A couple of months ago my stepbrother and I tried playing a few games of NHL '12 I think it was ... every game ended up 2-1 or 1-0 because we had no idea what we were doing. This included a real gem that went to a shootout which lasted, and I wish were kidding because this is just pathetic, 32 rounds before I mercifully scored.

On second thought it could just be that I suck at hockey games.

What the fuck, I mean seriously, what in the fuck!? This is just horrible beyond words. My prayers go out to everyone affected by this senseless act.

I still have my subscription to Rivals as well but wonder to myself with each passing day why (well, I guess I know why, because it's paid through Jan '14).

If people complain about the mlive-ness of the mgoboard then I have no idea what they would say about The Fort.  I barely ever venture in other than to read the ITFs, and even then those are linked on the front page.

I think they lost a lot when Helmholdt left.  Good for him, though, getting that Midwest Recruiting Analyst gig.

If Syracuse's zone was unbeatable then they'd be 39-0. They ain't, though -- nine games saw the other team figure it out. That number will rise to 10 tonight.

Try uninstalling the app and reinstalling, it appears to have worked for me.  Previous to doing that I was not able to post, either.

It seems that if you've downloaded the latest update over the top of the old one, it won't work, and an uninstall/reinstall is required.  At least, that was the case for me.

EDIT:  Never mind.  This worked for me once, but just now I tried to post and got the dreaded "Unfortunately MGoBlog has stopped responding" error message.  Le sigh.

Michigan defeated K-State by 14 points, in a game that was basically over with 11:00 left in the second half.

From there on out the margin hovered around 20 until the very late stages where the Wildcats made some meaningless baskets against the end of Michigan's bench to make the end result look like less of a bludgeoning.

Make no mistake, though, Michigan dominated Kansas State in nearly every facet.

Furthermore, Evans makes it seem as though Michigan lost every time they donned the all-maize unis.  Quite the opposite in fact, as they were an inch away from being 3-0 in them.

Matthew Dellavedova of St. Mary's just had a complete stinker of a game against the Zags, finishing with 2 points on 1-8 shooting (0-4 3pt), 7 assists, and 3 turnovers.

A performance like that in a game that some might say St. Mary's needed to win (or at least come damn close to doing so) probably pushes the Aussie out the door.  Next!

I vivdly recall being really frustrated at the biased calls in last year's trip to Happy Valley, and wondering aloud to anyone if the refs just felt really bad for PSU's terrible record.  I distinctly recall anything resembling a slight breeze on a PSU player being called a foul, and Michigan players getting mauled down low and it was "play on."

MSU played five games against teams with an RPI north of 200 (not including Ark-Pine Bluff at 197), plus D2 Tuskegee in their non-conference slate.  Impressive games were UCONN, Kansas, Miami, and I guess Boise.

Michigan played four games against RPI-200+ teams, plus D2 Slippery Rock.  Impressive games were NC State, K-State, Pitt, and possibly Arkansas now that they've been playing considerably better of late.

That will be a nice rest.  Not that the coaches or players will look at it as such, because obviously, but just that those games won't be a grind to the end (or a blowout loss early on), so the guys can focus a little more on running their sets and doing so in an environment not full of screaming brahs.

The guys look beaten down from this four game stretch from hell.  I feel really bad for them because they're working their butts off (tonight you can question that a little regarding certain players) and the results haven't been there.

I should note that my rooting theory assumes Michigan beats Wisconsin on the road, which, so very much easier said than done.

I think we want Minnesota to win this game to further validate our win over them on the road.  Because we only play them that one time, we have the tiebreaker.  Wisconsin we also only play once, but they don't have the cachet of the Gophers (deserved or not, I guess only time will tell) so I think we want Minnesota to continue to look strong.
