Not necessarily true. Basketball is a game of rhythm and cohesiveness, and not playing with a guard for the majority of season you are bound to not have either of those things.

I would much rather see a coach take a team from being picked last in the conference to a possible berth in the dance, instead of a coach who takes a preseason favorite wire to wire. You are right Mattison is a great person, and football coach, but Ray Lewis has a different level of talent and intensity that just can not be coached.

I agree they did have a lot of big plays you are right about that, but the only time they could sustain drives is when they played flawless against UConn. When we played legitimate competition from the Big Ten we could not sustain drives, and thus watched stall out after stall out every week. Go Blue

I enjoy this post, but you are going to catch a lot of flack because "Hoke was coaching in the MWC, and his stats are not comparable". I guess people just do not understand that ALL of RR's offense statistics came against very inferior competition also. He did absolutely nothing against any of the legitimate teams in the B1G until we got down by 20-25 points. Why wont people just back our coach? Hoke loves it here, he wants to be here, and he is not going to leave unitl he is forced out. Other coaches did not want this job, so embrace somebody who does!
