1.) Montgomery will most likely only be in charge of DT's at Oklahoma

2.) Michigan offered him a "competitive compensation package"

3.) He could be in line for the DC job when Mattison retires

4.) Stoops is going to be on the hot seat soon if he doesn't start winning big games/win the (weakening) Big 12.

These rumors are legitimate, at least according to OU people....he might've have even interviewed for the job, but I'm very skeptical about that. Michigan should be able to counter; I see this as asking for a pay raise (he is lowest paid on our staff).

OT: but has anyone else heard rumors about Jerry Montgomery? OU sources saying he is a viable option and he might have already interviewed for the job.

In regards to Green trying to recruit Hand, I'm sure it won't hurt to have Green host Hand when he makes an official visit here.

From what I've heard, I don't think there is a chance any of them commit then. Cole *might* but I think he wants to take more time and visits, while ND probably leads for Scott and Campbell is a 2015 guy.

Does anyone else think that the guys over at 11Warriors actively try to push recruits to OSU? Their lead guy, Alex, is the most biased "writer" I've ever seen and I fail to see how he could ever be subjective when interviewing kids.

Harris will be a tough pull from what I've heard and read. Ohio State, Alabama, and Florida are teams that have thrown their hat in the ring. We should have a chance though because he is an instate prospect and also likes our offense.

What a great deal. Calderon is a pass-first PG who can knock down the 3....he and Drummond are going to be fun to watch. Getting rid of Tay's contract was also a win. Sets them up for some big moves this summer to complement Monroe, Drummond, and Knight, and with a good-looking free agent crop, I don't think Joe will mess up again.

Yeah, it was hard for me to believe that too. But even with all the turmoil involving the coaches, we only had a slight lead over AU and Tennessee. Another poster mentioned that the pay walled Rivals board had a post saying how Green was going to shock the world and pick Auburn. I certainly hope he choose us as we are the best fit, on the field and in the classroom, for him.

They do have a very good engineering program. It may not be rated as highly as ours, but it is also much harder to get into ours and that may affect how he views the programs.

Harbaugh's dub in this probably is very similar to the way Harbaugh actually speaks.

I'm sure the basketball game is contributing to this, but no need to be so butthurt. Urban is a great recruiter, and maybe some kids just want to make their own legacy at other school. Yes, it still stings that he would choose them over us, but we will get ours and they will get theirs. Simple as that.

It is. I might be repeating myself by now but it is really strange how this is happening during the dead period. There were rumors Poggi wanted to visit A&M around November, but he was afraid of losing his spot so he never did. But now? It seems like the perfect storm. Even it is a "business trip", you know Saban will be trying his best to flip Poggi the entire time

Btw, Derrick Green was answering some questions in a Rivals live chat. Highlights: Michigan has a small lead, best relationship with a coach is with Hoke, wants to major in sports psychology or business, plans on committing early this month, and the kicker is, will take more visits after committing. We'll see if that happens if he decides to commit to Michigan

I hope other recruits don't decide to take visits because of this situation. I'm pretty sure there are a few that wanted to but held off because of the rule in fear of losing their commit status, but now that Conley has seemingly pulled off a visit and remained a commit, others may use this as a reason.

Probably 2 for 27, maybe 28. Anything more than 30 is bad because Beltran's 2 for 26 is the closest comparable and he is a superior player to Hunter. I really like this though. Put him in the 2 hole and our lineup looks 10x better. Plus, he can play a good left field

I wasn't able to watch the game, but I counted about 4 Jake Ryan TFL's in this video.  We may have a future 1st-rounder on our hands, gentlemen (Minnesota caveat in mind).  The play where he baited the running back to bounce outside and then shoved the QB to snatch the RB for a loss was pretty damn impressive.

It's not hard to be the best when they've apparently only offered two so far, but I agree that Harris is a stud. His highlight tape is pretty damn amazing for a 2015 kid and it looks like he will be a high 4star and maybe even a 5 star

Great story. The father seems to have realized the error of his (former) ways, and the younger Peppers seems like an outstanding person. Apparently, Stanford is his leader, which shows he is indeed serious about his academics and not just blowing smoke like many other recruits have.

I didn't expect a win, but I didn't expect a thrasing, either.  At least Lewan is ok.  Countess, well, we shall see if he ever returns to 100% and continues on his path to stardom.  

I wasn't upset with the outcome of the game.  I was upset Countess was injured on ST and Lewan was injured playing in a 14-41 game with 4 minutes left.  If both are out for an extended period of time, well, I might just go punch a dolphin.
