not to act in victory. 

since we moved a safety up to LB basically playing a 4-4 or HS defense as you would say. This made it impossible to leave the CB responsible for pitch coverage and once AF figured out to block Kovacs made the D totally ineffective against the option. IMO the D would have been better served moving one of the LBs up and leaving four deep so they could play cover 3 and free up a corner or SS (preferable) to play the pitch.  Instead we had the 4-4 OLB forcing the pitch or playing in no man's land and no one on the pitch man because he was blocked.

Played against option teams many times and our DE was always responsible for the QB and the CB had responsible for the pitch or at least forcing it back inside for the LB and/or safety to clean up. All that matters is that we won though I'm strating to worry about our Oline. 

about our D this year?  You hate it yet because it has sucked big time.

he donated Ipads to the football team.  They had to attach them to their football lockers so as not to provide an extra benefit.  I don't know if the has changed or not since then, but it was illegal a couple years ago.

For compliance reasons, the iPads will be mounted into each player's locker. The football staff will have the ability to send messages to the players via their iPads. The players will be able to acknowledge and respond, but their messages will be limited to football and academic personnel only.

Just out of curiousity why do you have in your top 10?  I love the attitude and effort, but his big year was because of QB oh noes.  It's not real hard to put up great numbers when you're allowed to run untouched down the seams.  Playing outside last year he was not a very good WR.

They may not have been champions on the court, but if they managed to get their degrees they were probably champions in life.  It all depends on if you are taking the champions part as only referring to athletics.

 I hate the one and done rule as it makes a mockery of the "student athlete".  All the kid has to do is make it through the first semester and they are good to go.  I'd prefer they either let them get drafted right out of HS or make them stay at two years.  If a kid can't/doesn't want to attend school for two years there is always the D league.

It has two primary benefits.  You have the ability to acclimated to going to Michigan without having to deal with football at the same time and you get that extra time in a college strength and conditioning program.  The extra 15 practices are just an added bonus.

Considering there will be the possibility of Taylor leaving after next season getting a LT prospect on campus early is a good thing.

I had the All In package both years it was offered.  I made the mistake of thinking my university would take this into consideration when they decided to do away with it in favor of the money grabbing 4 game packs that DB instituted last year.  I was told that I could order my four game pack the same time as the rest of the general public.  I guess to the university "loyalty" is a one way street.

which averages out to $65 a game.  DB better hope the Big House is sold entirely as season tickets because no one in their right mind would pay $75 to see UMass. What's worse, paying $75 for UMass or full price for NFL pre season games?  Thank goodness for the secondary market.  I paid $76 for 3 for Minny last year and $34 for a pair to EMU. 

I guess I'll be spending a lot of time in front of TV on Saturdays this fall instead of screaming my head off in the Big House.  It'll be interesting to see how quick it will take DB to hit the breaking point where fans come dressed as empty seats.  I suspect it will be sooner rather than later and he won't have to worry about another stadium expansion.

for a kid who doesn't want to be there?  If the kid didn't get drafted he probably left against the coaches advice.  Just get rid of the one and done because it makes a mockery of the term student/athlete.  Staying eligible for one semester is all you have to do.

against some extremely weak teams isn't impressive.  Face it if JB keeps recruiting the way he is players aren't going to be staying for their junior and senior years.  Players like Robinson and McGary have high expectations of themselves and it doesn't usually involve playing 3-4 years of college Bball.

They seem to do OK with a bunch of one and done players.  NC has guys leave early all the time.  IMO none of the three that left had shown the ability to be anything but role players with the talent coming in next year.  To be fair to CB, he never really got the opportunity.

Saginaw High is tough as nails and gets after it on the D end.  I don't know if they will score enough, but they will be a handful.

As much as I hate to say it, I got a pair to EMU last year for 34 bucks, Minny $76 for three tickets, SDSU $90 for a pair.  I missed ND and WMU and the only game I paid face value for was Nebraska because I bought them early (father in law played for 70's NC team).

why didn't they just tell the kid that from the start.  It's not like we have a verbal from a WILL so the coaches just recently must have decided that they weren't going to recruit one.  GC is loaded with talent every year and we've known for a while that O'Daniel was coming for the spring game.  You know that bad news travels at 10 times the rate of good news and O'Daniel doesn't sound very happy about this development.

I'm glad the coaches are giving the recruits the heads up that they are full are their positions and giving them the option of deciding if they want to spend their own money on an unofficial.  I just hope this doesn't come back to bite them in the future.  We wanted 6 OL last year and looked like we might make it or even get 7 with Garnett, Diamond, and Kozan still on the board.  Instead Stacey decommitted and we didn't land any of those on the board and ended up with four. 

As for Fuller, if you get him on campus you have a shot even if it is a long shot.  If you don't you don't have to worry about it.

Screw them.  They want to be independent let them be and have the BIG completely stop scheduling them.  ND's schedule will become a joke and NBC will drop their TV contract. 

Think what ND's schedule will become once the BIG/Pac12 agreement starts.  I would guess that Stanford, Purdue, and MSU will consider dropping them and I would hope we do too.  If USC also dropped them ND's schedule would be an absolute joke with the three academies, BC, and whatever middling BCS schools they could pick up.

Braylon has had one very good season in the NFL and pretty much stunk up the place the rest of his career.  He needs to concentrate on his career before he is out of the league and stop worrying about what is going on at Michigan.

Eugene Marve?  When I was in HS I used to work out with him at the Y.  4 years HS(RB, CB, and K), 1 year of college, coached youth (OC and HC), and have worked with DBs and K individually at the HS level.

Not a big fan of the "Maize Out".  They very seldom work unless the stands are filled with yellow pom poms.  Reality is that football fans like to wear football jerseys to games and we don't have a maize jersey.  That being said I still wear maize every game, but my kids prefer to wear their jerseys.

Kozan doesn't want to play center.  That is why it may be a help in landing him.

Very seldom do you see a highly rated center.  Being an interior position you often see recruits move to center when they get to college.  Jack Miller didn't play center in HS and neither did Christian Pace who unfortunately is out of football due to injury.
