I know that 247 had some VIP info on Garrett today.  The tweet said it was new positive news for Michigan.

That is kind of what we do now right?  It is fantastic to get in on this kid early, and getting him on campus once already is great.  I am glad to see that Manning is building relationships and getting kids on campus.  Not hard to believe from a guy with his personality.

Most experts have Hand with a top 2 of VT and Michigan.  Peppers has a top 2 of Stanford and Michigan. 

I would think every class wants to have their class be ranked #1.  I will assume that this article was more about how they want to get the best group of guys possible together so that they can reach maximum success together.  With such a small class this year I am not too worried about how the team ranks, but would love to see Michigan land a few real difference makers at possitions of need.  Harris could be one of those.  Hand and Peppers could too.  Things are headed in the right direction and it is important for that to continue until the success on the field starts showing up. 

Slight highjack:  Are we kidding ourselves with Hand?  18 of 20 staff at 247 predict Hand to VT.  That is a pretty high percentage for a player we are feeling like we have a legit shot at.

Each player has to do what is best for them, but I am sure glad that these 2 choose to come back.  Should be able to compete with the talent they will have next year.  Wow, will they be young.

2014 is off to a great start with tons of interest from the very good to great/elite players.  2015 already has some top players visiting and talking up Michigan.  Harris, Campbell, DeBerry and others.  Very exciting.

I was hoping he would Go Blue.  I am glad we are loaded at O-Line from the last 2 years because I do not see us landing studs across the line again this year.   Maybe the coaches are focusing on other areas.  I can't blame them.  They are killing it at every other position this cycle.  Early results being early and all.

Imagine if Indiana had lost in the finals.

Great to get a great player from Florida.  He alone is a huge get for Michigan.  The fact that he is tight with other studs from East Lake could be HUGE!

Michigan has games left with MSU and Indiana and then we have the B1G tourny.  If Michigan losses 2 more games this year it may be tough to get a 1 seed.  If they only lose 1 they make a good case for a spot on the 1 line.  I know the hopes of winning the B1G title are slim, but it should be a very fun ending to the season.

Not the guy you would think would help when the team is playing sloppy, but he always brings energy.  Sometimes that is enough to bring everyone else up.

I will not be too upset if I never have to see him on the sidelines again, but the loss of a head coach with his record of winning is bad for the conference.

Every fan base has idiots, he is  using ours to feel better about no longer being apart of this class.  I hate the idiots that would even say anything to him about his decision and talking about his Dad is totally classless.  I hope he is able to land on his feet and if that means playing for a rival and losing to Michigan 3 or 4 times in his career so be it.

I love Hoke's answer about needing to get more pressure on the qb from the front 4.  I love what the coaching staff has done with this defense, but when they bring in some game changers on the line it will be a different story.  When they can get pressure and can press with their corners they can become an elite defense.

I heard he was playing a game at the same time as the Michigan game.  I wish he was able to make it too, but at least he has a good reason not to be there.  Maybe he can keep McQuay company at the Northwestern game.

We are already behind both MSU and ND for our 2014 class.  Don't get ahead of yourself.  I can't wait to see the 2014 class start to come together.  Building on these last 2 classes should be fun to watch.

Sure he is killing other high school kids, but he has been recieving very high marks against top level talent at camps all summer long.  I also could see him working his way into the #1 jersey.  He would be a perfect fit for this draft class.

He looks to be a great player, a good kid and at a position of need for this class.  What is not to like?

With 3 good LBs at Cass Tech for '14 and seeing the UM is in on a couple of out of state LBs it is going to be a sqeeze if a player wants in.  I see them taking 2 again in '14.  I assume the coaching staff know they can go be picky at LB with the depth they have from the last 2 classes.

Dawson shows in these camps that he has a nasty streak.  He plays to and a bit past the whistle.  If you watch the highlight tape on Fox and Boesch you will see a nasty side to them to.  They are pounding one guy and then looking to get someone on the next level.  These 3 on the same line will we so awesome.

That was predicting 2 or 3 commits for our spring game?

The later into the game it gets he really unloads.  Fastball are all 99 or faster and his breaking stuff is just not fair.

I am a bit tired of hearing that good rbs can be great behind a great O-Line.  I know that this is the case, but does not ease the pain of missing out on Isaac.  A great rb behind a great line can bring your teams offense to another level.

Most of us are just having some fun with a recruite we are excited to see down the road.  We understand he has not done anything and it will be a while before he contributes. 

That being said he has had his hand in brining in several commits and is part of the early success that is attracting more attention to Michigan.  The coaching staff and last years team has a lot to do with the turn around that they experienced on the field and Shane and the early commits are having a similar affect on recruiting.

So... Happy Shaniverary to all.

He was the MVP of the Elite#11 camp he did on Friday, but was not named the QB MVP on Saturday.

To answer the question about The Opening tickets I am guessing it was a combination of ranking coming in and how they did at camp.  The really highly ranked players just have to pass the eye test.  They do not need to be the top performer on that day.

I think that is main reason he decided on LaCouture as the player he named.  Very sneaky.

Just another reason to trust the players that these coaches are going after.  It would be great to see him win Camp OL MVP.

1A and 1B for the 2013 class.  Of everyone left on the board these guys are the best players at positions of need that are looking at Michigan.  Rounding out the remaining spots would be gravy if they can land these guys.

Not the way you want a player like Mo to go out.  Never liked the Yankees, but I am pretty sure there is not 1 thing bad I can say about him. 

Gladney said that Iowa is leading and Nebraska is also in his top 2.  That leaves Treadwell as the lone midwest reciever.  Of course things change, so who knows the coaches can get him in for a visit.

So many sad stories about the aftermath.  These guys will never find the rush and thrill they had in football when they are done playing.  That void seems to to affect so many players and it plays out a little differently in each case.  This is one of the sad cases.  RIP Junior, my thoughts and prayers are with you family and kids.

The 9th inning has been horrible during Verlander starts.  Lost a tough one today.

Michigan has several offers out to WR, and I know they really want Treadwell, but I do not see them holding a spot for him.  Recruiting receivers is a different animal.  If they get 2 kids that they like to commit they will take them and move on.  Are those of you closer to the situation thinking that Treadwell will have a spot held for him?

For us it is tough to wait for him to decide, but who can blame  him taking his time.  I get the feeling that he is communicating with the coaches and teams involved he is just not making his every though available on twitter.  He seems like a well grounded, thoughtful kid.  Put me in the "Do Like" camp.

Taco just tweeted that it is crazy that he is now hearing from Alabama and Cal and other far away schools.  Get ready for a steady stream of this for the next 10 months.

I will say that we have the right set of coaches and the right environment at Michigan to prevent that from happening.  The only message they will recieve from the coaches as incoming freshmen is that if they want a spot they have to earn it.  Nothing is given to these kids.  They know that and it is what they are signing up for when they commit to Michigan.

I think this is how JL dreamed the season would start.  Minus the Fister injury.  Cabby and Prince doing work in the late innings and Austin on base all day long.

A year to back up Trey and get minutes as the primary backup to the PG is a great situation for Spike.  Is it possible the speculation of Trey leaving actually helped us?  I am guessing an offer to Michigan was enough to land Spike with our without the news on Trey.

Adding a PG this late is big for next year.  I am sure there will be growing pains, but adding a player like this is another piece that could contribute.

This is one of my favorite days of the year.  JV on the bump and Prince plays his first game with the Tigers.  I can not wait!  We are under 5 hours til game time.

Burke stays and JB uses the talk of him looking at the NBA to bring in a solid pg recruit.  Who would not want to go to Michigan?  Play for a year backing up Burke and then the playing time is wide open. 

I would say Poggi is in the top 3 on the wish list.  A top talent at a position of need.

I really love that these players that are being recruited hard seem to be great athletes and great kids.

I do not think we will add another RB now that we have Smith.  I am really pumped!  It would have been tough to see him across the field for another team.  Now he can do the punishing for us.

We have some experience in close games.

Michigan went to overtime against a bad Minnesota team and then got thumped by the other Ohio.  They are a trendy team to pick against more than Ohio is a cinderella.  They pick against Michigan and then look for ways to say Ohio is a cinderella.  Lets just hope that midnight comes early on Friday night.

The addition of Isaac will only help our rankings.  Sure hope projectM is a success.

I love this news.  It seems that the coaches would like to add a third reciever and Massington would be a great player to add.  It still leaves room for Treadwell, but does not leave the cupboard bare if Quon does not Go Blue.

Cravens has the best highlight tape I have seen.  His speed to the ball and ability to finish is very impressive.  He looks like he is playing at a total different speed than everyone else.
