I'm assuming your "Yes" is a reply to "a disproportionate number of child abusers people who themselves were abused as child[ren]." The question of whether the now accused Jeffrey Sandusky, adopted son of Jerry, was abused by Jerry has not been answered. It was another of Jerry and Dottie's adopted sons, Matt, who previously admitted abuse by his adopted father during Jerry's prosecution.

|2 weeks 3 days ago||Well,||
guys who can do both are nice to have, but when they're injured (which is more likely if they're doing both), you need multiple guys to step in. Having a kicker and a punter allows each to be the other's backup. Typically, your best kicker isn't your best punter, and vice versa.
Guys like Kenny Allen are few and far between, and that's okay with me.

Between 1999, when Buffalo rejoined Div I, and 2006, the team did not win more than three games a year. In the three seasons before 2007, Buffalo's record was 2-9, 1-10, 2-10. Gill's squad won as many games in 2007 as they had in the preceding three seasons.
In 2008, they played in the first bowl game in program history.
|18 weeks 4 days ago||Agree.||
Spack is also a Purdue alum.
|18 weeks 4 days ago||True,||
but he only had three seasons; back then (1977-79) head coaches were usually given their full initial contract, typically four or five years. Prior to Moeller's arrival, Illinois was usually around .500 in won-lost record; they declined to 2-3 wins for the three years he was there.

But their east coast regular season schedule was never as tough as the other national title contenders. For fun, check out the Lambert Trophy, given annually to the best FBS team in the East. Penn State has won it an impressive 29 times; the second most frequent winner, with 7 trophies is Army (YTA).
|22 weeks 10 hours ago||Well,||
the article says he's made enemies during his time in Ann Arbor, it does not specify where those enemies are.
We know that many of them are in SEC territory and in other Big Ten football programs.
We also know he's made lots of new friends during his time in Ann Arbor, but the article is not about that. It about what a great coach James Franklin is and what a bright future he and Penn State share. I wouldn't want them to say anything different at this point.

Late sixties in Allentown, PA. I had an evening route for the first year, which really cut into my after-school schedule. Lots of walking because about 15% of the houses took the evening paper in 1965 (TV news was having an impact).
Switched to a morning route the for four years, not as much walking because the morning paper was much more popular, probably about 70% saturation. I loved reading the paper at 6:00 AM while the streets were quiet, especially in spring, summer and fall.
Going door-to-door to collect ~$2.50 per fortnight ($1.92 for the evening paper) was part of the job, too. Once every two weeks, I'd walk downtown to pay for my papers; there were two excellent pinball opportunities along the way ...

|42 weeks 1 day ago||Wait,||
did you mean the Rose Bowl game seemed anti-climactic? I felt that too, though probably not as much as Iowa fans.
You have a reasonable explanation for the ratings decline: parties and people watching as best they could at commercial NYE celebrations.
|42 weeks 1 day ago||Okay,||
I took your usage of anti-climactic to refer to the slate of bowl games on that day, as if the matchup was disappointing and lacking interest. If you meant otherwise, please elucidate.
I do not know everyone in the country; my (admittedly) small group of Michigan fans was in full attendence for Alabama-MSU in the Cotton Bowl. I did read that the ratings figures were down, but this is of little consequence to me; hopefully they'll be way up next year when Harbaugh's team makes its first appearance in the CFP.

A quick check of the UM hockey roster for 2015-2016 shows 6 freshmen, 7 sophs, 9 juniors and 3 seniors. That is not the profile of Kentucky or Duke basketball, and we were talking basketball.

|47 weeks 6 days ago||I'd suggest one minor change:||
Instead of "Guy ...",
I'd go with "Sanctimonious prick ...".
|47 weeks 6 days ago||Unlike Woody,||
Dillon Brooks could go for three and did.
I agree, the kid did nothing wrong. And I an *not* an Oregon fan.
Coach K has problems with losing graciously.
|48 weeks 4 days ago||WD,||
please pass the vegemite.

with 6:00 to play in first half.
|49 weeks 6 days ago||His argument,||
at least the portion he expounded during halftime of our game, is that power five teams on the bubble benefit during conference tournaments because they're generally playing teams with high RPIs, while mid-major bubble teams usually see their RPIs decline even while winning in their conference tournaments. Mid-major teams need to build their resumes on the basis of their non-conference schedules.
I don't know enough about RPI calculation and its relationship to the Big Dance selection process to evaluate his argument. He should have shown some charts!

there's a galaxy in which a planet much like our own has experienced the exact events SaveFerris has described.
But it's not our planet, that's for sure.

He's always ripping "homers", but complained about the officiating in the 40th Super Bowl for years afterwards. Aw, did your homestate Seahawks get the short end, Colin? Man-up.
|1 year 2 weeks ago||Easy explanation.||
20 years from now ...
Football fan: You played college football! Where?
UAB recruit: <loud>UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA ... <quiet>birmingham.
Football fan: Good for you; let me buy you a drink.

what if everyone here is WD except me?
This is getting wierd ...
|1 year 4 weeks ago||Not really.||
Rosenberg gets paid for clicks on the site that employs him; avoiding his site avoids paying him to write his bullshit. If enough people avoid his work, Rosenberg might redirect his life in a direction more beneficial to mankind than trolling the fanbase of his alma mater.

It's the only one west of the Mississippi River.
|1 year 5 weeks ago||True,||
but a 360 cm tall receiver would be comfortably within the expected range for tacopants, and would create matchup problems for any DB under 10 feet tall.

Best breakfast, ever.
And, if the Pretzel Bell is comnig back, can the Village Bell be far behind?

if he stays four years, he should be in Ann Arbor twice.

I hate to think what I would have sounded like in the middle of my Senior year of High School on National TV.

It's still Saturday, Pittsburgh plays at Cinci tonight.
Seattle at Minnesota kicks off noon-ish CST Sunday (tomorrow).

AFC matchups OVER.
|1 year 7 weeks ago||You make some good points.||
Since players are generally larger than when the two decimal digit standard was imposed; perhaps we're ready to move to three digit numbers. Perhaps Mr O'Korn would like #555.
Or, perhaps we're ready to advance to hexadecimal: #A5 for you, Mr O'Korn?
I could support either of these proposals, but together they seem to be overkill. Of course, the combination would have allowed Ruddock to wear #DAD.

It's hard to imagine anyone appoaching the level of douchebagness which is Charlie Weis.
|1 year 7 weeks ago||Well,||
ESPN has been accuracy-challenged for its entire history; this was overlooked in its early days when it was run on a skimpy budget and the relative handful of talking heads were on for 12 hours at a stretch.

A photographer with a huge lens was on the field during timeouts in the first half. I thought he was taking pictures of the various senior day recognitions (dancers, etc), but he was taking individual shots to stitch together to make this panoramic picture.
|1 year 13 weeks ago||Great writeup.||
I grew up in Pennsylvania, have been to State College a dozen times, but yesterday was the my first gameday experience. My wife and I were wearing maize and blue and _every_ interaction we had with PSU fans was positive. There was grumbling about some PI calls (wtf, every call should go your way?), but fans will be fans. I had several Penn State fans tell me to crush Ohio State next week (of course, I was telling them we'd be rooting for them next week).
Ice Cream from the Creamery on campus is delicious, and we met the Glascow brothers' grandparents there! All in all, a fun trip.
|1 year 13 weeks ago||Same here.||
I thought OSU -13 was a little high, but I'd have bet the farm on OSU -9.5; and that was when I thought Cook would start albeit banged-up. Saved myself a bundle by not being able to bet.
