Was it last night people were talking about whether Ross' TFL was an A-gap or just a read... Morgan loops behind him to cover his A-Gap. So a damn quick blitz for sure.

Hardest I've ever been hit was when I was playing for an All-Ohio Senior team... It was a practice and I was an OLB at around 6'0 170. The offense threw a jailbreak screen and the receiver caught it but when he went to tuck the ball he fumbled somehow.. not sure how but not important. I ran into the flats and scooped the ball around the hash and looked up to see some HUGE D1 tackle 2 feet from me. Before I could react he hit me and I flew from the hash to the sideline. It felt like it anyway.

One of those hits where you pop right up after to act like it didn't suck.

This was more entertaining than watching the actual president fill his out.

All I saw in that video was the deep ball. I know things have been said about his arm strength but how's his accuracy on other throws? Can he hit a 15 yard comeback?

If he can show he can make other throws I think he'll definitely be a four star before it's all said and done.

I'm telling you, home court means EVERYTHING in the Big Ten. In case you forgot, IU lost to Minny last night.. so it's not like Michigan is the only team underperforming right now.

Still can't tell how Michigan is going to do on neutral court.

A lot can happen from now until tourney time. All Michigan can do is win every game.

Part of Gardner's ceiling is dependent on how well the weapons around him play.

Henne, Navarre, Henson, and Brady all had NFL-caliber recievers to throw to. Walker, Terrell, Edwards, Breaston, Manningham, Arrington, Avant, etc.

I know Gallon plays bigger than he is but you have to have guys who can stretch the field on a consistent basis. Michigan needs some of its younger players to fill those shoes so Gallon doesn't have to be the vertical guy while Dileo is the underneath guy.

On the bright side, the other thing that the beforementioned QB's had was a beast of a RB to work the playaction pass like Thomas, Perry, Hart, etc. I think Michigan has a guy in Green and also in Smith who can fill that role.

I believe that Gardner has the ability to be an All-American. But the realist in me believes that he'll top out at All-Big 10.

Good article. Fitz has had to deal with a lot of injury during his career. Two seasons ago he proved how good he can be at his best. I'm hoping he can get back on the field running well again

Why don't they make a Big Ten WOO division with:

Michigan, MSU, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Penn State, Illinois, and Ohio... conveniently listed last

and a Big Ten MEHHH division with:

Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, and Northwestern.

That way the winner of the WOO division has an easy road to the Rose Bowl and since whoever wins the B1G will have came from that division and played tougher teams, they'll be more ready to compete in the BCS game.

Side note: When the B1G gets Georgia Tech, they go to the WOO division.

Of course it was a boring game to watch. I couldn't expect Michigan to get amped to play a great emotional game when the game was going to be anything but. They took care of business and that's all you can ask.

It will still be tough for them to replace their dline. I'd rather have Hankins and Simon than some highly rated untested sophomores and freshman.

Being from small school Ohio in MAC country, I can tell you that Marion Local is a definite favorite in the D6 finals. They've teetered between D5 and D6 in the past few years and they could probably win either division. Looking for the MAC to add to their long list of state championships.

That was the one thing I noticed on his highlight tape. He seems to chase the ball through the whistle.

I'm sure other traits would be evident if I watched a real film and not a highlight reel.

I don't disagree.. But sometimes with a lack of ball pressure a player will try to force the action some. Not once did he play out of the tempo of the game. Something could be said for that.. He controlled the game well

When kids commit early they don't get a chance to feel out the other schools interested to see which is the best fit. I hope he feels out the other coaches and schools and decides UM is his home.

Other than that, I'm not too upset about it. Assuming Countess recovers, the corners will look to be Avery, Countess, and Taylor.. Richardson is a maybe to go there too. Depth is a minor issue but if Conley doesn't recommit I'd guarantee this class gets another CB

If the team takes care of business against Ohio and whoever they play in a bowl game, the record will come. I'm not at all worried about it.

I'm more worried about Michigan winning this saturday so I can listen to all the Ohio fans around me act like the sky is falling for another year.

I wouldn't be that intimidated by an UM-Florida matchup. I watched BGSU stop them drive after drive. 2 missed field goals changed the scope of the game and Florida won 27-13.

With our defense, a healthy Denard, and plenty of brunette girls for Gibbons, I think we could get a repeat of Lloyd Carr's last game.

Looks like a good jump-ball receiver. Junior Hemmingway wasn't a speedster but he could win any jump-ball catch. I'll take another one of those. Thank you very much.

Just going to say-- when Denard went out of the game and it was still a close game against a good NE team IN LINCOLN, we were screwed. Unless somehow Denard managed to get back on the field during the game we were going to lose. We don't have the talent pool that Alabama has to make us be able to make up for a lose of a starting QB. If A.J. McCarron at Bama would have gotten hurt, they could pound the ball down their opponent's throat and probably pull off a win... Obviously the way our run game has looked all year outside of Denard, we couldn't do the same.

Sure, When Braxton Miller went out and Kenny Guiten(Spelling?) came in and won the game, that was an exception... but they were playing freaking Purdue. It wouldn't have happened against a decent team. Go back a few years when Oregon had Dennis Dixon and he messed his knee up: They went from a NC team to a scrub team in one game.

You lose a starting QB that brings as much to the table as Denard, and I don't care WHO you put into the game or how you call the game as an OC... you aren't going to beat a good team on the road.

I'm not so sure about that. Denard is a true Michigan man. He would do anything to help his team win. He was on the sideline trying to shake the trainer's hand to show if he had his grip back after his injury. To say he just stood there and watched his team lose is a little harsh.

The way I see it, Bellomy was a deer in the headlights as it was already. He was getting coached up the whole time he was on the sideline. The last thing he needed was his senior QB teammate putting another voice in his head. He needed to calm down more than anything.
